That's what 'they' want you to think.

You should absolutely go on any of these, even if you have zero clue I will say that, for the incarnate trials, they will often indicate what level you need to be. Like you mentioned they wanted +3 for MoMAG. They wanted you to have all 3 incarnate level shifts for Master of Magisterium. You would also want to be level 53 for Dilemma Diabolique. But the easy ones, like BAF (Behaviour Adjustment Facility) and Lambda (Lambda Sector), you just need to be 50. The easy ones are how you get your components to level up for the harder ones. The other stuff - Sewer Trial, Barracuda, Transcendence, Dr. Quaterfeld, Eden, Recluse, Market, Ms. Lib, Sara Moore - these are NO PROBLEM AT ALL. Pretty much anyone can lead these (some easier than others). Dr Q and Sara Moore can be led by monkeys they are so easy. Also, FYI, Dr Q can be soloed - it has no AV's. On Everlasting, this stuff gets run every night. Today's schedule (posted on the Everlasting TFs Discord and global channel) for 7:30 to 10PM EST was: Master of Lord Recluse Dilemma Diabolique - all badges Keyes - all badges Lord Winter's Realm Typically, they finish with some time to spare before the 10PM Hamidon raid and someone will run casual iTrials (usually BAF and Lambda).

Necroing this post to get some feedback: What overall tactic is used on each shard and/or by each group that runs this? 1) Take Tyrant down to a specific HP percentage, then fire off everything (Ultimates, Lore pets, Destiny buffs, other inspirations, etc). 2) Fire off everything just before first engaging Tyrant. On Everlasting, we used to use method 1 and take him down to 40% HP before powering up. We now use method 2 and it seems preferable because having massive buffs before engaging results in less deaths, compared to buffing in combat.

Anyone know how to farm incarnate shards?Ironblade replied to redendermen's topic in General Discussion You can get all the common components from content (except the G'rai Matter, which you mentioned). In case anyone doesn't know this: Penumbra of Rularuu - Cathedral of Pain Dimensional Keystone - Dr. Kahn TF or Barracuda SF Ancient Nictus Fragment - Imperious TF Essence of the Incarnate - Ms. Lib TF or Lord Recluse SF

Anyone know how to farm incarnate shards?Ironblade replied to redendermen's topic in General Discussion I run the Weekly Strike Target to get a Notice of the Well and break it down. As for the option of just using threads for everything, I do a blend. Typically, I'll use shards for the T1 Alpha, threads for T2, then shards again for T3. I don't want to use all threads since I want to immediately get T3 in Lore and Destiny for the level shifts as soon as I unlock them. I generally slot Lore and Destiny before Interface and Judgement. Then, since the shards are going to keep accumulating, I end up using shards to get my T4 Alpha - if I'm actually going to bother with T4 on that character.

The links in his signature, which I believe do not show up if you are browsing the forums on a phone. I'm guessing he was referring to the one named 'Migrating Files From An Older Installation', which links to a forum thread:

A friend of mine had a d20 that repeatedly rolled badly so he smashed it with a hammer. Then he put the fragments in the pouch with the other dice - as a warning to them.

Now that ASF went live, what do you think of it?Ironblade replied to Albion's topic in General Discussion Tell me about it. This is the ONLY badge I'm still missing for Master. Every time: "Huh, it LOOKED like he was in the patch."

Problem entering AE and living to tell the taleIronblade replied to Diantane's topic in General Discussion Actually, some of the 45s sell fine. After finishing all the crafting badges, I was still approximately 5,000 sales short of the final Consignment badge. So I crafted level 45 end reduction and end mod. I would craft 3 dozen or so each day and they would always sell overnight. I priced them just a few thousand over what it cost me to craft so I wasn't losing money after accounting for buying the salvage and the consignment house's cut.

So, really, the best course is to just ignore people asking for the inf cap to be raised. (To be fair, the person who mentioned it said they were half joking.) Once you have a few billion, there's not much point in having more. As far as I can tell, it's just for the challenge of seeing how much you can accumulate. Back on live, I had gotten to 56 billion by the time the game shut down. Nowadays, I don't bother with most of the things I did to get inf. It no longer seems entertaining (to me).

