  1. Using beast stance with with the double jump popup power from super jump results in a regular jump if you are already in the air. If you are on the ground and have double jump active then it animates a beast stance jump as normal. Only when you jump again while already in the air does it animate as a 'no stance' jump. It is the same with normal and huge body types but im unsure if it also affects the female body type. Ninja stance with double jump alternates between a ninja jump and a normal jump while double jumping. My guess is that a ninja jump doesnt animate into another ninja jump but at least it still looks ninja like while jumping. My warewolf character looks goofy in normal jump animation for the entire duration of double jump. This equally affects beast stance and beast stance(travel powers only).
  2. Someone said for hami-o's to be convertible that they would also become mutually exclusive with each other. Meaning you could only ever slot 1 in a power even if they were for different stats. If i find the post ill link it but only 1 hami-o per power plus being convertible would make the prices drop to rock bottom.
  3. If the craft was in motion and you could stand on it and battle, that would be something the game doesnt have. The only in motion objects with collision dont let you stand on them, you slide off. That would make it possible to climb aboard and break their stuff before reaching the endpoint. But i imagine that moving platforms dont exist after 18 years for a reason. A giant mole machine could surface through the water and remain stationary and after smashing the outer defenses, a door allows access to the inside for the rest of the event. Probably should have the small mole machines in the regular invasion, even if its just as decoration.
  4. I wouldnt go with hp drain all the time. But i would go with the t7 adding that effect. It could be a click or a toggle but the values would be slightly different depending on which made the cut. Click - duration 60 seconds, cooldown 120 seconds. Henchmen -1% hp/sec, +0.5% hp on hit, +to-hit, +damage, +defense Toggle - cooldown 30 seconds. Henchmen -1% hp/sec for 20 seconds and increasing by 1% for each 20 seconds the toggle is left on, +1% hp on hit(unresistable), +to-hit, +damage, +defense. 20% resistance to healing that increases by 20% for each 20 seconds the power is left on. The click version is meant for henchmen to only slowly lose hp but not die since many secondaries dont heal and soloing would be awful. The toggle version would have values for to-hit, damage and defense increase the longer the power is left on but drain the henchmen faster over time as well. Eventually you would need to turn it off or the henchmen will die. Their lifesteal attack will still heal but outside healing will slowly become less effective and they will drain hp faster and faster. Its meant to make the toggle a choice and not something that is just mindlessly left on all the time. I think it would fit with the theme and give a way for the henchmen to not die in periods of no combat. Edit: Im also not a number cruncher, so the numbers above are just to give a feel for how the power could work and would need actual balance adjusting.
  5. But who says the next GM has to be just another GM. Maybe it has new battle mechanics. Maybe it has some long animating attacks that you have to move out of the beaten zone or suffer a big hit. Maybe it hits the furthest target with a mark and if someone else doesnt move to be the furthest then taking a second mark will kill you. Maybe it has 99% resistance but hitting it a bunch of times spawns a enemy that gives -resistance to all player attacks for the next 15 seconds to anyone within 20 feet of the defeated enemy. There are ways for new GMs to be something other then just sacks of HP. Plenty of players do read the stories but plenty of them dont as well so not all new content should be required to have a story arc or taskforce. I think we have a trial, a SF, and a few story arcs from Homecoming so far but no new overworld GMs. There was the mapserver GM but that was jokemode for april fools, fun but not an actual year round addition. Not that either route should be required as the next addition but if it were 'just another GM', i think it would be fine since its been mostly new missions where new content has been concerned. New missions are great, im not against them at all. But sometimes its nice to just have a new monster to whomp on as well.
  6. You can save and load costumes 1 at a time already at the tailor but it doesnt change body type if im remembering correctly. Maybe body type loads if you are at the surgeon, im not sure. Im guessing some sort of batch load is what you are after. There are still inf charges associated with loading costumes so it may not be that easy to have batch loading. Perhaps being able to better sort costumes on the load screen or maybe if naming it with [character name][costume slot] could load to that slot and charge you without having to leave the load screen. Then it would speed up loading multiple costumes considerably.
