elec, fire, or plant are hands down winners for mixed response control on a dom. Earth is, well, earthy. There isnt a lot in earth that helps you kill faster. Fire, plant, and elec all have things built in to accelerate kill rate. edit: i forgot about dark control, which is just amazing on a dom

Fold space + perma soul drain on a fender, tank, brute

A "Hero" walking around with a bazooka, or tommy gun, or nuclear reactor strapped to their back is DEFINITELY going to be registered SOMEWHERE with regards to life and limb regulations. You don't get a free pass to carry around an m16 just because some time years ago you served in an armed forces group. The restrictions and means of indexing and managing who has what are definitely going to be in place. You definitely don't get a free pass on blowing buildings up either. It seems reasonable that for a given amount of looking the other way, you would be expected to execute on requests from government associated with where you live.

OMG that is hilarious! I luv it!

I have yet to enter from the roof... Got to try that.

Thought so. Integration into Morality is a fantastic addition this brought to the table I feel.

I have played a LOT of doms over the years, but I have never played grav control, or with ice assault. I took grav for wormhole, and want to take fold space as well. /psy would have been better for sure with fold space/wormhole, but I am hoping I can get things wiggling with the -rech and flee portion of ice aura. How would you guys build this? I want to avoid purples as much as possible, but have a LOT of winteros to help build out defense (go winter event!)

The land of milk and honey, where every grind is fun, and no grind is tedious.

Oh, @Myrmidoncorrect me if i am wrong or not, but doesnt this arc Give Rogue or Vig or Hero alignment points based on circumstances of completion?!?! I believe that yes, it does actually affect your alignment. Correct me if I am wrong.

@Orange DragonDumb question. Were you running at 0/1? You know, the expected difficulty for someone running solo, and not trying to slotallthethingsandbeaminigod? For me, blowing all of your inspirations on a cataclysmic fight between you and the notyou is _how this is supposed to work_. Not using inspirations, temps, whathaveyou and STILL churning through content is kind of the antithesis of what I feel this game is all about. Generally we live in this bubble of certainty, where any risk or chance of death is obliterated to the point where there ultimately IS NO risk... I blame a lot of this on set ios. They will never go away. There are a LOT of ways watkins can interact with you, depending on what you do, when, and how. Generally he is always a jerk, but he has lots of variations of jerk you can get. It isn't a one time deal. Running the arc several times is the only way to see all the different possible content/responses he has to offer. The first time I ran this arc, I did it with a total grab bag of people below 20, around 20, and some in their 30s. No incarnates, no 50s. We blew through it, died a bunch, killed a bunch, and had a blast. We did not have preconceived notions about what the content should be, or look like, other than it would NOT be Issue 1 content. Having run all of the Going Rogue content (much of which comes with painful difficulty tags... lots of scars and humiliated incarnates), I can say that these two arcs are right in line with where the game was headed at shutdown. This arc ranks for me equal to (with some better, some worse bits) to all that content from GR (6, Marchand, et al). It matches what I expect when I play a SSA, be it either WWD, or Pandoras Box. The rewards are pretty nice, it has cool badges. Always Winning is Not Winning At All. (personal motto) You NEVER get a real feeling of any accomplishment if you know going in it will 100% end in your favor with minimal pain. The 'Cuda mish in Marchand's arc is a great example of steamrolling till you hit a brick wall at 80 mph. In fact, all of the GR arcs have elements that will stomp you into a mudhole. Going for avatar smasher? Better hope your team is diverse and well balanced!

For me, great TFs have always had some cool or wow factor. The one in the volcano in Cap The one with the volcano monster in Cap Miss Lib ITF (im soooooooo tired of it though) Lady Grey and its hami Market Crash fight at the end is pretty unique, and the guaranteed purp for first run is amazing Most, if not all, of the SSA tfs (skipping spoilers) Apex/TM can be run as a combo, has great rewards, and is (usually) really fun on a tight time budget Penny cause you can speed or kill or whatever and you get the same level of fun LRTF The final DA tf (and its accompanying story arcs, all of which are nice and fun and rewarding with good difficulty and good rewards) For me, I think the SSAs are a good blueprint Story arcs that have badassery for me are all the GR content. #6, Marchand, the chick that runs you through Nightward mishs. Building new TFs to use those kind of ideas/content would be great. I think #6 is THE BEST story arc I have ever run. Revamps ---- I would gut Citadel. Puke. Everything in it is vanilla. The bosses are vanilla, the maps are extensively reused and vanilla, the dialog is vanilla. It is so vanilla, you could use this TF as pudding and nobody would notice. The one with M Bison (kahn). Potential to be cool? But really, m bison is just a bag of hitpoints and very boring to fight. Maps are also vanilla vanilla vanilla. Suggestions --- Any TF that has a preponderance of STANDARD MISH MAPS should be redone. Why should I do a standard council base map that I end up doing as part of radio/tip mish #91823123123445121??? Make the damn things more unique! You know a cool set of maps? The last taskforce for both WWD and Pandoras box. Those are nifty and outside the box. Floating aircraft carriers and a space map? One that is unique from the farm map? Hells yes! -
Weekly Discussion 82: Let's Vote! (Extended over the holidays)

