Post your best costume designs here!
TygerDarkstorm replied to ChanelNo2's topic in Art & Multimedia
Pretty in love with my Warshade, Elfvira's, new outfit I made her. Since her first costume slot is her Elvira look-a-like slot, I wanted to do something that maybe has a similar feel, but is a little more unique. Got a compliment on it almost right after finishing it, so that was nice! -
I'm good either way, @Christopher Robin! I just have so much fun doing these and look forward to seeing the colors and theme for each week 😄 I am loving the theme/colors for this week and look forward to seeing what I can come up with Thank you CR for hosting these and putting your time and effort into creating the themes, colors, and prize art. 🙂

I'm fairly certain it's only 1 entry per person.

I will go back and edit my other post, but thanks to @Icanav, I rethought my approach to making a Major's costume, and came up with a concept that I like. I just imagine her carrying the hat tucked under her arm the way military officers will when indoors. So, here is Major Ursa Minor in her proper formal wear. And thank you again, @Icanav for keeping me from just needlessly writing off the possibility to get the character the way I originally thought she should look like. 🙂 UrsaMinor2.costume

You were fine. I wasn't upset, just not sure that you had really read and understood what I was saying. Regardless, I did say I would think about it and see about doing an alternate look that takes your suggestion into account to see if I can't still achieve my original thought. 😉

That's why I said I attribute it to differences between servers. I have done the MSR's on Indom as well; both before they were instanced and after. I mentioned Everlasting simply because ours are advertised for all levels to join, which the poster I responded to claimed that lowbies join MSR's thinking they don't negatively impact the raid. I only brought it up because not every server/person who runs MSR's thinks that.

Sorry, that's kind of what I mean. I like Mack's idea because I agree, it's bad design that some pets perform better damage without being given their upgrades. I also would prefer that pet upgrades not be downgrades.
-
Yes, but the main idea of the character is that Ursa Minor is a constellation that's a bear; so the main point of that sentence is actually the part that you cut out, that I can't attach bear ears to the hat. 😛 I could do everything sans the hat, but military formal wear typically includes the hat. I could try an alt costume that still works with the theme.
-
Aw, thank you! For whatever reason, that name is what came to mind with this theme and I decided to try and roll with it. There's some limitations with the costume creator in that I couldn't get a proper sort of formal military attire since I can't put the bear ears on the military hats. 😞 So I figured ex-Major in this case gone rogue mercenary. Anyway, glad I could inspire! Goodness knows the creativity round here keeps me inspired. 😄

This would be a neat work around for the current method of upgrading some tiers of pets over others.

Ignore this please.

Mercs/Nature: CDF Assassins With a Side of Choom-Boom
TygerDarkstorm replied to Decaying Rose's topic in Mastermind
These can't individually control each pet, but they are a pretty good set of binds for controlling each Tier of pets. I don't have any macros, unfortunately, but I know you can find some by searching the forums or Google.- 9 replies

I'll be there on Lola Huntress, my Night Widow

Because the dev response to auto upgrades is answered directly on the first page of this thread. It is not happening and is beating a dead horse.

This must be at least somewhat server dependent regarding zone MSR's. On Everlasting they're typically hosted by Chaos United and are intentionally advertised as a means for lowbies to join to grind experience. We generally seem to end up with plenty of high level people to smash through the MSR regardless. Don't get me wrong, I see where you're coming from. The MSR thing just threw me off, but I'll attribute that to differences between servers. My limited, anecdotal experience also has not resulted in too many instances like the OP's, so I guess I have been lucky. Speed runs generally seem to get advertised as such, and since I don't like those, I don't sign up for them. Most of the TF's/SF's I run don't seem to go much past +2, and usually the lead asks if we're ok with that or the group as a whole asks to ramp it up a bit because we're just slamming through the content. And no, that's not me saying stuff like what has happened with the OP never happens; I am sure that it does. I guess I have just gotten lucky.

Many congratulations to @Icanav!! I am beyond excited to see that my Nebula Storm made top 5! These contests have been a fun way to try and push my creativity, and her costume is one of my favorites I've made and is now her main costume. 😁 This week's colors and theme look interesting. I will have to see what I can do when I have a good chance to sit down with the creator. 🙂 Thanks for hosting these @Christopher Robin!

I've become rather fond of my ElecMelee/Dark Armor brute. To help with running the toggles, I'm trying to keep her at least somewhat slotted, but I have been pleasantly surprised just how much fun she is to play. My fire/dark troller is quite a bit of fun as well; it can be played rather aggressively once you get it slotted up.

General Feedback: Issue 27, Page 2
TygerDarkstorm replied to Arcanum's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Pistols are still bugged to my knowledge as well, mostly with the thugs MM powerset. -
I haven't played MM's much at high/max level content (think I only have 1 at level 50 and haven't done much with her), but I think this is one of the biggest issues I would like to see addressed with MM's. The beta changes are a nice way to handle resummoning pets, so I appreciate what the devs did in that regard. But this is one of the more pressing issues with the AT I've been referring to. Our pets are our damage, but it feels like we face a pretty harsh penalty to try and play at the upper levels of content, especially once level shifts occur. I don't understand the mechanics and such the way some of you do to make proper suggestions, so I have no real idea on how to fix the issue. I just hope that something can be done and hopefully will be looked at in the future, that will also keep the AT balanced for lower level content.

Necro/Electric It's alive, IT'S ALIVE!!!
TygerDarkstorm replied to The_Warpact's topic in Mastermind
Right, which confirms what @Crysis is saying; that 22% chance only hits that number on the first target in the chain, every pet or person after that gets a diminished effect, just like almost all of ElecAff's powers. -
Exactly. I am not quite sure why this keeps getting ignored. It will not be happening and this is not the the suggestions and feedback forum. It would be lovely to see it dropped and perhaps other MM discussion take place.
-
I had it happen to me constantly throughout an ITF because I was playing more aggressively than my slotting allowed for. And I am not a heavy user of Howling Twilight outside of needing to rez people/bosses, EB's, etc.
-
That's kind of why I went DP/Ninja on my blaster. 😄
-
I wonder if this was what was happening when I was in an ITF on my fire/dark troller. There would be moments where I would die then immediately come back to life, even my other teammates didn't understand why it was happening, and they couldn't get a rez off before I came back. Never had it on another of my characters, just this one. Turned into running jokes about me being Jesus or something, lol. I can't remember if I was using Twilight Grasp at those moments though, been a while.

3 pages later and this is still being ignored. Pet upgrades WILL NOT be getting made auto, so let's stop the pointless back and forth. MM's are the only AT that gets to deal ~90% of its damage passively, devoting the majority of their time to their secondary and possibly managing your pets. The changes the devs have provided in regards to reduced cooldowns, animation times, and endurance costs for the summoning and upgrade powers is fantastic and I welcome them. I then hope that, in the future, time and effort may get devoted to fixing the actual issues the AT has, and not this silly debate over auto-upgrade powers.
