  1. Thank you Number Six, I may consider that.
  2. On live you could only change your global name once, can we do it more than that on homecoming?
  3. I play a little bit on Everlasting and I give them credit they do have a healthy RP community. If that is not your thing, then another server would probably be a better fit for you.
  4. Welcome back home. Don't worry about being rusty, it's like riding a bike and you will be in comfy mode in no time. There are many good guides and advise posts on these forums which you may want to check out. There are a number of quality of life features that may not have been around on live or things you may have forgot, or never realized they existed. It is wonderful to have the game back, and you will find the community is just as great (if not better) as it was when the game was live.
  5. You should never buy ATO's with merits. 100 merits can be turned into about 22-24 million influence by selling converters on the AH.
  6. Welcome home. I to played from open beta till close and it's great to have the game back. Let's all pray that NCSoft and Homecoming work out a deal that makes it permanent.
  7. Might be getting the cart before the horse here. The situation between NCSoft and Homecoming needs to be resolved first. However there is plenty of president in comics to have a hero return from the dead, so anything is possible. Not sure it would make much difference though. Seems most people don't know much about the game lore now or when the game was live. I know I didn't pay any attention to it.
  8. Well true to your name. I'm not saying this should be their main character to 50, but just one that helps them get familiar with the game.
  9. Welcome to the game. I would suggest Sentinels as a good first character. You can stay at range and have good defense. Once you get more familiar with the game you will likely have a better feel for what you really want to play. Like the rest of us you will probably end up with may alts, so experiment and enjoy.
  10. Devs said 5 every 3 days.
  11. After being teleported in to the hami once, I refuse to accept any league tp in the Hive and only accept it in the Abyss if I trust the person doing it. Teleporting everyone into the GM's never really made sense to me either.
  12. Welcome back, shame it took you a while to find us.
  13. Well it went down pretty fast, are you sure you hit it 😉
  14. First of all, I'm not asking for any change to the current system. As a regular hami raider I'm more merit rich than influence rich. However if there was going to be some direct conversion of merits to influence I would suggest 100,000 per merit. In one way it would be nice to have a quick and consistent way to convert merits, but I suspect this would ruin the enhancement converter market and have other negative effects.
  15. Might be better to have the merit vending machine give you an option to convert to influence.
  16. At the top of your character select screen, there is a button in the middle to transfer. Just like there are buttons to rename or delete a character.
  17. I don't think you need the"em none$$" part. I macro mine and just use "cce # ccemote".
  18. Not sure if there needs to be any major changes to the incarnate system, and it probably wouldn't go over well since the horse is already out of the barn. What we could use is more content geared to challenge incarnates. I don't mean more trials, but maybe a neutral zone for incarnates only, with story arcs and door missions with higher difficulties. I can run door missions in PI with my incarnates at +4/8 solo with no problem. While it is fun considering the effort it takes to get you there, but we really do need more content for incarnates.
  19. Yeah SWTOR does have a similar combat to COH, it's just not a group centered game though. The max team size is 4 and the story nature of it makes it more solo based, which I didn't mind. I did get a Jedi and a Sith to the end where you defeat the Emperor and finished the story arcs for all of the other classes.
  20. I think that one of the reasons red side was more popular on live, is that it was new and shiny at the time. I played COH from launch, so when COV came around I was ready for something different. Played there a lot, but I do enjoy blue side more. You feel more like a hero blue side, than you do a villain red side.
  21. Yeah Sudden Acceleration KB>KD is very handy for those pesky knock back powers. I was once in a group forming a Manticore and saw the leader kick out a stormy for not having the KB>KD. The leader was indignant that the person didn't have it, when it was probably that the player just didn't know about it. Heck the leader could have just hit the AH and got them one to help the player, rather than demean them.
  22. I play both sides, since all my toons are either vigilante or rouge. I do play blue side when creating a new character because it's easier to level up blue side.
  23. Not playing any other games right now, but the old main stays were SWTOR and Fallout 4. Did all the different endings for Fallout 4 and have it heavily modded now.
  24. It is a great way to test a build, or a potential AT and power set combo. You will also want to set up the Freebies Popmenu to make it even easier.
  25. I would also agree with sentinels as the best new player character. You can stay at range with good defense and little team pressure. Tanks, defenders, and masterminds require more finesse to play properly. Once a new person gets comfortable and understands the game mechanics, they would probably have a better handle on what they really want to play.
