  1. I thought I posted my agreement with this sentiment last night, but I guess I must have forgot! I may not of liked every addition brought in a page, but I do enjoy the people behind the additions. They're at least TRYING something, ya know? In any case, lookin forward to some new toons on Page 5.
  2. This. Good god so much this. But like I said, if I think im right and they think they’re right, all thats lost is the time spent arguing.
  3. If that’s your takeaway from this, alrighty. I’m moving past this. All I get is a headache and all you get is to keep replying.
  4. Did I strike a nerve here? Which part made you feel this response was appropriate? I never wanted ALL of CoH to be a sandbox but now I have to ask: What’s your angle? Do you want more “earned”(It’s a videogame, what are you earning? Do folks think having imaginary trinkets will earn the adoration of others?) content and thusly thats why you hate the sandboxy nature of CoH? Remember, this game was ALWAYS meant to stay and be casual for the reason I mentioned( RL) to keep the game fun and accessible. Are you upset people want to maintain this, and are extrapolating this anger to a fear of the whole game becoming this?
  5. I mean, CoH aint an MMO anymore, least in my eyes. I can agree on powercreep but what I disagree on is it being bad: I will say this until folks get it. People have lives now, jobs, families, ya know, normal stuff like that. It being a sandbox is a GOOD thing imo. In fact, if it is one, maybe it’ll draw more casual players( the kind this game wants AND was made for by the way). Having dedicated folks is nice, but then it becomes the same people and, to me, makes the game stale.
  6. They aren’t that powerful tbh outside of Fire and maybe Ice for offense. Defensively eh. But folks here are purposefully ignoring the main part that proves no nerfs need to happen: Slotting.
  7. Thats been my opinion too, but I like to remind folks: This is not a retail game. We can benefit from realizing this. Blindly defending the devs wont keep this game here, not to say being overly negative is helpful, but I think a lot of the more uh…vocal positive supporters, yeah let’s call em that, can seriously calm down.
  8. I can, but I'm not sure when I'll do it. I'll try for Saturday, but no promises! And yeah that's why I wanna look at that TF(Silver I would do but let's be real, unfortunately no one realizes yet that redside bestside so it's run less often.) those T8 and 9's are like you said; game changers. If I get enough, we'll go through the whole thing, if not? I think doing the first mish then skipping to clamor should suffice.
  9. I mean, exactly this. Side tangent: I swear, it feels like folks think if they say, "Devs volunteer yadda yadda spiel" enough they'll be made one. You won't, they see right through that I'd assume. So, why keep saying it? It's more irritating than the complaining and even LESS effective. In fact, ya' wonder why folks don't want to test anything? There ya go.
  10. Playtested a 30 mish with a friend(I was an Ill/Dark dom, they were FA/TW Tank) and the intro to Posi part 1, seeing as it's the lowest lvl of which you could exemp in a TF. My takeaways are listed below: Lower levels still suck for doms, literally nothing changed(End is still bad) Slots really keep these level changes in check. I didn't feel like I could just break the game now that I had Midnight Grasp. In fact, it missed almost every time I used it! Posi didn't feel worse or smoother, it felt like Live Posi. There weren't any issues leveling up to 50 after completing the lvl 30 mish. Overall, like I was saying earlier alongside others, these changes don't do all that much. TFs feel...more or less the same? I'd need to test Pen Yin for a better picture, but I'm guessing it'll be like Posi; pretty much the same.
  11. All buffing enemies would do is make this worse imo. The level changes means OPTIONS, not necessarily that you’ll be grossly OP at X level. Remember, slots plus IO’s already act as a level check, insofar as if I’m not Y level I cant slot Z IO. Trust me, that goes a LONG way in power curving. *Grumbles about not being able to slot my snipe set early in Moonbeam*
  12. Dang! Ya stole part of my feedback! 😛 Yeah I think that’ll be an issue with APP/Patrons too. Lots of references to levels there
  13. Thats a roleplaying( and should be likened to an aesthetic) standpoint. I am not a roleplayer, I WILL NOT embrace any RP reasons for…anything. I get what you’re trying to say but it comes across as “I see this as an RP aspect of CoH” i see it as an objective unlock and thats it, if I want to experience a hero going on ajourney, there’s Invincible( which i love!) on Amazon. I liken this to how folks hate Redside writing for one reason or another; it’s a choice but by no means should I try and FORCE you to like Redside writing
  14. My issue is: Time. I have more responsiblities in life, I don't have time for this "earned" crap. I've got other things in life that I already have to earn, I come here to chill, and play a game I used to love as a kid. If that's something that can't be understood or seems alien(not by you, Phi!), then that's a moment where you(generalized) need to ask what's REALLY important here. Not trying to be mean, but I'm tired of this common sense argument, I really REALLY REALLLLLY am. The power changes as they are help with this; I can pick things earlier, have fun earlier, and get through crap instead of wasting evenings or time during a week to slog through a painful and boring as hell experience. I think folks view the leveling experience as it is, as dynamic, and that's fine for them, but all these leveling changes seem to do for me is. if I'm going to have to I guess *shudder* start leveling the normal way again, I won't have to suffer at least completely while I do so.
