What does your "macro toolkit" for new characters look like?
Ironblade replied to UltraAlt's topic in General Discussion
And you can use all of this information together by creating a long command that will attempt to access a whole list of bases - for each server I play on - and only the correct one will function. It would look like this: f3 "enterbasefrompasscode VF-5738$$enterbasefrompasscode COSMICTRANSPORT-6608$$enterbasefrompasscode Enclave-687$$enterbasefrompasscode TORCHCS-5949" -
Needs more rhyme. How about - If you're not dying, you're not trying.

You know you can turn most of those effects off in the costume creator, right? There's only one bio armor where you can't suppress the effects and it's only on you during the click animation anyway (Ablative Carapace, I think?).

We sent them to a nice farm in upstate New York. They'll be happy there.

'Full' varies from one character to the next. My level 6 MM has 105 slots. My main has 200.

Homecoming player count: a year in review
Ironblade replied to macskull's topic in General Discussion
Easy enough to check in the opposite direction. I have Ironblade on every shard. I just logged in and my ping was 240 on Reunion and 130 on Torchbearer. I'm in the northeast U.S. Having said that, I've gotten Ironblade to incarnate levels on Reunion and never noticed any performance issues. -
Garbage. Browse the auction house until you find sets where there are hundreds and hundreds for sale and hardly anyone buying. Typical suspects are sleep, slow, confuse. I buy hundreds of yellow recipes. I can get them for a few thousands and the salvage to craft them costs maybe 1800 inf. Convert outside the set for one converter, until you get either something valuable (for example, Karma -KNB is a yellow item) or end up in a valuable category (defense, resist, range damage) then convert within the category. This works for me since I'm not targeting any niche. I'm playing converter roulette until something good comes up. P.S. I still work for converters, per my previous post, despite having over 40,000 stockpiled. When my main starts to approach the cap (10,000 on one character - I do a lot of task forces and hami raids), I spend 1,000 on converters and give them to a marketing character. I still work the market, despite having almost 10 billion inf, because I find it entertaining in small doses.

Signature Story arcs, but you need multiple characters. Each part of the arcs allows you one free pick of 4x merits at the end - ONCE - then it has a one week timer before you can pick that reward again. The normal reward is 5 merits so the 4x reward is 20. And when I say it allows one 'free' pick, it works like this. If you run the arc on a character that has never run it, you can take the 4x reward. You can then run it IMMEDIATELY on the same character and take that reward again - THEN you have the one week timer FOR THAT CHARACTER. My scrappers and stalkers can run part 1 of arc 1 in under 6-1/2 minutes for 20 merits. My slower characters (tanks, controllers, defenders) take 8-11 minutes. So we're talking 60 merits in under half an hour - under 20 minutes if you're actually trying. Whenever I run an arc, I log the time in a spreadsheet so I can see when that character is eligible to run it again. Also worth mentioning, one of the reward choices in 10 threads (if you're eligible to earn threads). Each reward option has a separate timer so you can take the 4x merits and run it immediately to take the 10 threads. So, with 44 characters above level 10, I can run the arc as often as I can stand. 🙂 Another option - hear me out - is the Dr Quaterfield task force under certain conditions. Notably, it is EASY to solo. Normally, it gives 122 merits. When it is the weekly, it gives 244. I have 3 accounts. I log in all three to start, solo it on my main, then log in all three accounts for the final mission and get 3 x 244 = 732 merits. I'm leisurely about it and take a lunch break so it takes me 4-5 hours. If I actually used the other accounts, who have all the mission transporters, team transporters, etc, I could reduce that time dramatically.

Homecoming player count: a year in review

Wake up, people! The internet is becoming self-aware and those periods are when it got distracted by cat videos! -
psh, you name it. I made a joke character named Toggle Man based on a piece someone wrote on the old forums. He runs 17 toggles in combat, four of which inflict damage. His only other attacks are Lunge, Boxing and Jump Kick. He's fully tier 4 incarnate at this point. On the other hand, I asked around to find out the best AT and powersets for advanced difficulty runs of ITF and Aeon and went with ice/cold corr. He's also fully tier 4. Bargain basement build? An invuln tank for under 30 million inf who has over 350% regen. A build based on just a name? Sure. Lord Footloose - soldier of Arachnos wearing a white suit and always dancing. Fidgety Girl - barista caught in explosion of an experimental espresso machine. Taiga Tigress - were-smilodon with ice attacks. Every one of them has Task Force Commander from doing the signature task forces. I run the weeklies anywhere from 1 to 12 or more times per week (depending on which it is).

I would recommend doing the tutorial once. I did it when it first came out and it's pretty clear. And you generally learn better by DOING, than by reading.

I have it set that way on every character. I can't be bothered with an extra pop-up. What's the worst that can happen? I die in a game? Big deal. Also, it hasn't happened yet. As for when I use it, two situations: 1) I'm leading. 2) Requested by or pre-arranged with the leader.

The beautiful Aeon Strike Force and it's tragic failure
Ironblade replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
You only need to run at the 1-star level for the badges. One star really isn't much of a step up in difficulty. And I see people running the Aeon SF a lot since you can get many more Aether at the 4-star level by running the optional Vanguard battle. I've been on a few of these with two of my corrs. -

24,300 and something the last time I checked (last week).

Cricket bats.

Rather than answer your question, let me ask - why would you want trillions of inf? What would you do with it?
-
Yes, yes, yes. In an inherent like Health, it's proccing constantly. In your situation, it will proc each time and renew the duration.

How about if we change one letter and make it a PLAGUE in the Hive? We could call it Dragon Pox, in honor of Veracor.

Saw this in the patch notes for today: The Council Supersoldier and Little League have had their power toolkit updated to work FOR them instead of against them. Little League also has unlocked his Line Drive, a ranged baseball throw for pesky flying supers. What arc or mission is Little League in? I don't recall seeing them.

Good News. New Players. Bad news. Teams suck.
Ironblade replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
Yes . . . I could log on and hide my global name and vex him by getting on his team and doing everything wrong . . . -
Then learn. The incarnate system is simpler than dealing with IO enhancements. It's far from being the hardest part of the game to figure out.

Enhancement set category disappears from a power ?
Ironblade replied to MrZork's topic in General Discussion
Not a glitch. They changed what sets the power will accept. Sorry, but you're wrong El Snarkmeister. I have the Analyze Weakness set slotted in Beta Decay RIGHT NOW. And I have a note in red text on my spreadsheet that they changed what the power accepts so I can't respec if I want to keep that set slotted. -
Very relative. Even I have multiple billions. Back on live I had tens of billions (about 60). There are players with hundreds of billions.
