It shall remain so in perpetuity, observed annually, unless one of the following two conditions are met. 1. Jimmy makes a post before June 1st 2022. In this case, @JimmyDay shall be cancelled and annual observance will be dissolved. 2. Jimmy makes a post after June 1st 2022. In this case, @JimmyDay shall be observed annually on June 1st until afore mentioned post is made. Should the post be made, that date shall be marked as @JimmyReturns Day and shall be celebrated on the day of and 1 year after the return. @JimmyReturns Day shall only be observed upon creation and on its first anniversary and @JimmyDay observance shall be dissolved with the creation of @JimmyReturns Day. Addendum A: If Jimmy knifes this, or any other post in this thread, it will be deemed that condition 2 was satisfied. Other reaction only activity will not satisfy condition 2 above.

  6. No, positional resistances wouldnt be available to players as a stat that gets increased and the vast majority of mobs would have 0% for their positional resistances so they remain unchanged. Some existing mobs might get a bit of positional resistances in place of AI upgrades, my earlier example was sky raiders shield generator getting some AoE resist. A flat HP increase makes them more durable across the board but 30% AoE resist lets them last longer if they arent being targeted and fall quickly if they are focused. The shield generator could even have negative positional resistance for melee and ranged so it gets hit even harder by single target attacks. Future AV battles are where this would be most useful to help in creating interesting fights.
  7. If crystals were an option for having on your own missions it would be great. But not on someone elses mission unless they had crystals also turned on. I would think that option should belong in the notoriety menu. Crystals are nearly extinct now, existing only in the ITF. Give us the option to revive these once great beacons that would strike fear into the hearts of leveling teams and team wipe the arrogant or unprepared.
  8. I guess since my joke was quoted, ill leave a 'real' response. I play melee all the time and sprint is more than fast enough to move between groups. I also take mystic flight but rarely use the teleport for combat purposes because sprint is fast enough. In PvE, a gap closing ability to save less than a quarter of a second is totally pointless. If we were talking pvp then the ability for a melee character to close a gap is a must. But also if you are bringing a PvE build into pvp and expect to be effective then expect to be disappointed. We get 3 builds, use them. Get u a pve build with speed, leadership, leaping, fighting. Another pve build with speed, leadership, leaping and fighting but actually take spring leap. And finally make another pve build because i dont think you plan on a pvp build based on what ive read so far and take speed, leadership, leaping and fighting and then come to the forum and ask for confront to be changed into a gap closer because we dont have access to enough pool powers....oh wait.
  9. We have plenty of time to agree before this happens because it will never happen. Maybe reset its cooldown if you are hidden and miss since the enemies arent alerted.
  10. The team seems to keep additions in house. I assume its to avoid a potential conflict where borrowed content could be claimed by the original creator. I wont rule out 100% that HC would never borrow anything but i wouldnt hold my breath either.

  12. I think weapon size is based off character size so jurassik only has a huge car on a stick because he is huge. I could be wrong though, do tiny players have huge looking titan weapons? A player appropriate size car on a stick might look goofy but i would totally use it.
  13. I guess if we played city of average people then everything should make real world sense. But we jump higher than 3 feet and run faster than 20mph all the time. There would be almost nothing left if it all made sense. From a real world perspective, no, there isnt much here to back up the suggestion. But from a hero video game perspective, i think positional resistances could offer quite a bit in content moving forward.
  14. You can use prestige powers like sands of mu and nemesis staff during the crash and they still do full damage.
  15. A theme im seeing here is mostly the newer blueside missions are being suggested. The writers got alot better as time went on and a good chunk of the older missions are very cut/paste feeling. There are good old missions and bad new missions but for the most part, the new missions are better written with more engaging objectives.

I wasnt after any real world compliance with the suggestion although i was able to oblige with some examples when necessary and acknowledged that positional resistance isnt always a thing in the real world. But i only intend this to be for non-players. Players already have the ability to become uberleetsaucepwnzorfacerollbbq undying damage machines. Enemies are only as good as their abilities and AI, and i think its safe to say their AI is generally lacking so its made up for with abilities. Enemies dont know to stand a few feet away from AoE range so instead they are hit. Yes they move away from rain type and the floor is lava type AoE but they are perfectly content to stand in tight groups or line up while the players toss them a beatdown. I see positional resistances being used very sparingly on existing enemies to give some significance to a few of the special but easily ignored and defeated enemies. What pops in my head is the sky raiders force field generators. I rarely actually attack one and just let it die to AoE. If it had some resistance to AoE, then people might be more inclined to turn and attack one with single target abilities since its about as smart as a bump on a log and just sit there to die. I think the majority of positional resistances would make sense in new and hardmode type content instead of making players relearn old enemies. A boss could summon a bunch of adds where the red ones are weak to ranged and the yellow ones are weak to melee. Either can still be defeated with the 'wrong' type of attacks but it will take longer and leave less time for attacking the boss. We also live in City of AoE so having a few targets that are intended to be defeated by single target attacks can give the stalker and scrapper something with a bit more meat on its bones to attack while the rest of the steamroll bombs everything to death. Overall, this is mostly meant for boss battles and a few regular mobs. I gave a few examples of possible boss mechanics in my original and second post but there are alot of possibilities. The team has also done a great job making interesting fights using existing mechanics so this may not be of any interest to them. But if they chose to implement it in some way then they would have even more tools for creating interesting battles in the future. edit: and keeping required mission NPCs alive until they give their clues 🙂
  17. Untouchable until rescued would probably be easier but im still hopeful for positional resistances for the potential gameplay variety it could also provide in addition to being a way to keep the NPCs alive until rescued.
  18. I encountered a bug ingame and it made me think of this suggestion again so a bit of a necro here but it could fix the bug also. On a mission there was a NPC that is required to rescue and receive a clue then later defeat the boss and finish the mission. It was a combat ally NPC and it died to enemy AoE before i even rescued them. The mission didnt fail but clearing everything didnt complete it either. Positional AoE resistance for mission NPC allies would be able to prevent them from getting killed before they are even rescued. Give them 100% AoE resistance until they are free and you get your required clue and then it could revert to 0% like normal.
  19. I take gauntlet on my tankers and use that to get to the end of the missions. If i clear it all or skip to the end just depends how much fighting i feel like doing at the moment.
  20. Im making a mission that includes some destructible objects. When the destructible objects spawn with the start of the mission there are no issues. But when they are spawned by completing another objective and the enemy guarding group is set to empty, the destructible object is an invalid target forever. When a guarding enemy group is set then the object is invalid until one of the guards enters combat, then the object becomes attackable. This allows a player to make an AE mission that doesn't throw an error so it can be uploaded but is impossible to complete.

  22. Using beast stance with with the double jump popup power from super jump results in a regular jump if you are already in the air. If you are on the ground and have double jump active then it animates a beast stance jump as normal. Only when you jump again while already in the air does it animate as a 'no stance' jump. It is the same with normal and huge body types but im unsure if it also affects the female body type. Ninja stance with double jump alternates between a ninja jump and a normal jump while double jumping. My guess is that a ninja jump doesnt animate into another ninja jump but at least it still looks ninja like while jumping. My warewolf character looks goofy in normal jump animation for the entire duration of double jump. This equally affects beast stance and beast stance(travel powers only).
