Negative, Ghost Rider. Only certain AE-related badges are shared across the account, and Paragon Studios used an extremely janky hack to do it.

Necro/Dark and Beast/Pain are both good. If you want an even easier time, Robots and Mercenaries both with either Time or Nature would be pretty tankish.

Welcome (back?) to Paragon City and the Rogue Isles! Go to this thread here - Follow the instructions to download and set up the City Mod Installer. When done, look for "VidiotMaps for Homecoming" in the program. Install it, and you should be good to go.

Homecoming has shard maintenance every Tuesday, normally around 9 A.M. Eastern. The shards are back online as of a couple of minutes ago.

Also Sonic Manipulation's Sound Barrier at level 20 provides sleep protection. A very underrated power set.

I formed a kill most Mortimer Kal SF recently. A couple of people had never been red side before. I had to hand hold them through changing alignment to Vigilante and how to get to Sharkhead Isle. One of them, I literally had to go to Pocket D and show him where Null the Gull was, and then how to get to Sharkhead from Pocket D. It took a little bit of time. But you know, it was worth it. About two thirds of the way through the SF, one of them said, "Dang, maybe I need to play red side. None of the TFs over there are this easy to get to." In reference to how all of the missions after the first can be gotten to via ferry. So, if it took ten extra minutes to form the SF because I had to hand hold two people, but one of them decides to play red side on his or her own? More than worth it.

Honestly, Beam Rifle can be paired with just about anything. It's very versatile with very good single target damage and a lot of debuffs. Cold Domination, Dark Miasma, Sonic Resonance... anything. You can do a ton of -resistance with Beam Rifle and Cold Domination or Sonic Resonance, or a lot of -regen and a decent amount of -resistance with Dark Miasma, or a lot of everything with Radiation, etc.

IMO, it will be. Over the past five years, far too many people got it in their heads that the game is: I can be carried from level one to level 50 by joining AE farms, PI radio teams, kill most +4 ITFs, and Rikti mothership raids and I don't really have to do anything. Then at level 50, the real game begins.

For your first part, that's how VEAT costumes work. You can only have Arachnos costume parts in your first costume. Since you can't have them in any other costume, the other costume slots that you have opened are blacked out until you make a new costume in one. For the second part, IIRC the VEAT costume options were reworked a little while ago (Page 5ish?), so yeah, you'll have the invalid parts issue. Just go through the costume, make sure everything is right, and resave it.

Insane Framerate Drop/lag Surface Book 2
Lunar Ronin replied to AleahEevee's topic in Help & Support
IIRC, Surface Book 2 doesn't have a discrete graphics card. That's the issue. City of Heroes is a very old video game, but it still really requires a discrete graphics card. If you use the Homecoming Launcher, click the gear at the upper right, and then go down to "Homecoming." Where it shows "Extra launch paramaters," put in: -usetexenvcombine Try that. -
I love Mids' Reborn and its developers. They've done an immense job for Homecoming and its players. But you should not rely on it for numbers. I remember a couple of years ago when someone thought they were helping, and updated the powers on the Homecoming Wiki to reflect what was in Mids' Reborn... which was wrong quite a bit, including adding Bruising back to Tankers when that had been removed for over a year in-game but was still shown in Mids' Reborn. If you want numbers to rely on, use City of Data.

Sonic Resonance is great. It's just very endurance hungry, and doesn't have a heal as you've noticed. But if your primary has a heal, or you don't mind working Aid Other into your build, and you can deal with the endurance, it's very solid.

Who is Minerva and what is that thing on her back?
Lunar Ronin replied to Bionic_Flea's topic in General Discussion
Sonic Melee actually would be awesome. -
Just a slight memory leak today while AE farming on the asteroid map. I've never had it get quite this bad before. It started feeling incredibly sluggish like at the end of a raid. Since it felt just like at the end of a raid I figured that it was a memory leak, and sure enough... Windows 10 Pro, 64 GBs of RAM, Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti video card, running the December 2023 Nvidia driver.

Because it's not just the two shards for one thing. They're also performing weekly maintenance on the other three shards.

Still dying at 50 on 4x8 as fire/spine tanker. CoH build provided!
Lunar Ronin replied to Zizzy's topic in Tanker
Are you using an AE fire farm that was updated for Page 5? Fire sword attacks do -defense and will kill you quickly, and there are a lot of old AE fire farms that have never been updated. -
Name database - Will this get cleaned up?
Lunar Ronin replied to Pony Up's topic in General Discussion
Fine with that too, considering you can get to level 50 in a few hours. I'm more for the current policy, and opening up level 50 character names at three years. -
Name database - Will this get cleaned up?
Lunar Ronin replied to Pony Up's topic in General Discussion
If a person is gone for three or more years and loses a character name as a result, then yes, I'm personally perfectly fine with that person getting upset and quitting. Sorry, there's absolutely nothing short of being in a coma for three years (let alone four), that would justify as being gone that long other than personal choice. No military deployments last that long. IMO, if a character hasn't been on for more than three years, that name should be up for grabs because the player either doesn't care or isn't around anymore. -
EVE Online is that way. ------>

Sorry for the double post, but this is a very good example from just this morning that illustrates my point: New players simply do not realize that Task Forces/Strike Forces/Trials are different from regular missions, and that they can't just up and leave or join at any time. They need a tutorial or something to help explain that to them.
-
This obviously will not be for Page 7, but IMO there needs to be some sort of TF/SF/Trial (non-Incarnate trial that is), tutorial for new players. I've found over the years that new players often don't know what a Task Force, Strike Force, or Trial are. They assume it to be something like radio/newspaper missions, just that it can take you out of the zone, and think that they can freely leave after a couple of missions. I can't count the number of times that I've had people either just quit a TF/SF/trial in the middle, DC in the middle, or say, "Thanks guys, that was great!" after the second mission and then quit. They didn't know that the team can't refill that slot without starting over.

Very good. It's a very good single target damage set, with good debuffs. There's a reason why the first Really Hard Way Magisterium Trials back on live were full of Beam Rifle Corruptors.
