  1. i don’t really think you should focus on increasing the draw as I don’t think anything but a complete revamp will do that. I would suggest they keep focusing on improving it for those who do like and participate in pvp.

  3. Did not mean that in a hostile manner. Was just reiterating what @arcane had mentioned. also it’s very easy to see where the dev team’s focus is. Check the beta discord or ask to be in beta. There are literally hundred of suggestions in the suggestions forums. I doubt we will ever see 5% of them implemented. This in no way means that folks should not continue to make suggestions. As I mentioned theory crafting can be fun. EDIT: I also don’t think you can increase the number of folks who pvp without a larger scale plan other than tweaks. And that plan needs to take into account the opinions of the current pvp community. If you want to improve pvp for the folks already doing that . . . Well the dev team is already doing that. Again see the discord beta channel, where direct feedback with the pvp community to HC is taking place.
  4. I don’t think we should be expecting any major widespread changes anytime soon for pvp or pve. I think the OP and everyone else need to be realistic when making suggestions. The team is nowhere near the size of Paragon Studios. And PS was a small studio to begin with. Expecting ANY large scale of fast changes on Homecoming just isn’t realistic.
  5. As much as my controllers and doms would love this, this would probably be a nonstarter for the pvp community. I’ve read too many times we’re many pvpers hated playing “city of ran out of break frees so you’re a statue now”.

  7. Ehhhh, a discussion just means that: a discussion of ideas. Doesn't mean there is a majority opinion. On a side note, I don't honestly think anything is ever going to happen with Vigilence. But nice to have theorycraft discussions 🙂
  8. The break free idea would be the ONLY thing I would give up the +damage on vigilance for. So let's just say I VEHEMENTLY disagree with this post.

  10. Ehhhh the pvp changes were a lot more complex (and pvp in general) than if defenders level slower. Paragon's point (and one I agree with) is that everyone should be able to level at a reasonable rate when a team is not there. They did not intend to make only support toons. It's why they don't have an AT that does no damage or doesn't have a primary or secondary that does damage, even though it was popular in other mmos before COH. But I'll leave the argument there. Agree to disagree. +Recharge just isn't that impressive to me. If you want to improve the strength of their buffs and debuffs I'd say THAT DIRECTLY focuses more on their role. (But some would say that would be a balance nightmare). I'm fine with any change except replacing the +dmg.
  11. Fine as is: Defenders and Corrupters. Need help: Controllers, Sentinels I don't really think anything over performs.
  12. Ehhhh I pretty much agree with the Devs idea (and based on the ACTUAL data they had, and players don't. Full STOP) that every AT should be able to solo at a reasonable rate when a team is not available. The idea that "defenders didn't need a damage buff" is nice opinion to have, but I'll go with the Paragon Devs, who had actual player data to back up the decision. So we'll have to agree to disagree on that point. I would not mind some of the ideas I've heard so far. I DO NOT agree that the +damage should go in favor of anything else. In that case I would just say keep vigilance as is. EDIT: To be clear think Defenders and Corrupters are in a pretty good place that I would focus dev attention on other ATs that might need some help, like Sentinels.

  14. Yeah I think it was. But yeah realistic with how small the homecoming team is now the likelyhood of ever getting any of these implemented before 2062 is pretty much impossible. This sub form is fun for fantasy brainstorming at least. 🙂
  15. Nope. No downvote. Agreed on keeping the damage buff as is. It was the only reason I could stomach playing defenders back in the day, after they made the change. And no, I'm not going to play a f&^%ing proc monster build. I find those build terrible after trying them. EDIT: Terrible, as in not fun to build or play or to rely on procs for my damage.
  16. QFT for the bolded. They can rebuild Vigilance if they come up with something better. I'd be down and might actually make me want to play Defenders more. (Granted when I want to debuff and buff the shit out of stuff I roll out my defenders). This entire thread is giving me a headache. It's like some folks never heard of primary/secondary. I say again that some folks are playing a different version of COH than the rest of us. lol
  17. Who is this they you’re referring to? Pretty much Vigilence is what it is and don’t see it changing by HC. Part of HC’s philosophy I thought was to stick as close to the original design of the game and make little QOL tweaks along the way. Again I don’t see them changing vigilance. Ever. Cause honestly what would you replace it with?
  18. Was just about to say this. As the year goes on there has been a shit ton of excellent other entertainment coming out. Elden Ring being primary amongst them. There is just so much other non-mmo stuff to do. Also keep in mind that there was Lost Ark, and the FFXIV post expansion raids right before Elden Ring. There is just too much to do right now to expect any game to keep its pop up forever. (And now also Fortnite no build is skyrocketing in popularity).

  21. It's not nonsense. The devs on homecoming have already asked and answered that everything in a pvp zone is part of pvp content.
