  1. My pleasure. The color of the enhancements screen is gold, you may be thinking of that.
  2. This is just me, but the way I've looked at the game since live is: Missions and story arcs are for soloing. Task Forces, Strike Forces, and Trials are for teaming. Everyone gets reward merits on TFs/SFs/Trials, while only mission holders do on story arcs and as you've pointed out, trying to align everyone on a team for story arcs is just messy. Too messy to be worth it, IMO. If a friend of mine asks me to join him or her on a story arc, I will, but that's pretty rare as I think they view the game similarly.
  3. It's a gray color. Can't check the hex color at the moment. Blue sounds like it is picking up your wdw.txt. Move your wdw.txt file out of your Homecoming\settings\live folder, then make a new Praetorian character. Once your character is made, you should see the default Praetorian UI colors. Then move the wdw.txt file back to the Homecoming\settings\live folder.
  4. Just to help with data collection, which graphics card (if any), are you using?
  5. You can unlock LRT by standing around Pocket D for one hour.
  6. Yes, they have. That's why there are DRM-free ebooks that can be backed up. Never, because I back them up. Hasn't happened since 2010. If that was to happen, I'd just switch to one of my Kobo e-readers. A couple of weeks.
  7. I have a tablet for web browsing and for reading digital comic books, magazines, and PDFs. I also have two e-readers for reading books. A tablet isn't the same. An e-reader has a nicer screen for book reading, it's more portable than a tablet, it doesn't need to be charged for weeks, and it's specifically designed for reading with no notifications from other apps disturbing you. As for advertisements, I have never seen any on any of the e-readers I have owned.
  8. If you read a lot and can afford it, an Amazon Kindle Paperwhite or Kobo Libra 2 is very worth it. It'll pay itself off easily for how much easier it makes reading with aging eyes, and it takes up so much less space.
  9. Amazon Kindle and Kobo e-readers have the ability to invert the screen with an all black background and white text. I use that. It's really nice to have hundreds or even thousands of ebooks on one device that's built specifically for reading, where you control the colors, font size, and even the fonts themselves. I much prefer ebooks to print books these days, especially with my older eyes.
  10. No time frame at the moment.
  11. There was a lack of AoE mez protection. Specifically, Tactics and Clarion Destiny. The common advanced modes strategies have gotten players into a bad habit of taking Barrier Destiny and only Barrier Destiny, and the player base overall underrates AoE mez protection. That can create a lethal combination for some Incarnate trials, especially Minds of Mayhem.
  12. The Wards are admittedly a little overtuned, which the Paragon Studios developers admitted to in one of the post-sunset AMAs. That's not a bad thing though, IMO. It creates a nice balance compared to the much easier old blue side content. The first three Praetorian zones aren't over tuned though, they're just not as easy as the earlier low-level zones. The only real difficulty is playing them with a Mastermind, as ambushes ignore your henchmen and target the Mastermind directly. But it can be done.
  13. Yeah, I am not crazy about attuned IO enhancement sets for that reason. But gold side content actually poses a little difficulty unlike most earlier content, and making it leveless would just make it easier.
  14. Blue side is a cakewalk at any level. Night Ward at level 30 isn't.
  15. No thank you. I enjoy playing the Praetorian content at level because it isn't so easy that I can roll my face on my keyboard and still win like blue side. Fix the various bugs gold side? Sure. Smooth out the leveling? Great. Be unable to start characters in Praetoria and play the content at the levels it was designed for? No way. In addition, leveless doesn't really work in City of Heroes as everything has an internal level. Making the Wards leveless would be meaningless as it would be a cakewalk at level 50.
  16. That's not a bug. Those values are for pets and henchmen only. PCs themselves only get half. You're not the first person to get tripped up by that.
  17. First thing I'm going to do is change the power tray slots back to numbers, put the recharge timer at the bottom of powers, and re-save my options settings to options.txt. Then I will save the classic keybinds to keybinds.txt so I never have to see the new modern keybinds. The second thing is I will continue leveling my Katana/Bio Brute currently parked in Nova Praetoria, waiting to ding level 10 and get automatically assigned the Praetorian invention tutorial. I could have just continued playing and done the tutorial myself for funsies, but I wanted to wait as I've wanted to see the invention tutorial pop-up be brought back for a while for new and returning players. After that, make an Illusion/Arsenal Dominator.
  18. Back in the days of live, either Cryptic Studios, Paragon Studios, or both (forget which), tinkered with the idea of making all characters' information publicly accessible via the world wide web. Much like the old City of Data, but not third party, and not as voluntary. So the idea was that you would be able to hide your character or character's badges, friends, powers, and stats from the cityofheroes.com website by setting those options in-game. It obviously never came to pass, probably for the same reason Cipher's original character viewer idea for Homecoming never came to pass. Too much information, and constantly moving information at that.
  19. It's the one that Michiyo put up a year and a half ago. -
  20. Yep, it appears to be fixed. I deleted the character I had on Brainstorm, copied a character back over, waited a few minutes, logged on and:
  21. So, I got onto Brainstorm to check these new controls out. I was told that you can just select "Classic" profile under the Keymapping Options. Except there are no profiles to select from.
  22. Thankfully, that's a bug which will be fixed for the next release. Otherwise I'd be raising a lot more heck than I already have.
  23. No, +recharge is wasted on henchmen. That's why Kinetics and Radiation are seen as subpar on Masterminds.
  24. That doesn't mean that it works for City of Heroes. Other games are other games. There's quite a few of us who don't play other MMORPGs. I've tinkered around with some, but never for more than a couple of months.
