Wanting to accomplish something: No problem! Parading around like the success should matter in the real world and trying to shove it down my throat: Tryhard. OP may be using it wrong, but it VERY MUCH is meant to be and is an insult. If it’s one group of people I hate with a passion, and it matters not if its a game, are tryhards. Such sad and irritating people they all always are. In any case! OP the only instance of Holy trinity here is HM, which yeah I’m not happy about it being Holy trinity on things like 4-star, it’s niche content and I can get through it. But, if that ever touches actual content I’ll be a helluva lot more upset.

Im finding my Fire^3 to be m fave so far. I have a strong fear I’ll be kicked from a team, seeing as there’s been times when I’ve out damaged the entire team( a seeming regular for Fire blasters I know, but still). Next is my Stj/SR stalker. Very crunchy, very much a risk v-reward style build *Several other 50’s alternate between main on both this and my alt account

If it's what I'm thinking this is, HeroCorps is about to have a bit more of an identity soon within Paragon. Good thing I'm already a Rogue and am more than willing to sell out

Can you no longer convert Empyrean Merits to Reward Merits?

Very fair! I’d day really as long as you’re doing what works for you and is still fun, you’re making the most lucrative move :D -
Can you no longer convert Empyrean Merits to Reward Merits?
Seed22 replied to mtmittens's topic in General Discussion
Emps are very easy to come by. As in, disgustingly easy. Go do an ITF kill most...3 or so times to be safe, and you'll have plenty! Maybe enough for one or, depending on what you come with, TWO T4's(i've gotten 3, but that was because I was coming off a TinPex and had gotten lucky). This idea that emps are hard to get confuses me. They're as easy, wait-easier than getting merits. Don't like ITF? Do literally any content on decent diff, emps will be a flowin after a little while, whereas merits are confined to TFs/certain arcs/trials. Not hard to do for sure, but emps are technically easier to get, given they come from those vet levels. If they become harder to get, I think a new slot would have to open up to make it worthwhile. -
HM 4 Aeon kinda gives the OG CoH feel and let me tell you, it’s not a diamond like you thought it was. I used to think the same thing, because when I played CoH way back when, I had all the time in the world and didn’t really care about the quality of my toons or the overall experience because it was fun enough. But, after having been back 3 yrs, with I think 72(?) 50’s(which is 47 more 50s than I had preshutdown). HC version is a lot more efficient and fun overall, imo. Though thats probably because I’m a lot more casual now than way back then.

Seed22 replied to mtmittens's topic in General Discussion
Only thing I think this change did was make it so I had Transcendant Merits for new 50's. I don't think I'm grinding more for INF, in fact, I only did the HM ITF when it was fresh for about a week, walked away with enough inf that now I definitely don't need to grind for...probably ever again, actually. I'm not like some folks with 100bil or whatever, I just have enough to not need to grind anymore -
I mean, I farm and I’ve never felt attacked for it. I think what would help is if folks stopped thinking of the CoH community as some kind of family wherein their judgement holds weight, and instead looked at it for what it is, a bunch of people on the internet doing a thing.
-
Huh, well I better tell those guys making the donations then. But yeah, pretty much spot on I think for CoH closing. Folks here as of late have been giving wildly inaccurate accounts of the closure, which is of course not great.

I didn't know this existed, and now I'm extremely confused as to what happened to make this occur -

At least the writing's good! Redside Bestside dangit! But you're right, the scenery needs a serious boost, and hell why not give me another contact or two while you're at it! -

This is very true. Or, I propose, since CoH is so big of a MMO, before taking that big break try and find something that maybe you've always(not you specifically, just a general comment) wanted to do. Wanna make that awesome AE arc? Now's the time. Wanna do the long-form project that is base building? Get to it! CoH is so casual, you can 'soft-break' by just doing the oodles of side activities that maybe have caught your eye but you never got around to. It's working surprisingly well for me so far. Granted, I am now angry that I haven't been working on my arc like I should be whenever I do log in 😛 -

