  1. I have one character that has this power. I hate the power. It's everything that the theocracy wants: "Oh wah wah all the enemies are running from me. Let's create powers that we want so that we can gather all of them together, because that's how WE want to play. Skill? Taunt? Eff that noise. This is our effing game and we are going to make it so that it caters to our personal playing style."

  3. I think you should shut this thought process down. I do not agree with a lot of the things the current theocracy does. And that's fine. They kept the game hidden, and then they revealed the game, and then they made a pact with the owners of the intellectual property. These are all things I understand, and somewhat appreciate. And they do exactly what they want to do: not what the majority wants, not what the strongest wants, not what the weakest wants. They put in the sweat equity and if they want to give tankers +100% damage, that's up to them because if I don't like it I can stop playing. But if you or anyone else wants to tie some sort of pay-for-play garbage into this, I will actively stop it with everything I've got. I don't give every month, but I give a lot to the game and community. So no. I don't say that as someone who has any influence on the matter. But I do say that as someone who knows how the system works. Very well.

  5. I think that is the tradeoff. Now I totally understand that the game today is far from what the founding programmers intended, and I get that players just want to store more stuff for themselves. But what we need to keep in mind, and perish the thought, is that we need to put some sort of governor in place to keep people from exploiting. Now, I (like @UltraAlt I believe) have ?dozens? of supergroups. I generally set their storage at 1500 units. If they increase individual SG storage to 2000 units, or 10,000 units, is that a good thing? Originally the point of the /AH was to create a player-driven economy, but at this point it's degraded to waiting for people to sell inventory at low prices. I think that the gymnastics, whether that be mental or just moving things from point A to point B, is one of the reasons that I have enough inf to cause harm. Why make it easier for the everyman to cause harm?

  8. I don't know the actual limit of any particular set of items, or even if it is consistent across all items in the list. But what I can tell you is that the limit is definitely not 999 items, since I have many categories where I've got over a thousand. I'll try to keep an eye on if things are limited at 9,999 -- as of now I've got 8,909 converters in the C.I. menu. EDIT: categories I've got more than 999 items include salvage (including things like converters and unslotters, brain storms, reward meritx25); powers (like Build Snow Beast or Experienced). I do not think I have any enhancements or inspirations over 999, so it is *possible* that is a limit, but I wouldn't bet on it.
  9. My primary on Live was a BS/Inv scrapper, and back when HOs could affect things they strictly weren't supposed to affect I had three D/range HOs in Headsplitter. Tremendous.
  10. Return to Battle is superior for my purposes for two reasons. The first reason is that you can buy Light of Renewal from the Candy Keeper for 20 candy canes and 5k inf. This lasts 8 days real time, and I believe it is equivalent to Renewal of Light, although I haven't spent three minutes checking this in City of Data (all hail Uberguy). The second reason is a secret.
  11. Fold Space is kind of a poster child for this, since it doesn't take sets. Misdirection from the Concealment Pool makes great use of all three attributes. Also note: when an invention set enhances three attributes, it is at a lower level than if it enhances two attributes. HOs that enhance three attributes enhances all three at the same level as if it were an HO that only enhanced two.
  12. To the best of my knowledge, that is almost exclusively me! I’ve been considering putting in bids for Strength of Will because I think it is possible for people to get those through PvP but hey, my altruism has limits.
  13. It's useful -- certainly the A/R part is useful. If you raise it to level 53 you get +38.3% to each attribute and you can slot it in any power regardless of what sets it takes. You get better stats from a purple A/R at 50+5, but you can only slot one of them and only if the power takes that set. It used to only be available in DSO form and thus only through Dr. Aeon. You can now get it through other TFs, but I had though only Lady Grey. Does anyone know if this is true? It was my understanding that the new DSOs that did not have an HO equivalent would drop at a higher rate than the ones already available through Hami raids, and that the new Lady Grey introduced new HOs that were the equivalent of the new DSOs as well. I did not think that the new HOs got added to the Hami drop tables, but I haven't done a hami raid in years so what do i know? FYI, in the /AH, a HO is equivalent to a SHO is equivalent to a DSO. It's fungible, or "bucketed" as some like to say.

  21. I read this as you saying that PvP recipes/enhancements were practically non-existent, since your parallel in the previous sentences was about prices, so I made the valid assumption that by "pvp related ones" you meant pvp recipes and enhancements. Unpossible, and I'll up my offer to 10bn.
  22. I hear what you are saying, but I think you are being overly generous with your "no change!" beliefs. Consistent price drops from 4mm to 2mm are indeed only 2mm lower, but are also a 50% drop. I'm not saying where you can buy or sell one; I'm saying where you can buy or sell ten or fifty or a hundred. I will give you a billion inf right now if you can show me a screenshot of your buying converters under 60k in the last three months. Or of you selling LotG over 5mm consistently. And your comment on PvP recipes and enhancements as an extremely small segment of the player base? I don't doubt that is your personal experience, but your own personal experience may not actually reflect what is going on, as I see it.
  23. Heh he HAHA MUHAHAHAHAHAH! One adds them to the collection!!! But anyway I have noticed a lot of small changes over the last few months. I think the grand legitimizing brought back a lot of people who had either left with very full storage bins or are very comfortable with the crafting process. Standard Invention IOs have generally dropped dramatically across the board, and there is a lot more selling pressure than buying pressure. People seem to be much less willing to defend a market, so bid offer spreads are pretty much as high as I've seen them on a lot of goods. Sellers seem to be more willing to put several hundred/thousand of something up for sale and just waiting. ATOs and WOs seem to be good sellers. PvP has some supply hiccups, and maybe that's people taking down stockpiles when the #offered gets low. Purples have been gradually increasing in price and that's probably due to either one person or a small consortium, but that may be idle speculation on my part. Converters have increased slightly in price.
  24. I'd be happy just if they allowed Concentrated Strike to be affected by scrapper ATO chances to crit. That would make the set into a monster.
  25. Can't speak for tanks, but in my experience psi melee is almost entirely about Mass Levitate -- once it enters your attack chain, it's the focal point.
