Because...and guess what this is the crazy part I know but please hang with me and follow me here: There are different people than you. And...(wait for it. waaaaait for it.....It's gonna be good I promise!) they enjoy different(that means not the same) things than you! So to them, maybe doorsitting is fun? Who knows! Or maybe they'll use that 50 later. I just know that it's not anyone's business to tell them what is and isn't fun. On a less snarky note: If the farmer is okay with it, and the sitter's okay with it, you have no business telling them that's not "fun". No one does. It may seem odd, but at the end of the day it's between them. Responses like these are why I'm a forum grouch, folks are so bored they're now trying to tell others what's fun. The sheer ignorance and audacity is...irritating.

It's not you Troo, it's just my general reaction to everything on these forums 😛

The introduction of sets n whatnot made emp more and more obsolete, not the game being away. That and emp is kind of a boring holy trinity set that’s horribly outshadowed by actually interesting sets. I say this as someone whose first ever defender 50 was an emp back in the days of SO’s being dominant. And as someone with an Emp/Sonic today at 50 with all the bells and whistles. And bad play? The hell is that? Thats the equivalent of that skinner meme. Blame everything under the sun except the fact the set sucks. Unfortunately every emp I ever team with on Everlasting has ignored the buffs in the set(ironically, they HAVE the powers, they literally just ignore them).

Ehhh think I’d get bored. Hell I’m bored now post-50 after a few days( it’s why I keep making new 50s) if everything becomes insta-50, think it would be the push to finally get me to forever uninstall CoH

The only thing I'd agree with about AE farming is that the fire critters giving 3x XP was a bit...concerning. Other than that: I say let em do them. If that's what brings them joy, you'd have to be a complete dick to take it away. And that sorry ass excuse of "MMOs have years of blah blah who gives a damn" isn't a valid reason to take away someone else's joy. If that were the case, the same logic could be applied to the RPers sitting in pocket D all day, but they don't get flack so neither should those sitting in AE. Mind you, I do play other content and only use AE to get new 50s, but I think folks forget this point: others do things differently than you to get joy in CoH, and that's okay!

They're usually overlooked because rewards, sure, but also because most folks story mishs aren't...well...put together well. I've played some on a whim and boy howdy... but that's the nature of player-created (or hell, even DEV created) content. It's hit or miss. I'd love to play more player-made story arcs, but I'm not going to slog through something that's rough to read. That doesn't mean I think ALL player made content is like that, but I'd be lying to myself if I said a lot of it wasn't.

They're more helpful sure, but I'd take this order of support: EA>NA>Therm/Cold>Dark>Rad>TA>Poison>FF FF still offers painfully little outside of more def, and maybe an intelligently used Force Bubble, but that's kind of hoping the player knows how to use it. The other sets in this list at least do more than one thing.

No, not at all! Thats just standard building if I’m understanding you correctly. I did that with all my primary account 50s, and they all eventually had completed builds. I do want to say though, you should be careful with HM content. Thats designed, outside of 1 and maybe 2-star, fully kitted 50s( T3-T4 incarnates alongside this are for 3 and 4 star HM runs) Other than that and maybe Master-Of( and even then, most likely not an issue), you should be fine endgame. Want to know what defeats even hardcore CoH vets: Reading. No seriously, people fail things not because of IO’s and whatnot, but because they don’t read 😛
-
No the hell they didn't. Prices were so stupid expensive you could never get a fully kitted 50 unless you forsook RL completely

Looootta these folks on this thread don't understand that

issue 27 Focused Feedback: Architect Entertainment
Seed22 replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
I don't farm to help the community. I farm because I want a new 50, then once that toon's 50 I take em out and get those vet levels through TFs/Accolade hunts/etc because as times have changed and I've grown older, that's what's fun to me. I feel for the folks losing vet levels post-50 in AE, but I think if you look earlier in the thread I've layed out some work arounds, if you could call 'em that. But on the economy? I use any proceeds from farming to outfit my next 50, and I'd imagine many farmers do the same, so I don't think there's anything to worry about there when this page drops. -

Seed22 replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
That last paragraph is what I have a problem with: You can’t just say “statistically” and expect to be right. Show me numbers. Because I have a lot of 50 fenders and I’m sure others do too. -

Softcap ranged def and you’ll get the same effect 😄 -

I think folks also are overlooking the monsterous potential that T9 has. It can literally raise the control of the whole set by 2 Mags!(of course ignoring AI hiccups :P) -

Seed22 replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Nah, it's not. And that changes nothing from my original post 😄 Also I couldn't give a rats ass about S/L def, considering how easy ranged softcap is to get -

Should be "desirable". No AT should ever be needed for a team to at least work through a TF or mishs -

Oh yeah auto enhance is shit, absolutely. And awesome! I hope you enjoy it! -

Seed22 replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Thats true. I mean the stun alone does buckets of damage. Or I guess thorny for an assault set, but why uh...why would anyone play that set? (I say this as someone who had an Ice/Thorn pre shutdown >.>) -

Uhhh....what's MARTy? 😮 All my time playing between live and now and...no idea what the hell that is. -

Maybe give dark a look or even Energy Assault, if you're ok with kinda lower damage (maybe less use of TF?). Dark has a decent ranged cone I think in nightfall -

Blasphemy! Plus to be fair I mean Symph wouldn't be the first set in the game to kind of copy other sets almost entirely in damage type or what have you. I mean, look at Katana and Broadsword, as an immediate example. There are a few others but im drawing a blank currently. The point is Symph can exist alongside mind; Mind has a bit harder immediate CC than Symph, at least from my playtesting. Plus! Symph is unique thematically from mind in obvious ways. Plus mind is, well, trash. Someone needs to be good at...whatever the hell mind's trying to accomplish (outside of Doms who make it pretty decent), and symphony does that too! EDIT: Mind isn't always trash, it's just USUALLY trash.