The thing with INF: Thanks to Aether and I think my initial interest in HM(driven by my love of my Symph/Therm at that time), I was able to accrue 5bil. Now, mind you, I have...I dont even care anymore amount of 50's over all of this time, and I ignored the easy path(took me...3? Years to get to this point). And that's actually a GOOD thing, 'least for me. I like to think that the only reason I'm not fully considered casual is b/c I played CoH way back pre-shutdown and had prior knowledge to work off of, but I digress. Not chasing that INF made it so I had a reason to play CoH, and I think a lot of folks may be in this camp, which is why you see post about Inf issues and such. Truth be told? Getting 5bil after making most of the builds I wanted...is kinda pointless. Now, what keeps me even playing at all is using AE for actual story content. I think someone mentioned earlier about how it would be a nightmare if CoH billionaires got bored and quit, and I generally agree. I think that while sure, it's fairly easy to get inf and folks can/should try and read the guides, I think maybe the biggest issue is there's...nothing really to do with all that Inf. What? Donate to a CC(or depending, fund it yourself :P), or buy aether for some vanity costumes, or spend it in the tailor(good luck on that one!). Maybe we need not only more casual arc content(we do. We really do.) but also something actually worthwhile to spend inf on( That's a hard one, since build funding isn't really an issue, and I for one am not for MAKING it an issue.) The issues surrounding HM is a whole 'nother can of worms to deal with in and of itself though, as I think has been noted plenty in this and the OG Feedback thread. -

But like, you can go to PD and literally get rid of that issue. And then, when you're not tired, you can put it back on. -
This doesn't look good if that's your version of "live and let live". Not like you could even if you wanted to, break into their house and FORCE em to play in a team sure, but this doesn't look like "live or let live".

They teleport either out of LOS(smart, even if I hate it :P) or in a line 5ft away. It's a toss up if it's smart or not, really. *The AI, that is. Teleporting SHOULD be a smart tactic.

A mean, wits would be understanding that THIS IS A VIDEO GAME. As in, on both sides, no need for personal attacks. Go outside, come back in, take a breath, and go redside because common sense says: Redside best side! >:D -

I had 25+ trollers at 50 preshutdown, I agree with the sentiment. Post-relaunch, I saw a healthy amount of trollers, and their impact was felt pretty handidly when they were around. This idea that they're just so useless has always irritated me, as they were my fave control AT, before Doms. To reiterate, for those reading, trollers don't need more of a shining role, they already have one. They DO NOT NEED anymore of a reason to be in a team, folks just need to understand what it is they do, and work within that parameter. -

Blappers do considerably more damage. I'm not saying you're playing it wrong, just, well, that's why they usually are in melee. Seismic does okayish damage (personally I'd like it to get juuust a smidge of a bump, but hey.) but a purely ranged wont touch (and shouldn't) a melee blapper in damage outside of Fire(and even then, a Fire^3 that is comfy in melee will smoke the all-ranged Fire, again, as it should.) because of the risk they take to do so. Good point on the Scrappers though, until you consider Judgement, which ofc as we all know turns every situation into Blaster-nuke damage, which I don't necessarily see as horrendous(though I guess those who oppose Incarnates would, but then again, and no offense, I don't care what those folks think at all.) -
I have a Rad/Dark that I believe is more than HM Capable. Can't go wrong with Rad armor as a consideration.

I feel she's HM ready, but never got the opportunity to take her into one (darn abundance of tanks! jk :D) The TLDR of it is: With Meltdown, which helps the damage so ya wanna use anyway, you're at 90 to everything but cold (72%) and psi (75%). With Melee Radial (for extra tankage cause why not?) You get ~57% melee def and a smattering of high other defs Added Barrier for even MORE tankyness, and because I wanted to end up Tanking the HM 4 Aeon fight but see prior statement on tanks 😛
