Marvel had an Ares limited series during the Norman Osborn Dark Avengers arc, and in it we see one of Osborn's soldiers training under Ares observing how the god of war goes from powerhouse brute that rides a bomb Slim Pickens style down to the target then starts stalking the halls as stealthily as a ninja. Power sets are skills and abilities and AT is how an individual chooses to use those abilities. I'd love to see every set proliferated where ever possible and let people choose how to interpret their choices. TW/Invul stalker would be no worse than Stone/Fire stalker, and a Ninjitsu/Katana tanker would be just a different flavor of SR/Broad sword. SS on scrapper makes as much sense as anything else. Definitelt makes more sense than saying tanks are power houses and can use ever fighting style but scraps can't be super strong because they're skilled fighters.

You could replace the long term damage buff with a Build Up effect and then rebalance the base damage of the attacks around that. All the other melee sets seem to work fine without rage, so could SS.

It would be easier to copy the existing mechanic and balance of it than to code a new variant of it that only lasts for a few shots. Nothing wrong with borrowing against what already works and applying it to a different theme with different effects than what DP has.

So basically a dynamic duo instead of an MM. Play as Batman but you have more than one sidekick to choose from as situational need dictates?

DC had 2 Supermen (red and blue one time), multiple Supermen after the "death" of the original, and more recently the original and a Chinese version (also second Batman,Flash,GL, & WW). Marvel currently has 2 Spidermen and has had more (clones, alt reality, etc), and lots of characters have had more than one person usurp their identity. It happens a lot.

Would love to see a world where our AVs are the signature heroes. Maybe use the Recluse Victory map and explain the state of things as things have gone poorly under their watch when the Rikti attacked, especially if our signature heroes were the AVs but were already defeated or just don't exist and there's no Vanguard to unite anyone.

Dominators did get the bird attacks. I'm surprised that the whip attacks haven't been incorporated into an Assault set yet.

But you think the ranged attacks are likely to be made into pool powers? Would they be available to eveyone or coded to exclusive to the bulwark?
