  1. Pretty crummy of them to all, Mods and Devs, take a vacation before the Yosemite Sam emote was released. Humph. (That's odd... I can't log in to Excelsior now. Must be a glitch...)
  2. Great word. Add to it the marvelous 'gritware.'
  3. Hey, that's FUN. Thanks for the tips here. Unless this is something that can break the world (or a server) I'd hope they never "fix" it.
  4. Wouldn't necessarily have to involve a hat. Just a Yosemite Sam stomp around in circles bit. I'd upthumbs that. @Yomo, That pedestrian would just shove you out of the way. Ungrateful wretches.
  5. Search results are driven by what people seek out and click on. As long as the old wiki exists and players not here in the knowledgesphere keep going there, that's how it's gonna be. You might want to start with something simple like world peace or a cure for cancer.
  6. Thread is here. Written up in greater technical detail in the latest Guide. Very cool stuff, especially for the new two-stage travel powers. One key to rule them all. 🙂

  8. Nah. We all scramble to figure out the weird glitches in this game. That's why there are bars. Wait... are there bars in Paragon City?
  9. What, you can't just buy them off?
  10. It's a very granular system if you use /optionset, which offers more/hidden options over the menu settings. And thus allows a quick on/off bind or macro.
  11. Just a thought: did you buy two for a TOTAL of one hour?
  12. One hour. You can do it on a lunch break. Leave a toon parked in a Day Job location every end-of-session for about a week; as you note, it has to be logged off. Excuse me, my eyes just rolled away. Right back. (Not your suggestion, just that there might be players who think this way.) This alt is apparently known for doing this, on a continual basis. There are vague allusions to SG promotion and recruiting above, but the game has a perfectly serviceable (if clumsy) email system for that, and also noted above is that this instance seems to be completely inert. Not sure any 50+ could just Rest and walk away for days without noticing the game is still active. And others suggest there are deliberate reasons for doing this, hence again my question: What's the point?
  13. I've been using "Grapple" since about Ish 3. Makes mob melee a breeze. /bind G "follow$$target_enemy_near"
  14. Because T*sl*s are just so gosh-darn perfect they don't need one. 😄
  15. So I guess I am missing something here. What's the point? Especially if the alt is inert and not responding to tells etc.?
  16. I guess it's neither here nor there since server performance is rarely an issue, but the Guy Fleegman in the back of my head keeps saying, "Oh, that's not right!"
  17. /macro FSKB nop
  18. Have you looked at the new/newish/rediscovered press+release binds, especially for speed/flight on demand? All my alts now have a one-key "go like hell" mode.
  19. Had to look; I think he's still here. Aceaer? Big demon brute Sentinel? He's, uh, sitting in Rest mode. Not hard to duplicate. 🙂 That he shows no AFK bubble might be due to Rest(?) I didn't know Ouro was no-logout, though. Somewhere, a laptop sits quietly...
  20. Well, I know; that was Emmert's iron-clad preference (with which I do not fundamentally disagree). But the numbers got dumped a long time ago and the requests for a training dummy have been continuous. It seems trivial on the face of it; the only reason I can think it hasn't been implemented is for a deep-code. engine, bare-metal reason. I could be wrong.
  21. I'd suspect it will work anywhere (arenas, 'stores' and bases) if it works at all,,, but that the reason we don't have them is as arcane as the reason for AH limitations. Or maybe it just hasn't been a dev priority.
  22. Look, with all politeness and in an effort to close this... I don't see where anyone got smartass with you, at least up to this pointless (guilty) exchange. As nearly as I can tell, you took great exception to someone using a fake stutter in a comic response. Nothing about your replies after that makes it clear exactly why you went off the way you did. Erase all my comments above except the one about being clear in yours. Jumping on someone's ass without any real clue over the reason (especially when it's at a considerable tangent from the topic) is just going to provoke these wastes of forum space and tolerance. I spent 35 years getting a tendency to stammer under pressure under control. I found the comment entirely in good humor.
  23. Wow, I didn't realize KB vs KD was a religion.
  24. I can't see why, if that can be achieved easily, that base dummies wouldn't be possible as well. I am wondering if there is some low-level reason this is not as simple as it sounds (such as the reason AH can't be opened in bases, etc.)
  25. That, and several other techniques.
