  1. I have compiled a pretty complete list of window names, but many appear to do nothing — not sure why. It may be that, as with "incarnate" they aren't the name for the obvious window; it may be that the name and window match but brute-force changes aren't allowed (as is known for some windows). I don't have any alts up in Incarnate etc. range so I've never tested any of those. Looks like it's not something easy. I'm... going to go make a development suggestion about this.
  2. Yes, and in the costume creator, and we know that belt doesn't quite mesh with that armored tunic. Oh. Well. There are endless flaws and limitations in the costume creator. The current obsession, in several threads, about having super pure white skin/face, is... unhealthy. As is zooming in on your own face a lot to look for pimples. That takes special effort, emphasis on special. Now... I do play female toons because if I have to stare at an ass in spandex almost every minute of play...
  3. I'm honestly a bit boggled at the number of topics and posts on this in the last few weeks. The fine points of costumes are fun to play with, but you really can't see them in game and certainly not during play.
  4. Just to be clear... all of the power icons are integral to the game's assets. You can't pull outside images in to use, nor do you have to. The names in the wiki, the spreadsheet, etc. are just the asset name the command uses to pull the right little graphic. Some have typoes you have to preserve to get the icon. I find the spreadsheet a little more useful because you can click-to-copy those messy name strings without error.
  5. Useless until you slot it with Garlic, Anchovy, Onion, Flour and Pepper IOs... the Agita set. Then it rocks.
  6. If "help and support" is now being shooed off to the Help & Support forum, may as well just move it out of its own lonely board category and into the general HC group.
  7. Doc Vahz is touched by his noodly appendage for 1246 Saucy damage
  8. It's saved my TP alts many times when they, uh, misjudge a situation. OTOH, nothing like popping up to ceiling height and then dying... it's a loooonnngggg way to Tipperary. Same dodge can be used with Combat TP for a one-key pop-in, and to simulat CTP with Translocation. Also a one-key 'jump to base' if you have any of the base teleporters.
  9. I'd be against that, for a lot of reasons. I know being able to target the bosses is a fun, kewl idea, but I think this crosses the line into automating part of the game that really needs to remain in wetware. But completing the set of basic search options is,.. overdue.
  10. Even my kids never used it. Of course, they got into serious gaming teaming with the 'rents on CoX... at 6 or 7, I think. As for invited... still a bit miffed that no one ever invited me to the secret servers. I wasn't exactly anonymous or hard to find. So. Mrrph.
  11. We collected gum wrappers and 1909 S VDB pennies, mostly. But yeah, a team that could carry on a comedy routine while KA&TM was a real joy.
  12. But that's not the same thing at all. All children must follow house rules; within reason, they are open to debate and explanation. But in the end, parents hold veto power that should always be executed in the best interests of the child. Proto-adults who decide the rules don't apply to them can be made to consider the depths of the alternatives, and opt to leave if that's how unhappy they really are. I've known three emancipated minors in my life, all very stable and accomplished adults. Six kids, by the way. (Or eight, but that would take some explaining.) All exceptional citizen/adults despite at least one round of "the rules don't apply to me!" with each.
  13. Well, this isn't the place for it and I find a vast number of your comments about things outside the game amusing, but I'd love to know what you think the alternative is. All the kids get to vote on things?
  14. The email slash commands are grabbage. But then, so is the email system itself.
  15. Some of us were able to chat with full words while playing, n nvr hd 2 uz l33t. Most team chat I recall from Live was... borderline literate. Best memories are of kick-ass teams that could keep up with a witty conversation.
  16. The whole /target... hierarchy could use a refresh. I'd suggest deprecating the fixed target commands (not removing, just demoting) and adding the three keywords you suggest to the custom ones. Maybe alias them to /target_next, _prev and _near as well. Other than the (apparently useless but sometimes needed base/notbase pair, those three additions would cover everything I can think of for targeting. (I'll ignore the typoes. Sigh.)
  17. There are several threads like this running, in various subforums. You could start with both my site (which has some collections of binds and related tools) and the Technical Guide, which is 140+ pages devoted mostly to binds and all the elements that can be used in them. Might want to brush up on your search-fu, too. 😄
  18. That's probably it. Being a Mac, I suspect that key is being remapped to something at the OS or driver level. I am surprised the /bindsave trick doesn't give the keyword. There aren't many other keys, standard or non, that don't have/generate a key name.
  19. The short answer is that the menu (already way too complicated and confusing) is bugged in this respect. Use: /windowcolor rrr ggg bbb ttt Where r, g, b are 0-255 color values and ttt is 0-255 opacity. Wire it to a bind or macro so you can reset your alt's color and window opacity whenever needed. This is sticky.
  20. The powexec_auto function is a little... quirky, but yes, it will alternate on a single power. /macro B "powexec_auto Burn" will do what you are seeking. It may be just as easy to Ctrl-Click Burn to turn auto on and off as write a bind/macro to do the same thing. I focus a little more on binds than macros, but they are about 98% the same (same command strings, with a few limitations each way) in the Guide. You might find that more useful than a patchwork of answers and tutorials.
  21. Go to any invention table (at the Universities, or in a base, or at the RWZ base). Any recipe that is not dimmed out is ready to craft; you have all the elements. Any recipe that is dim means you are missing one or more ingredients, which you can buy on the Auction House. With a recipe, all ingredients and any Inf requested, click Create. The crafted enhancement will appear in your tray, ready to use or sell on the AH.
  22. I think this tops all the various key binds and macros for TP: LeftDoubleClick "powexecname Translocation" Doubleclick, bam, there you are. Substitute your TP power as appropriate. I also have a more complex bind setup to toggle between TP and Combat TP for travel vs combat use. And the press/release bind option allows instant TP with the two-stage powers: Y "+$$powexec_location up:max Translocation$$powexectoggleon Mystic Flight" ...which does an emergency pop way up high. Adapt for more usual travel.
  23. Kinda this, although I do think the OP is sincere. I'm never very comfortable with "I wanna play X, but have it be like Y instead." Part of the game is choosing what advantages to have and what disadvantages those bring, not just maxxed everything. That's more applicable to powers but isn't irrelevant to the visual and thematic elements, either. (And just to cover the other issues, you can suppress the annoying squid/dwarf fx with /suppressclosefx, if that's part of the problem.)