  7. You are probably after /editbase 1 Take a look here for more stuff
  8. On the reverse side, there are people that dont read the missions or follow the lore. Story arcs are just pre arranged small hp bags that sometimes end with a large hp bag. I would prefer it to be player triggered instead of random though. Like if you finish all the arcs in atlas then one of the AVs hits the zone in retaliation.
  9. Ok i looked at your screenshot closer to figure out what you meant. So you have HP bars turned on all the time but player names off and you look in your field of view at the health bars to see if someone needs a heal? Thats totally fine if thats how you want to do it but im gonna have to go with EmperorSteele and just use the league window to target people for healing. That overwatch view does help with knowing that someone will be in range when you click them but the faster reaction speed through the league window probably makes up for having to press 'f' if they were out of range. Im not opposed to being able to turn the names off though for screen clutter reasons. Let us turn off green heal numbers too, holy crap they are some real spam when a league is fighting.
  10. Regen set bonuses really are pretty tiny. But alot of them are 2 piece bonuses so they probably cant be all that big. I have a willpower brute that isnt quite finished but will have something like 170 hp/sec and 4 power transfer: chance for heal when its finished. That is higher regen than your screenshot but im sure if instant healing were included it wouldnt be the case. It turns out dropping some regen set bonuses in favor of +hp bonuses can increase your regen because of the higher hp and you get that hp boost as well. I would think that regen set bonuses should give more hp/sec than +hp bonuses since you get both from +hp and only one from +regen.
  11. Im gonna need to see some reddit posts to substantiate these claims.
  12. Add 'show me evidence that would stand in a courtroom or your point is invalid' to the list. Like everyone that has an example also has graphs and timestamps and video and under oath eye witness testimony to go with it. Also... forty-two
  13. Generally when i taunt i want the enemies to come to me. I could maybe see this as a thing in pvp but there are alot of tools in place already to move around fast.
  14. not sure what to tell ya. i havent farmed in a long time so i went in to see and took an alt from lvl 8 to lvl 15 in 4 minutes and then i realized i had hasten turned off and got to 18 in another 2 minutes. 6 minutes is fast for 10 levels if you arent expecting it and a real farmer is much faster than me. I would think it took less then 4 minutes for him to go from 12-18. But this is just 1 story about 1 player and is likely outside of usual circumstances and intended to be aimed at retaining new players and not for recruiting them. The mobs in my damage aura while writing this leveled my alt up again 😛
  15. Since he doesnt log on anymore i couldnt ask him. And after months offline im comfortable saying that he quit. Sure he could show back up tomorrow, but until that happens, he has quit. I would love to live in the world where everyone gets 100% certainty and not having to use assumptions and educated guesses, but that just isnt real. Dude was upset that he got a bunch of levels in a farm. I showed him ouro, he was still bummed but played for a few more days. Even if he quit for a totally different reason, he was still invited to a farm and powerleveled when he didnt want it. Had he known im sure he wouldnt have joined the team. For us its obvious, but for him the AE building was the same as any other mission door that he might get sent to. We need to make sure we are taking care of our new players. And there is nothing wrong with farmers or farming but i see farmers advertising 'space in AE for a lowbie lvl 20 or less'. That team advertisement isnt enough for a new player to actually know what is going on. I can only hope that they are asking if people are new when they join the team and informing them that they will get a ton of levels really quickly and their old contacts will be outleveled. For some people that is exactly what they want but for others they would not like to be powerleveled right out of the gate on their first character. It really is up to us to make sure that new players get informed.