I voted to get kinmelee an once-over, but think yeah, maybe I should have picked TFs. The new TF market crash is pretty great, can be run in a variety of ways, rewards pretty well. Same with Penny (which is "new" only in a broad definition of the word). I would like to see more Penny/DAallthethings/Marketcrash/Tinpex (I like apex/tm combo better, but i guess tinpex is shorter to type....). I really liked the blue side new hero arc. It is a little long to run as a TF possibly, but that level of interesting cool would be great to see in a new TF. For me, TF gaps are 30-35, 20-25, 15-20. A bunch of TFs in these ranges are VERY LONG, and for someone with limited time, this automatically rules out my participation. Penny, MC speed, ITF speed, Tinpex (crap shoot on this one as to if it goes fast or not) all fit into a great sweet spot of 30ish min or less, give or take 5-10 min on either side. New TF or updated TF content that hits this would be amazing. Also... the SSA run as "tf light" are GREAT as well. 30 min or left generally speaking, not run very often, good rewards for once a week through. Lots of fun! -
fire/dark/mu fences/teleport pool - the pumpkin queen (character designed by my daughter, who I affectionally call punkin')
-
I havent seen this, even when running the new blue side rave mish on the new arc (which ha(d/s) an immense mob count per square footage (new calculation? mcsf^2?)), and I only have 8 gigs of ram and a fairly old graphics card. Have you looked at your process table when this occurs? It may not even be coh at all, but something else running on your system.

Diversifying my roster with 10 alts, pt. 1

I would absolutely recommend against skipping acid arrow! It is all sorts of madness, and be proc'd to do even more madness! Dont skip! -
So sometimes I post builds, and they are long and messy. I see other people have this "hidden, click here to unhide" thing, and I would like to know how to do this, so my forum posts are less messy. Thank you!

edit: ok, maybe intuition radial paragon...

A few things. Disruption arrow has the chance to stun proc and the +run synapse proc. I might swap the run proc, since I use combat teleport to position _extensively_ for positioning, and cheese transit with sprint and/or beast run. Both teleports (tt, ct) take travel, so I slotted them with -kb procs. I might actually pull the one in combat teleport (the later power) and replace it with an end/range. I find that I do need softcap, from experience on +4 teams, and solo at +2. You pump out so much debuf (-7.71 tohit from flasharrow, tons of +tohit procs, placate (yes, it REALLY works!!), -rech all over the place) that even if you eat some of an alpha, it isnt too bad to recover from. There are no alphas slotted, but I will probably go with (gasp, big surprise) agility. The other teleport power is teleport target. Shoved id in a hidden box so not so messy 😄 (I JUST learned about hidden!!)
-
br/sonic does this as well. the push power + your t2 blast (which has kb in it).
-
so, i dont know offhand cast time on nova, but... ct target, nuke/alpha, ct back 30 feet, cone?
-
I dont like t9s that come with some sort of crash, and generally never take them as a result. Those without are much more likely to be taken.
-
Pvp io procs e.g. shield wall, panacea. Res/def + kb procs from steadfast, reactive sliding resistance, karma +tohit, miracle, numina, perf shift +end (and interestingly the +heal endmod as well). There are LOTS of "unique" on the market that have massively outsize benefits that are, arguably, much better than lotg +rech, depending on your build, and worth much more than a lotg +rech. So to be clear "It is not warping the market because of its uniqueness".
-
It is an item that can be gotten with few merits and some creativity. There is no warping. I am very positive you have collected defense set recipes. Maybe try crafting it and converting. That is even way cheaper than buying something off the ah to do it. And you get the converter fodder for free. And a once a day hit on adamastor nets you 30 converters to mess with to get it, for less than 2 minutes time investment.
-
Yeah, people really do list things for 1 inf sometimes.
