I almost never agree with UA. But sadly, this time I break that rule. Unfortunately, this is technically true. Good thing is though I HIGHLY doubt people like UA have the INF to corner a market niche of any major significance, so this type of practice doesn't lead to long-term hyper inflation like preshutdown days. Now if I ever see prices like 20m for [insert ATIO here] persist for more than a few hours, I'll be a bit scared about where the AH is going. But yeah, it's just basic business to sell at a maximum price for minimum cost. May not be a liked principle, but it's still true. Good thing is in CoH, you can be filthy rich in mere hours of inconsistent play. I'm literal proof of this. Well, 2019 me was. I've been coasting for years >.> <.<

Uhhh I think I have 75 or so 50’s. All are fully IO’ed(or were, rather. A few got salvaged) and most have at least T4 alpha. Some get the full suite of T4’s though. As far as what keeps me playing the alt? Usually their ability to solo. If they can’t? They get shelved early.

My foolproof method: 1.) Make build in Mids 2.) Take literally any device that can get a screenshot.(I’ve used my iPad once) 3.) Take screenshot(s) as needed 4.) That’s it. That’s the process Then delete after all is done 😁

You know I never thought to use purps. My thing was boosters. It's like gold in the RL stock market; usually safe, not too terribly wild swings, so profits aren't always insane, but I've made 800mil-1.5 bil off of doing this in several instances. It does require you to play the new 50 for a considerable amount of time to get the RM necessary(not play religiously, just over say...a month or 2? leisurely, ofc.), which, speaking as someone with chronic altitis, can be VERY difficult to do 😅 And then I coast off the billions until I eventually need to do it again after bankrupting my account due to excessively expensive builds >.>

The hilarious thing about this statement is that people for some odd reason think those leveling know how to play the game. If anything, they're worse. Y'all just get more time to reinforce bad habits/misuse powers. It's the same thing as PL'ing, but actually 10x worse because it's harder to fix than a more malleable/green AE 50 player. I've teamed with countless regular levelers who ruin Mo runs, or don't know how this or that works in a TF that they should have played leveling at one point or another, which is very perplexing.

2 bils not a lot. I had 5 and within 4 50s am now down to 1.5ish. If someone makes alts then yeah it’ll go quick. But if they’re just flipping the market to make even MORE then yeah that’s a jerk move. I don’t see too much of a solution though, given that the caps already 2bil, and im not exactly going to give up -my- inf for a lower community cap because some dude sat on CoH all day and rigged the market(if that’s happening, ofc)

Right, I read that, and literally thought the entire time: Why don't you buy some yourself? What's stopping you from getting Inf to buy the IO's/Winter packs back then? That deal went on for...2 or so years? I dunno. During that time, couldn't you of bought some too? Maybe saved up, or used your 50s to get merits/emps(back when conversions were a thing) to get the inf to buy them/flip 'em? My point is: How is it possible for "Have-nots" to exist, when you pretty much get inf thrown at you for being patient/playin through arcs/mishs *"you" is used to address the people who identify as Have-nots as a whole, not you specifically Snarky 😄

Expand on this. This isn't RL markets with RL billionaires. It's CoH. I'd like to understand the concept of "Haves" and "Have-nots".

They want to force people to team with them is my honest opinion. What they don't know is we still probably will do like HC now. Get a farming toon and go on our own. Least I know I would.

Rebirth is a thing. You’re not gettin a server for this, and certainly not a lot of players on it if you did. I hate to be the grinch who stole Christmas but since this topic keeps recycling, I think it bears saying. Remember the variables surrounding your time to play back then: -Less responsibility. -less options for well put together MMOs(ehhh that one’s STILL up in the air imo) -More patience from the community(The rules and responsibilities were different back then) This server I think would go the way of the dodo after a time. 5 people teaming regularly at low end, 100 at BEST on high end, yes, even on HC.

The base, sure, if it's public that is. That, I think, would be cool. If it's honestly just a group of close friends, it still can get a liiitle like the prison experiment, but I'm sure with a smaller group size that can be nipped in the bud. Go for it I guess, OP

I've seen this in exactly TWO pieces of content: Manti and Council TFs(They really gotta stop bringin in the recruits fresh off the streets :P). It is more than likely a flaw. It never happens in any other group in the game, making it more glaring of a flaw.

Well, imo, 4 star is a big waste of time. It's no more difficult than 3, mechanically speaking, but it is a huge stat boost to enemies. I figure, why waste time running a 4, when a 3 & some iTrials will net you almost the same returns, and is more time effective. Barrier cycling is kinda case n point. The stat boost are the only "challenge" in HM 4, so folks realized that and cheesed it.

I assume the rest of your build is SOs? If so that's why. SO's will feel rough compared to an IO'ed out build, or even compared to say, the performance shifter +end IO. Give it some time to get there! For mine, he practically doesn't have end issues, and DEFINITELY doesn't with ageless radial. Stj/SR as well. Give it some time to flesh out before dumpin em. SR on IO's is a thing of beauty imo.

Mine never seems to struggle against the majority of content. The trick is to not build for only Fire res 😛 Gotta second whoever said Kinetic Melee. It's...probably solidly the worst. No extra crit or interesting gimmick besides punitive -damage and no real worthwhile build up. That puts it as a garbage tier set IMO

I see PAPs going to 5m. Which I think it’ll stick at or around. More than selling boosters but still less than just outright flipping things with more work. I’ll compile the aether I have and make one last big sell in December when I think they’ll be unveiling the snowmen costumes and be done with the stuff

I would proc FT not AS. AS is for stalker steath ATIO(and the rest of the set. But that's mostly my OCD at this point :P). But yeah Ice/Cold stalker is very nice 😄

Rogue for me. Seemingly heroes aren’t in the business of actually fixing anything, so why not go Rogue? I like the bird, makes for quick swaps on the fly for accolades when needed Not too sure how I’d make it different. Maybe clean up the tips to better reflect alignments and create real choices?

Blasters don't usually go squish. But I guess if you want a easier time of things, then go for Ice/Cold corr or fender.
