  1. WeHaveCake is pretty close.
  2. Having played other servers where this is the case and you can do this, you'd be surprised how overtuned it makes your character and suddenly you realize there's not many free powers left to pick except gimmicky ones or flavor ones like laser eyes. It's rare lately I can't fit every power I want in a build so I don't mind the boxing or kick prerequisite. I'm also a believer hasten isn't a must have for some powersets. You don't need it on a willpower character, for example, because you don't have any toggles requiring it.
  3. An unpopular opinion is that Positron is more of a Mary Sue than Statesman ever was. Statesman's thing was he was very strong, Positron was not only a powerful radioactive mutant but a master engineer and also the wielder of the flames of Prometheus? Kind of a bloated concept.
  4. Doing this with any strategy with only 8 people is extremely impressive. I'd love to be a part of something like this someday.
  5. The Devil May Cry series is one of my favorites to replay.
  6. I want to explore my awesome base and be a hermit.
  7. There's a weird coding reason behind it, I'm sure. I'd love it, though.
  8. The AI is so braindead that if they were as limited as a player, they'd be even easier to steamroll. Players have about 9 attacks on average minimum, while a NPC has about 3 or 4 max unless its an AV.
  9. I understand the feeling! I'm more of a redsider, myself. I have a Rogue/Vig VG though, if you're ever looking.
  10. You need to elaborate. I've seen no such accommodations. Exploits have been removed from the game, even, such as the GM merit farm.
  11. Where does it say scrappers can tank? They can take a hit, for sure, but...
  12. Are we doing this again?
  13. Don't make assumptions of me. I don't care if you lose it or not. Just would be a shame lol.
  14. It's not fair to make someone lose their names on a 50 if they're going to be gone for awhile. You never know what could have come up in their life. They could be deployed or something.
  15. A 50 should keep their name always imo.
  16. I don't remember you but I welcome you anyway!!! Good to see virtue vets as a fellow virtue-r.
  17. If you're not counting the i24 powersets Paragon had already completed such as bio armor and martial combat, you're looking at eight or nine new powersets since live developed by the SCORE/HC team. (I don't remember if tactical arrow was i24 or not). I however am aware electric affinity was the first one that was completely handmade and not leftover code by Paragon, but that's a damn good powerset. There's also the addition of a new zone - Kallisti Wharf. Homecoming is a complete volunteer project which means the issues are going to be very underwhelming in comparison to a full blown Paragon issue. The writing versus Paragon with the released arcs so far I would say is better than a lot of old City content - especially from the Cryptic days. The new vigilante story is really good. Anywho, I've so far found the arc pretty alright. I'm a little floored by what has been possible all along with the mission editor and what dynamic choices can be made with it. And unfortunately, one of City of Heroes inherit problems is soloing isn't always pretty. It's a problem Homecoming didn't personally contribute to as much as the game itself has. The Signature Story arcs were generally pretty soloable, however, so they were starting to learn. I do have to ask how you're going about playing your archetype in the mission arc? If you're ranged, are you moving out of the enemies melee range? I'm a bit of a jouster when I play blasters sometimes.
  18. It kind of overall depends what I'm in the mood for. FFXIV is a better designed game as far as combat, dungeons, and map layout goes as well as it being an overall extremely beautiful game with cinematic presentation to its boss fights. But if I want to turn my brain off and look at cool superheroes then I play CoX. lol.
  19. I haven't played the new stories yet. I should get on that, and I'll be back to offer my agree or disagree take.
  20. Field Operative is a stealth power, I'm pretty sure.
  21. I think the actual 'oomph' of City of Heroes combat exists in terms of it really does have feedback to it and you're knocking things around, but there's not a lot of depth. It's essentially a Dynasty Warriors game with hotbars. CoX is never going to ask anything complex of you, like FFXIV will, sans in very, very rare circumstances.

    no red love

I know I'm a dirty Everlasting person here, but if you ever find ourselves in our humble abode, I've been making a big effort to bring redside to life over there with event nights!
  23. I think every time we miss we should receive an electric shock irl.
  24. Ahhh! 😧 The PVPer in me hates this! (Yes, PVPers do still exist!) My personal favorite is missing executioner's shot where your character just shoots the ceiling/sky instead. "Sec, gotta shoot this mosquito with my revolver. Damned thing."
  25. I'm someone who generally plays games on the hardest difficulty and am one of those sweaty 'day 1' raiders in FF14. I never said I don't like a challenge. In fact, I'm a firm believer there should be a harder difficulty in CoX than +4 or a way to disable Incarnates for your team. +4 Radio teams just aren't fun when you have 8 judgements popping off and deleting the room with no effort. Yawn. But the 'power fantasy' for me is me being cocky and enjoying building my characters to extremes. I like to shine in a team. On topic, though, I don't think you should really miss a minion enemy after popping build up. A boss? Sure. But I feel like the game has a certain inconsistency with the way it registers what hits or misses, sometimes.