  16. I have 1 example of a new (returning) player being chased off from getting powerleveled. I helped him with a hunt in perez park that was slightly above his level. He was suprised that i was the same level as him and wondered why my level number was orange colored (i was on a lvl 50). I explained exemplar to him as he either forgot or left before exemplar was a thing during the retail run. I teamed with him through some of the skulls missions in kings row while explaining some of the HC changes ans getting him back up to speed in general. Before i had to leave i gave him 1 IO set that would work in his power and a few million influence (not hundreds of millions. Enough to buy SOs and switch to common IOs around lvl 25). I global friended him too so we could team up again sometime. I saw him the next day, or maybe it was 2 days, and he was around level 20. Turns out he joined an AE farm team but didnt realize what that meant. He told me he got about 6 levels before he knew what was going on and quit the team before he went higher. He felt that he missed some contacts and missions from being powerleveled. I let him know that they can be redone through ouroboros and proceeded to take him there to show him how. After that he transferred to excel. Im assuming because it was higher population but probably not the best place for someone that was trying to avoid AE farms. There are plenty of other groups there but also a constant stream of people running and asking for farms. And then he quit. When i first helped him in perez park he was super excited and couldnt believe city of heroes was back. I cant say for sure that the powerleveling was the only reason he left but it likely contributed to him leaving. I dont fault the farmer either but if we are trying to retain new players then we need to put a bit more effort on figuring out if new players are joining our farms and letting them know that they will outlevel their contacts and have to replay missed stories through ouro. Then the new player can decide if they want powerleveling. Then we have alot of people saying the game is old. Old games are a thing now and people play them all the time. But City of Heroes wont pop up in someones recommended list. Its up to us to get the word out. I was actually trying to find if that replacement hero game ever launched when i happened to find a link saying heroes was back. But the majority of it is up to us to get the word out. Ive already told my family and friend and gaming coworkers but i dont have the facebooks or twitters or any social media besides the homecoming forum. I would probably wear a shirt saying CoH is back with the homecoming website printed on it though.
  17. Chicken: Chi-kin Belittle, kinetics/sonic
  18. I would imagine as a zone event that it wouldnt end up exactly as suggested. More likely it would end up similar to the croatoa monster war with waves of enemies storming the beach somewhere that are met with waves of defenders and the players could join in. And those that wish to hit the contact and trainer and move on would be unaffected.
  19. I dont think the level of a zone matters much for whether or not it has an invasion event. Nemesis, Rikti and zombies sure dont care if its a low level zone. And invasion mobs are barely even an inconvenience when you are in the same zone but not participating. Invasions also have a duration so if they are ignored, they still go away. Im all for more content being added. If they add a bunch of GMs and you dont want to kill them then dont kill them. If they add a bunch of zone events that you dont want to do then ignore them. For me personally, more GMs would let me run my GM hunting league more often. I scout the GM spawn locations and form a league if there are enough up at the time. We would go through all the GMs and by the time we were at lusca we would have around 20 people. If the Croatoa monster war started, we would detour for another pair of GMs. Then we would load up kings row to get a paladin in kings row 2 back before they reverted the paladin event. Finally we would defeat seed of hamidon. I realize all that isnt a zone invasion but its another thing to do. People talk about more options being good all the time until a new GM or zone event is suggested and then all a sudden they dont want more options. I say if it fits well with the game and a developer is so inclined, then go for it.
  20. I havent played every arc so im not sure where they exist outside of AE, but there are rikti that have transformation power of some kind to look like normal humans. The first costume slot could have rikti options and the rest could be normal costumes and it would still fit with those disguised rikti that exist ingame. And across all the different rikti, there is a fairly decent variety of powers to fill the majority of an epic archtype. There are plenty of powers that can fill the gaps and with just 1 or 2 new powers it could probably have a very unique feel in gameplay. Shoot a guy and then slash him with your blade-axe-blaster. Then open a portal for reinforcements while dropping some radiation emission style support. Drop some holds with mind control powers and then that stalagmites foot stomp and teleport in an A-bomb to finish the job.
  21. Ive never played a blaster but i read /ninja having problems with beam rifle often enough. Maybe its that specific DP/nin combo messing with the costume loading. Ill have to check if its that or any held weapon set with ninja or just all of ninja regardless of the primary set.
  22. There is 1 powerset where the devs programmed a choice between two powers - super reflexes on sentinels. So it is possible but i heard it was quite the pain in the butt to pull off. I dont think they were in a hurry to try it again but you never know.
  23. Keeping people distrustful of the internet since 2022.
  24. They can all 4 be up at the same time still. I have seen them individually in the zone plenty of times. What ive never seen is an event message for the individual spawns saying jack or eochai has been spotted in croatoa. Ive only seen the unusual monster activity detected one that signals the war in the grim vale is starting.