  15. What I've learned from these pages is that whoever told me how to ignore people on the forums is a legit god send
  16. Yeah, just logged into beta. I'll retract my previous statement on the bug, and I guess I didn't fully know how FE worked(See! Others better at this than me got on it :P), because I had no idea it added 50 fire damage(really? only 50? c'mon! but this WAS a tank so..) to attacks. Off-topic but am I to understand that, given these changes and Burn matching modifiers, that Scrapper/Tank would be better for farming now? I have time to adjust to this and well, I was planning to redo my Rad/Fire brute but I suppose that's a bit of a moot point.
  17. Much appreciated! This, I can work with.
  18. On the topic of Focused Feedback, what’s that exactly look like here? It can be said till the cows come home but what do you ACTUALLY want us to look for specifically in this case? I’m looking to test some things in a bit, and this change, which is the most interesting to me to test, is on the docket. I’ve already tested/provided my yake on Fiery Aura, so this is next.
  19. I tested. . The patch for a brute is generally not great. The numbers I was getting were admittedly a bit skewed given I was popping rages( farms and all). On a tank I went as is, and yeah the Fiery Embrace bug was there I think? So my numbers there may be better but overall my gripe is with the terribad recharge nerf to burn. I’ll retest once FE gets fixed, though. You need to calm down too btw. At the end of the day remember this is a video game, and reacting like this is generally frowned upon. It’s fine and won’t be the end of the world if people exaggerate a bit. It happens on the forums, but reacting like this? Not gonna change things
  20. This. After testing it on my brute, it makes things…interesting for fire farming. Tried it on my tank too for general content and yeah the recharge is just wrong on Burn. Everything else makes sense, the multi patch thing, the procs stuff, but that recharge is quite simply wrong and unnecessary.
  21. "Earth is just a planet. Last I checked, planets aren't made specifically for any one species."-Blak Star, self-proclaimed Warshade stereotype.
  22. At the end of the day too, HM is kinda irrelevant(like I assumed it would be) thanks to everyone having(or seemingly, if the AH is anything to go off of) what they want. I don't see runs on Everlasting for HM anymore, and if it's on Excel that exclusion comes from folks who are taking HM way too seriously(and still being terrible at it btw), which makes me both laugh and feel sad/concerned on where things will be going from here. Personally? Outside of the odd run or two, I'm done with HM. It's really niche, which is neat for those who like it, but it's ultimately worthless content to me. The AH reaffirms this imo too, though I expect the AH will spike if/when they release whatever other costumes they have planned.
  23. Wanting to accomplish something: No problem! Parading around like the success should matter in the real world and trying to shove it down my throat: Tryhard. OP may be using it wrong, but it VERY MUCH is meant to be and is an insult. If it’s one group of people I hate with a passion, and it matters not if its a game, are tryhards. Such sad and irritating people they all always are. In any case! OP the only instance of Holy trinity here is HM, which yeah I’m not happy about it being Holy trinity on things like 4-star, it’s niche content and I can get through it. But, if that ever touches actual content I’ll be a helluva lot more upset.
  24. There’s no change in the patch. Taunt never meant everything is always in Melee range. Some enemies(a good number) only have ranged attacks so they’ll stay at their max range post-taunt. Now if they’re not even doing that, then that’s a different story and may be a bug.
  25. Ok but how? This is RP not a job or literally anything that matters. These “Heavy RPSG” types have qualifications now? Isn’t that…you know, taking it WAY too seriously?
