  1. Hi there. If you ever tried to create or edit textures, you may have notice good ol' PiggViewer 1.61 let you do so... if you know in which pigg file it is. I grew tired to look into these one by one every time so i coded something to create an index of textures and where they are located. Hope this helps !   3. Just to be sure... you're looking for a gold-colored background no matter the alignment right ? I may be able to do that. For my own, i'm looking for a way to get the purple UI for powers and enhancements similar to what /uiskin 2 provides. But obviously this doesn't stick through alts, re-logging, and last time i tried it did reset itself after a while. That seem to be a lot more work than just the background though...

  6. Null specifically disables travel powers in the server tray, so you'll still get it for temporary powers. Kheldian shapeshifts get a specific option to disable them on the server tray.
  7. I had the same issue for a while then out of nowhere, it has been working fine for months, and counting. Not much you can do since it's probably server side... all i can suggest is you save your costume --before-- to validate the change so you can reuse it.
  8. I don't think it's hardware related. I've seen something similar on two machines with very different hardware. Sometimes when showing the 3rd tray (NOT the server tray with temps and extras), the animation can be very, very slow. It can last for hours if you stay logged in. But no big deal it's just UI stuff. Keybinds are working fine and no general lag. I have zero idea what triggers it or what "fixes" it but it seems not to happen in all maps, and mostly mission ones.

  10. Hello That's a bug i am not aware of, and which i cannot reproduce either. Try to uninstall, check the install dir has been emptied, then reinstall, see what it does.

We've got you covered ! A. Smoke FX replacement As it states, it aims to replace the super bright smoke textures that may be overwhelming the field of view, without completely masking them. Originals: - Burn + Blazing Aura + Irradiated ground. Oooooouh, this 10G candela source, neon-like feeling. Like the ground is going to melt 😛 - Fire Control > Fire Cages Remember not to let Fire-powered young heroes to play near dry bushes. You never know what can happen. - With mod applied, same set of powers Now you can play by night without wearing sunglasses, isn't that great ? 😛 No turning off your screen when playing was not a good idea. Available on CoH Modder as Dimmer smoke particles FX. As stated in the mod description, smoke particles use a generic texture that is used in many, many places. The more you know... This is intended to let the visual FX somehow visible but in a less annoying way. If you're looking for a complete removal of smoke and many other texture improvements, have a look at @therealtitanman Texture, Animation Sprite, UI, Texture Mod pack. B. Generic ring - slighly improved This one intends to add some sophistication from a, well, generic, simple ring. What do you see in this thing ? Magic, arcane stuff ? Pseudo-3D liquid bubbles ? Some fantasy sharp blades, maybe ? It's up to you ! As per the other one before it's a widely used texture... many things, sometimes unexpected, will be changed. Originals: Telekinetic Blast: Radiation Siphon: Summoning the Thunder !! I mean... an Ice Storm. With mod applied: Available on CoH Modder as Slighly improved generic ring. Enjoy 🙂
  12. Thank you 🙂 Side note: if you create a local mod and don't publish it, application shows an error box once, but if you click on it in the "uninstalled mods" list, the same error message will appear non stop until you force close the app.
  13. Hi Well the thing is... both are right and both are wrong, because this power has variable effects. Basically resist numbers are slighly off, but nothing spectacular: resistance would max at roughly 31% instead of 30%. This has been fixed in internal builds. However, the variable slider is by default at 0 so you could enhance it with 6 slots you'll still get nothing. Here's a short clip to explain it - hope this helps. 3hI5LgFZ1z.mp4
  14. Hello @The Philotic Knight, is there a way to check for mods updates without uninstalling and deleting them first ? That would be great. This may or may not have changed in between i got CoH Modder, think i got it the first time you mentioned it here and never updated since. Thank you 😃

Oh ok... wasn't aware of a rollback of any kind so i could have looked for a good while lol But still... you count at least a minute to zone in, 2 more to find the construction site - if you come down as a tourist not knowing by head the spots... that's my case - ? That's very short and definitely not enough if you want to go on a recruitment spree to fight it. I'll give it a shot someday if i'm lucky enough, see how it goes.
  16. Hey there. Follow up on the ticket i made about this so everyone know. The time frame to get the Paladin construction event is extremely short, and is stable on every occurence. As far as i know i noticed it the first time about 2 weeks ago. Maybe it has been there for longer, i don't monitor zone events all the time. 5 minutes, watch in hand, to try and prevent the Paladin from being built. You better be quick on the draw 😛 For once i was able to attend it: maybe i was unlucky but what's (not) there is strange to say the least. I couldn't find any Psychic Brass conduit, or whatever they're called. No electrical beam from these either. The Shining Stars were missing at their usual spot. Only few event related mobs i could find were a few Cogs around [-254.5 -0.5 -1733.5] (close to the #1 plaque with vidiotmaps, SSE from event marker) After a few i saw the Paladin run in front of me almost at the same spot ( [-190.0 -0.0 -1227.4] ) running north on the street. As i'm writing this (06:03 local time) a few event-level Cogs are trying to murder me. So cute. So it seems even if you rush in you just can't get Knight Errant badge right now. Any extra info/tip appreciated. Thank you 🙂
  17. Hello, For the bit i've checked so far some have the old fitness pool active, so it actually complains about a powerset that it cannot load. If you still have a copy of Mids 2.x you can open them, select something different for the 4th pool -any that exists in the current release- save and that should do it. If not, well that's going to be more complicated, yet not impossible. Your builds seem to have the plain text part in addition to the binary chunk so you can recreate them with the new version. Certainly not easy, quick or simple, but doable. It has been fixed in dev in between so the fix will be shipped within the next release. Or if you don't mind, it's "only" 65 of them, i can definitely update these for you and PM you the working builds if you want. PS: i appreciate you think Mids is run by post-doctorate students but for my own i only have a 3rd grade college title 😛 Damn you maths.