What makes for a healthy game community?Ironblade replied to Glacier Peak's topic in General Discussion I would say population is the most important factor, but it needs to be a population with a significant percentage of experienced players. If the game just keeps bringing in new players who lose interest quickly all you have is a bunch of newbs trying to figure the game out. So the key to population is retention. This can come from a large amount of content, enjoyable end-game activity - anything that keeps people around.

Problem entering AE and living to tell the taleIronblade replied to Diantane's topic in General Discussion That's like saying that you're losing money when you go to the grocery store. Technically you are, but you are receiving something you perceive as valuable in exchange for your cash. Everyone who buys something on the market does so voluntarily. Well, I would say you're not really farming yet. You're still leveling. You have to make the investment in time and money to get a character ready for real farming. Having said that, you can put together a farming build really cheap. No one has to farm at +4/x8. I put together a cheap second build for my fire/fire brute and I run at +0/x8.

Problem entering AE and living to tell the taleIronblade replied to Diantane's topic in General Discussion Sure. Base regeneration in this game will take you from 1 HP to your maximum in 4 minutes. That's without counting the Health power at all, since Health was originally not an inherent power. So you're getting the benefit of Health, plus the enhancement in it.

Create your own. I took 37 characters to level 50 back on live and 16 (so far) on Homecoming. Not once did I use someone else's build.

The wrench definitely works. What might be causing a problem is that it requires a 'to hit' check. I run Tactics and Focused Accuracy and also hit Build Up before throwing it. Also, I was told (and can not verify personally), that you have to hit with the wrench AFTER the countdown starts but if you're using the grounding ray, you have to hit BEFORE the countdown starts. The only thing I can personally verify is that hitting with the wrench after the countdown starts is effective.

Overall, I agree with your point. My girlfriend and I were able to duo MoITF with less than optimal characters. No longer possible. A sad day. Actually, that would be hard. That's a math/coding limit. A long integer value can only go up to 2,147,483,647. Now, Reward and Vanguard Merits are a different story. They cut off at 10,000. That means the display can handle 5 digits and it must be stored AT LEAST as an integer value, which can go up to 32,767. So there's no good reason for it to stop at 10,000.

Can someone tell me how they made this character!:)Ironblade replied to dylliebug's topic in General Discussion

On the other hand, no other secondary effect is as entertaining as watching an enemy get blasted across the room or, even better, off a bridge or rooftop. The only thing I can think of that might compare is if we got to see the enemies explode - which isn't going to happen in a game with this ESRB rating.

Fact or fiction: Only 10% of the player base reads and posts on the forums. Fact, although the exact number is debatable. For many games it's less than 10%. For this one, I think it has always been higher, ESPECIALLY now that you are required to visit the forums to create your game account. Fact or fiction: The game is too easy. For everybody. At all levels. Only at incarnate levels. Fiction. There is so much variation in player skill and ability that no game is too easy for everyone. Fact or fiction: The new Master of TF/SF settings are good for the game. umm.... wrong question? I don't see that they're either good or bad - they just are. With the advantage of 20/20 hindsight, the Master badges should never have allowed incarnate powers. But, since we can't go back and change the past, this seems like the next-best option. P.S. For the people mentioning the Zookeeper badge, HAH! Yeah, I got it before it was reduced. I also got the final healing badge before it was reduced TWICE by a factor of TEN EACH TIME.

Firstly, let me say welcome. Secondly, if you enjoy playing the Devices set, then it was an excellent choice. Having said that, I have a dual pistols/devices which I have taken all the way to 50 and beyond, getting tier 4 in most of the incarnate powers. So it is absolutely a useful set, especially after getting some buffs. For example, 'Web Grenade' is now 'Toxic Web Grenade' and does significant damage. And, finally, no you can't change your primary or secondary power sets (or your origin). You can use a respec to change what powers you have within the set.

For the extra crafts, I did level 45 Endurance Reduction and Endurance Modification. And then I continued with those, doing a few dozen every day, in order to get the badge for selling 7,000 items on the consignment house.

I've been told that you need to use the wrench AFTER his countdown starts but the grounding ray BEFORE the countdown starts. Is this correct? (I have this badge but want to understand how the mechanics work.)
