  1. The one who said they were working was Slashbug, one of the PuGs we picked up. 🙂
  2. Ha! I like how you caught my battle cry in one of your screenshots! 😂I had thought we were doing an all dark theme next week, but I'm game for either dark or fire. 🙂 I didn't get too many pics since I was having kid troubles and on a brute so I was more focused on smashing faces than grabbing pics. xD There was a brief, but glorious moment where I was a fiery shit! Dung-Beetle now desires a Thermal Radiation friend to keep her a flaming pile of poo. 😆 You guys are a ton of fun to play with, thank you for letting me join in on these! Dung-Beetle is so much fun I might have to make her on Everlasting too; or have her swap back and forth between servers.
  3. New character I rolled up whose concept I'm quite happy with and am having fun with her so far. Meet The Dung-Beetle, a Stone/Bio Brute.
  4. Nothing against my mosquito, but I have been playing so many ranged characters lately that I really wanted to punch stuff in the face, so I rolled up The Dung-Beetle, a Stone/Bio Brute.
  5. Even if you don't team, you should take Howling Twilight because it provides a rather hefty -regen debuff and stuns the enemies around you. It's a power worth taking and using even if you're not rezzing other players.
  6. I don't think either @Sir Myshkin or myself are advocating to have the set balanced around how it performs with procs. I tagged him for his input because I remembered seeing he had done some work with it regarding procs as part of the proc adventures he's been doing for the different AT's and wanted to see his thoughts on it. You took one small part of his post and then took it out of context. Yes, Energy Melee needs some love and some changes, but with everyone crying about how awful it is, I asked for Myshkin's perspective because his work showed that if Energy Melee is really something you want to play in the current meta, that you can, and that it won't be awful if you proc it right.
  7. Yeah, your work with it has me considering rolling one when I can stop fueling my altoholism so much and actually save up the inf I would need to build it. 😛 I've always liked the way Energy Melee looks, but was sad to see how many people say to just skip it. Which is why I figured I would tag you since I knew you had done some work with it that gave it some positive results.
  8. @Sir Myshkin weren't you working on something with energy melee in your tank proc monsters thread? I realize that procs aren't a desirable way to go just to make energy melee decent, but I had thought Myshkin had found some proc opportunities to make it so that EM doesn't just totally suck. Just thought I'd mention this as I haven't played EM since... Idk, a long ass time ago, and not long enough to remember it pre-nerf and post-nerf. But the suggestions most people have to help it out seem really reasonable so that it doesn't have to be procced out just to be decent/good.
  9. Howdy fellow CoX gamers! You may have seen me dipping around these forums lately, or even in game, and now, I need your help with something more related to real life! 😛 If you have daughters, especially young ones, please help me out with a school project I'm doing by filling out my survey! It's only a whopping 3 questions, so shouldn't take too much time away from your gaming! 😄 https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe2UmTfIMbaHmQ50Ec_FNFeSPwNilos4GiI9T5BqPp0McK-zg/viewform
  10. Hehe, I was debating about changing mine to something more tanky, or a melee dps since we have a lot of support xD I know this game doesn't need the holy trinity, but it's hard breaking the habit of thinking, man we could really use a meatshield. 😅
  11. If you want an example of this done poorly, just take a look at the poor female worgen in World of Warcraft and watch them go through some of their animations. And they've left them in this broken state (as far as I know) since they came out with the race, despite the community repeatedly saying how horrible the model is, even during beta testing.
  12. Enjoy your visit!
  13. This conversation with you has me excited to roll a dark/EA, lol. I love my elec/EA as well, but the dark/EA seems like it might be a whole different type of fun and maybe more solo friendly.
  14. Yeah, I do understand the chaining mechanic, but totally didn't think all the way through about the pet that's going to benefit from the buffs on the controller version, so thank you for that. 🙂 Your point makes a lot of sense thinking about it like that. I mean, I can only assume they added the Sentinel to help give you a way to benefit from your chains while soloing (especially on like, the defender version of the set), but you're right--much like you want to chain on your teammates to help them when possible, chaining through a pet that will actually benefit from the buffs of your chains makes the most sense vs. the Sentinel.
