  1. You should not mentally have to do that. The game should show you on the ground where it's going to hit. It's been done before in this game. And other modern games like FFXIV and other single player games do that. Or am I misunderstanding and it does show where it's going to hit if it's an AOE? I vaguely thought I remembered this but reading the rest of this thread after my last comment, it's not the mission I first remembered.
  2. Nah it's overtuned if you're having that much trouble with a team. A warning really should be put on it.
  3. I chuckle every time I see the long row of those Leadership icons when I join a PUG. I'm liiiiiikkkeee "Oh okay it's one of THOSE teams. πŸ˜„"
  4. Correct. if this were Live COH that would be one thing. But there are so many flavors of COH out now that across the board sweeping changes just won’t fly in this age. The devs know the majority like the game easy, but are giving those of us who like challenge from time to time options to get that challenge. And rewarding those that take on that challenge. As they add more of this mode to other TFs and new content, we are good to go.
  5. As some one who also farms with everything you just listed, it’s actually much safer also. 😊
  6. But Wavicle, that's the City of Heroes motto. πŸ˜„ "A game full of weird stuff that makes no damn sense." πŸ˜›
  7. I play FFXIV Online for a few months. LOL I slowly on my way back to COH after nearly 6 months of burn out.
  8. LMAOOOOOOO. Oh c'mon. People go there . . . at least once or twice a decade πŸ˜„
  9. I can imagine this being like a FFXIV type encounter, where the boss just spit hella things at you that you have to dodge, split damage on, etc etc. Basically pushing the enveloper. πŸ™‚
  10. Especially with the insane sphagetti and string cheese code this game is built on. I highly agree. As others have said "leave it alone, just give us harder content".
  11. There should be a setting if this is ever implemented that is set to "off" for all. This should be something each players OPTs into. I should not have to click anything if I never even want to see it. I would still only recommend this for TFs/SFs.
  12. Ugh, I wouldn't suggest this for radio missions. I can imagine the list that pops up for some radio teams (where folks come and go at the speed of light) to be 20+ names long in some instances. I would just insta close the window or set a setting to not have it ever pop up (which SHOULD be included if this were implemented). Going through a list of 20+ names, where you may or may not even remember who that person was who was on your team 5-10 radio missions ago? Ain't no body got time for that. πŸ˜›
  13. Also I would rather they do this for the existing empty hazard zones and make them co-op as some one suggested. More bang for the development buck. πŸ™‚ EDIT: Or just outright make new zones.
  14. Which I think is the point for existing zones. The idea was that the devs of Live would have had more content (including higher level zones) that take that level shift into account. The idea was supposed to be you get stronger and progress to new iTrials, iTfs and iZones. For obvious reasons that never happened (aka game shut down before they could get there).
  15. I disagree. If it needs to be unique, let it be unique. They can give Electric another schitck if that is the concern. (And I've never been a fan of single set or single AT gimmicks in the first place.)
  16. Well no as the content they would see that in is optional.
  17. With that said I've read some of the posters here say they prefer the "batman" or "daredevil" template for super heroes versus the "X-Men" or "Superman" template. So yeah I can see how that mission is utterly ridic as you mentioned. With that said I prefer my supers . . . Super. Do I still enjoy batman and daredevil? Sure. But if I'm thinking of a super hero I'm looking for the absolutely ridiculous and fantastical . . . hence why I enjoy X-Men (especially the current iteration) and Superman more.
  18. I like this, but for some reason I read this as Cardigan Advantage at first. πŸ˜›
  19. Well maybe in 2072. . . If we're all still alive and we aren't all avatars in a virtual reality version of City of Heroes . . . being accidentally broadcast in the Italian Senate . . .LOL
  20. If it wasn't by design they never would have even thought of introducing IOs. The adjustments like ED prior were paving the way of this. Let's face it the devs never intended for this to be a hard game. (And yet at the same time maybe not as easy as it's become because of IOs) I always find it funny how a lot of folks focus on Incarnates when we have things like IOs "breaking the game" before the Incarnate system was even an idea on paper.
  21. Fair. Also to be clear, I simply won't run content I consider annoying or terrible. If an enemy group is made more annoying I simply avoid that content. I haven't fought the new Crey in a tf yet, so we'll see. Life is too short and this isn't a decade ago.
  22. I would run the shard tfs if I liked to have my eyes bleed out of their sockets. If there's one thing that needs a straight content re-design it's those, merit rewards being lowered be damned.
  23. When I'm running tfs I don't consider the non-tf rewards aren't all that important. I can get those anywhere else. If I'm doing a tf it's for the merits at end. Those who run kill-alls probably see it differently. It'd be interesting to see the data on the number of kill all tfs, regularly run tfs, or pure speed tfs as a comparison.
  24. This is actually a very good point about why the OPs suggestion would not work. This is not like live, there is no limitation on the number of accounts you can make.