  19. Working on it. I barely manage to open it in an old 2.7 Mids but that's pretty much it. Pool #3 is set to null for no reason. I'll update this post if i can find something. Oh dear. Glad to hear, you have no idea. I felt bad for all the folks using it when i realized there was a major issue with it. --------------- Update: Issue found: the build @csr provided has only 3 active pools (plus one epic). Somehow it will render the last pool(s) blank (null) in the build file. I can more or less open it in an old 2.7 Mids but crashes with the same message listed before in 3.0.5.7 and dev versions. I think it only affects the power pools lists - i mean by that: the UI only - and not the build data. Proposed fix complete currently testing it To make it short: If an error is encountered on the first pool: fetch the first pool in the database by index and assign it. I don't know yet... Concealment maybe ? If an error is encountered on any of the other 3 pools: assign the same pool powerset as the one before. Made some random builds with empty pools under 1.x and 2.x MHD and i couldn't reproduce it. However the base test build (@csr's) works, so....... Yay ? I also noticed super old builds with Fitness won't load, so fixed as well. Thanks again for bring this to our attention 👍

  21. Hello, I noticed some weird behavior when using the base editor. (Re)posting this here hoping it gets extra visibility, workarounds maybe... I remember having posted a ticket about something similar months ago but i found extra info in between. Combining multiple reports in one thread since they're all on the same topic. A. Item move by themselves after a bit If you let your base with no one in, items are going to be (badly) automatically realigned after between 5 and 10 minutes by a distance of about 1/8 of the 1/4 grid (= 1/32). Seems to be a modulo, one may be fine, other will have 1/8 unit offset, the next one 2/8 (=1/4) and so on, so it more or less resynchronize after 8 steps. It's more annoying on the vertical axis when items put on a table suddenly go below it for no apparent reason. I am still unsure about what triggers it. My first hypothesis was the use - even a single one - of pixel-aligned items (with grid disabled). Probably wrong. The one i'm working on has none of these and still bugs. Nowadays i'm thinking about the use of non-default attachment (floor, ceiling, ...). But can just one item mess up the whole thing ? It's going to drive me nuts, i won't redo this keyboard a 4th time. Sorry little organ, you're going to stay distorted ! ðŸĪŠ Local time: is 00:04, outdoor temperature 19°C. Please fasten your seatbelt and keep it until complete landing. Pretty neat, heh ? Then i log off, switch to an alt, and come back less then 10 minutes later (00:12) and this is what i find. Huh... ? B. FPS when moving or dropping items gets completely destroyed the more item you put in. This one is going to be easier to explain. Simply put: the more items (per room) you go with, the slower is the edit. ... Except if you have a dummy room - most likely the entrance in my case - selected and you *only* place items in. As soon as you want to select something, rotate stuff and what not it gets super laggy. I tried to lower graphic settings to min but it barely do anything. I'm aware "lag" has fuzzy meaning so here's a comparison chart: Non-combat FPS: 25-60 (Pocket D light beams hate me) Room with <= 300 items: null to barely perceptible lag (it take me 21*21 = 441 wood floors to create an "off bounds" constructible surface) Room with about 1000 to 2000 items: heavy but manageable Room with 6k+: FPS is below 1 Room with 9k+: mouse clicks don't react more than one per 4 attempts. Patience, you need to learn. (I don't want to try to picture 20k items, but maybe i'll reach that point some day !) Whatever it is trying to calculate on every frame it seems it is rendering everything, even -and especially- what is outside of the field of view. I'm no expert, but maybe if the floor tile was not auto-selected when editing an item, it could stay fast and reliable on a dummy room. To hell with room stats. Animated items and especially water surfaces seem to make it worse, quicker. Anyone knows tricks, tips, anything that can improve it ? I'm all ears. I love creating stuff 🙂 Feel free to ask for passcodes, i don't want to turn this into advertising my stuff, that is highly WIP anyway 😛 (Thanks for reading this wall of text)

  23. Hello Huh........ Remind me why you'd need to do that ? There is an actually much easier way, and safer. First, use /buildsavefile instead so you can name the output file (somename.txt, don't put the file name here) Then in Mids use the regular File > Open command. If your file doesn't show up there use either the *.txt or *.mxd build . Absolutely do NOT rename a txt to mxd and vice versa. The build formats are not the same and the parser will first rely on the extension to know what to do of it. If you notice any import error, please submit a bug report on the discord oe here.
  24. I'm adding to this on some surfaces /powexec_location target keep saying you're off range of your target even when it literally touches you. The fun fact is, not all powers act the same. Like, Doms' Epic Sleet works fine but not Earthquake, or Corrs' Tornado. By head, a few i know for sure which have this behavior: ITF final mission towers, CoP floor inside the "tower" (or whatever this building is). Also, using /powexec_location self with the ouro portal right next to the Grandville helicopter (the one for missions, not the black line transport) will be a guaranteed spawn under the floor.
  25. Hello With some costume combinations, when you turn off the SG emblem in the SG settings, it shows up a large white piece instead. (Is that a giant sheriff shield insigna ? 😛) Shown on this capture: Female model, Chest type Tights, Bodysuit Armored chest piece with decor, no chest detail piece. It does not affect world render though, only the model in the preview.
