Enemy Difficulty through the Ages
Paradox Fate replied to Glacier Peak's topic in General Discussion
I wonder if that is more of a Blue Side observation than anything else. Even with IO's, Red and Gold Side will have you quickly if you are overconfident.- 73 replies

Unless the person is wrong on the internet, or being openly made a fool. Suddenly a lot have enough time on their hands to throw in their commentary in. -
Some powers need a faster activation time, matching their counterparts in other powersets. Can't tell me that Trap's Tripmine cast time of 5 seconds is considered fine, when the one in Devices has 2.77 seconds. And has no interrupting in it. And the Poison Trap is 2.77 seconds, while the one in /poison is just a single second, literally just slapping it on the floor and setting it off. If they cut down the 'cast time' of those to match the other sets, Traps would have much better mobility and can be more aggressively used.

There's also still the issue that some Henchmen, despite sufficiently slotted with +%Endredux IO's, still manage to run out of Endurance. And I don't mean on the overall scale during a longer fight - A single Henchman of the group just loses it much faster than the rest of them. I noticed that more on Zombies and Ninjas, less so on Robots.

About the relative difficulty of fights in this game vs. others
Paradox Fate replied to temnix's topic in General Discussion
They are definitely upping the difficulty on the mid-late game, for some reason. We got the CoT and the Council remakes, along with the redone Cavern of Transcendence Trial. As the result the trial is nearly dead these days and doing Khan is less of a hassle to do than this now. -

The Blue Side low-level area factions definitely could use a slight uptick in their repertoire, no idea why the Council and Crey (again?!) get a adjustment while anything in Atlas/Sky/SC and Talos are mostly untouched. I thought the deck was newly mixed since Galaxy's fall and we already saw that a few 'thug factions' gotten their hands on new stuff or a shift in their hierarchy, making them more dangerous than before. -
After finishing a Human Peacebringer, I wanted to give the Warshade a spin. Nova form is nice for low/mid content I would like to tackle frequently (Dark Nova Emanation/Detonation are so satisfying to fire!), hence I would like to keep it in a build. Are any out there that I can use? Thanks in advance!

Homogenation - Should all powersets be the same numbers wise?
Paradox Fate replied to Troo's topic in General Discussion
I wouldn't mind it on same powersets/powers but different AT's. Example: Poison Trap from Poison is 1.0/1.188 sec cast/arcanatime Trip Mine from Arsenal Assault is 1.93/2.112 sec But both on those on the Traps powerset are 2.77/2.904 and 5.0(!)/5.148 sec. -
What would you do if you were a DEV?! (Fun Ideas Talks)
Paradox Fate replied to SSR's topic in General Discussion
Reworking the badge system to properly have a extra window you can better track what you need for them, along with putting tracker texts on screen of which you are actively pursuing. Similar like the WoW Achievement window. So no more second guessing certain ones like History Plagues, wondering if you skipped it or not by accident in a zone you previously cleared. I'd also make Stalker's Assassins Strike hit chance to 100% when performing it while in Hide when certain accuracy requirements are being met. No more XCOM levels of '95% chance equals feeling like 30%' moments, especially when using BU to set up for a high-damage move, only to whiff it and having AS on cooldown. -
I'd think the PPD is just too much stretched thin offering KW enough security and stability with the resettled Praetorian citizens due to ongoing troubles across Paragon City and dealing with the aftermath of the Praetorian war, so a private contractor was put into place by the suggestion of Emil Christie until things have settled down. You could argue that this was a more or less pretense maneuver of her to have a private security force established within Paragon, strong-arming the citizens of KW under the guise of 'keeping the people of Praetoria safe and secure' through frequent checkpoints, issued curfews and 'defusing escalations' (through the use of powerfists to the face, whenever it was really necessary or not). No public press would be allowed to enter without permission either (for safety reasons, obviously, duh), and heroes are being eyed at with wariness and charged weapons, 'just in case'. Shoot first, maybe ask questions later if something is left. And once Emil has her private army deep in Kallisti Wharf, it could be very hard to remove them out of there - Likely due to political plays, red tape and backroom intimidation/deals.

START vendor option to disable lower-level salvage drops.
Paradox Fate replied to Mystoc's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Groovy, thanks for that. Filtering recipes rarity and inspiration tiers was quite useful, but getting a salvage filter as well is massively helpful reducing inventory clutter. -
Focused Feedback: Enemy Group Changes & Fixes
Paradox Fate replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
No more Council 'Freem!' knockbacks from Wolves and Robots? Good. -
I like to randomize at times, just clicking away at the 'Random' until something interesting shows up. Often, however, only a few selected pieces of the whole random sets are considered good. But I am not able to keep the interesting bits while I further shuffle the rest. So I would forward the idea of 'locking' certain selections (and colors), being exempt from being shuffled by the 'Random' feature - Or just preventing it from accidentally being clicked upon.

The Relics of Zan'Kulu (ID: 63100)
Paradox Fate replied to Paradox Fate's topic in Mission Architect
I appreciate the looking into the spelling errors - I shall see to that I can fix them. Thanks for the feedbacks! -
Also, the very back of Boomtown during Synapse.

Because all Strike Forces other than Dr. Aeon and Mortimer Kal are Signature Strike Forces, thus Virgil Tarikoss has the enemy level set to 20, its max level.

If Pets are this bad, what is the point of Masterminds?
Paradox Fate replied to Caios's topic in Mastermind
I found them to be very troublesome to play on speed/expedited TF/SF runs, since the Henchmen usually get shredded by the groups we pass through when going for the back end of the mission map for Boss Defeats, having to waste 10+ seconds to resummon and buff them again while everyone's already underway to the next mission. Eventually I didn't even bother with it anymore unless it would be one with a kill-all objective. It ... does not feel good only being able to use 2-3 abilities from your complete power roster while half of your powerset is obsolete because its not made with speedrunning in mind. -
Part of Twinshot's Arc : The Shining Stars - Big Leagues (Level 10-14) Grym is present at the University, not in Skyway City. Better would be: "Afterwards, go speak with Grym there."

Tried my hands on making a AE arc. First attempt something simple: Any feedback or suggestions are welcome, still getting my feet wet regarding this.

I'd be also throwing in Traps here with their Trip Mine that, for some reason, still has a 5.0 Second cast time along with a 0.5 second delay of being active. While the same Power in /Devices comes with 2.7 Second cast time and a 0.8 delay. Both have the same damage values but very different values in their cast time, which should be remedied in Traps to improve its usability. I'd also advocate improving Triage Beacon with more +Regeneration in favor for a slight shorter duration.