  15. While true, not everything is always about the game at the "end." 😛 Or level 32 in this case. While getting there you'll likely need to bounce things off the Galvanic Sentinel and maybe have some sort of bind/macro for resummoning it? Sorry, I'm not so good with that sort of stuff and is definitely where I defer to you all. But I definitely see why, once you get the wolf, you'd want to bounce chains through it first so as not to have to worry about whether or not Sentinel is still summoned.
  16. If you like a fast playstyle, beasts are a good pairing for /kin as kin likes to be in melee anyway, and the beasts are pretty tanky on their own. Transfusion does need a to-hit check, but it's a pretty powerful heal you can get off to top off your pets, especially if you're directing them to your target where you're going to fire off the heal. Nature is the most obvious and thematic pairing and sure to do well with its various heals, absorbs, and debuffs. Thermal sounds like an interesting pair with beasts that I think I'm going to try at some point. 😛
  17. /EA has the Galvanic Sentinel to bounce your chains off of (MM version is only version that lacks it since they have consistent/reliable pets to bounce chains from). But Dark/EA sounds like an interesting pairing I may have to try out.
  18. Man it's nice to see you do this for MM primaries! I read a lot about how terrible beasts are, but they don't *feel* terrible when you play them in game, even when you have to drop the crits to shield them with Fortify Pack. Thank you for this; I realize that it's just a sort of base look at pet performance w/ little imput from the MM and the other factors you mentioned, but it's still nice to see how just the pets compare to one another.
  19. Go to Options -> Controls -> Camera Shake and change it from enable to disable. Should solve your problem. We have to remind people to do this during MSR's to help with lag/disconnect issues. 😛 Apologies; I didn't read through the thread before replying to see someone had beat me to it.
  20. My avatar there is Polly Shockit, my Elec/EA troller. I know Elec/* is considered kinda low damage compared to some other troller primaries, but it fit my theme and I team a lot, so I'm not too troubled by that as the character has been generally well-liked in teams. My recent SBB group really loved her because with minimal effort (as in, I'm not slotted for sapping), I had the AV's completely drained of end; sure, we still had to take the alpha and some attacks while they got drained, but it kept us from being completely overwhelmed and gave time to patch up. Not that sapping is necessarily my goal with her. Anyway, point being, I find Elec/EA go well together if you're not planning to do a lot of solo work. I love the utility that Polly brings to a team comp, and that between the two sets, I'm not totally struggling with end (/EA can be kind of heavy on your end, and even though it has a power that returns end, you can never be the first person in the chain to get the biggest benefit, and it costs a crapload of end to cast).
  21. A few of my recent additions: Howling Shadow; Dark/Sonic Defender The Botanical Pathogen; Plant/Poison Controller Force Shifter; Beam/Force Field Corruptor Freesia Dark; Dark/Dark Dominator The Human Mosquito; Water (colored to look like blood)/Sonic (from the sound they make buzzing around) Corruptor. Thinking of picking up the Experimentation pool as a play on the "diseases" aspect of mosquitoes since I didn't want to go Poison. This character is currently on Indom, but if I like her enough, I may do the concept over on Everlasting too to RP with.
  22. Wow, Cerulean-Scarab and Fire Bee look amazing! Here's Human Mosquito:
  23. Eeeee, @Midnyte I love the pics you captured! Nice to see other views of our complete chaos. 😄
  24. Apologies these aren't more prettified, I was trying to grab some screenies from the chaos that was our all MM Numina. All that pet madness was an absolute blast, and I'm glad I was able to tag along and be apart of the group. 🙂 I think my favorite is the pic I caught of the TT coming in to pick up 8 MM's and 48 pets. 😆 For next week's themed TF I (@Valnara1) will be bringing The Human Mosquito, Water/Sonic Corruptor
