  1. No Sonic is very relevant. But I would never play it like this, IMMHO. (Most of the time) If a Sentinel is not in Melee range taking full advantage of the Epic pools high DPA Melee attacks and being in AoE range for the PBAoE Nukes then that Sentinel is being way under utilized. Standing back using very narrow 30 deg cones with very low damage is underwhelming. Sonic Blast is awesome for two things, Screech and Dreadful Wail, the rest can take a back seat. IMMHO. So to each their own. This is my Sonic/Bio which is my most fun Sentinel of about 10. 2. lol FF is not the worst, it is actually really flexible and one only need to take a few powers from the primary. It allows one to put more into the blast set. Sure it has no debuff, but it comes with Status Protection. It's a great set to pair with Soul Drain, which can be made perma. FF allows the user to use soul drain well because of high defenses, and status protection. Or it can be paired with Beam Rifle so one can still buff players (especially squishies, most of which have no DDR so +def is still helpful), offer status protection to teammates and do good debuffs with your Beam Rifle (-regen, -resist, -def). You just have to know how to leverage what is good in sets.
  3. Like ZemX said Rad Melee is much better suited for Brutes because of Irradiated Ground and Fury. You still could do it but you would probably enjoy pairing it with something else more on a Stalker.
  4. And you can't do the same set up for BoS?
  5. IDK for sure, but my Rad/Elec Brute does very well against them. So I would say the answer is probably Elec, Rad, Dark, and then Bio and WP and then the rest
  6. that's what I do on my SD/DM tank, always trying to keep a crowd around me to saturate both shield and soul drain.
  7. Kheldians should be called Held-agains haha. Not to mention how many bad PB players with their wanton KB slowing down teams, limiting a lot of their teammates' buffs and debuffs, limiting AoE potential, etc. Kheldians in all their forms are a shadow of everything they aspire to be, a Tank/Brute, a Scrapper/Stalker, and a Blaster. But we digress... Buff Stalkers lower performing sets is the number one thing that Stalkers need, it the truest sense of the word.
  8. You can punchvoke, it can be enough especially with our typical playstyle.
  9. Sentinels should not have their range extended that doesn't fix them at all. If the range was extended then Sentinels deserve to do even less damage than they already do. Personally I would totally be good with setting their base range at 40' for all powers if it meant that Sentinels got a dmg bump, fixed inherent, etc. But I totally agree with this, "Extending the duration of the stacks to fall off less often probably wouldn't hurt anything"
  10. In our many Runs Linea my SD Tank has been sturdier for 801.D than SR tanks. I don't know about your experience but from what I have seen at the very least SD, Invuln and Granite have outperformed SR on 801.D runs.
  11. I tried playing an MM but it felt like it was playing me. Not my style. As for Doms, I love but they are slightly underpowered. They should have the same base damage modifiers as Blasters do but in Reverse. Current Base Damage Modifier: Blaster (Range/Melee) - 1.125 / 1.00 Dominator (R/M) - 0.95 / 1.05 (So Dominators should be 1.00 / 1.125 And Sentinels need a damage bump and a reworked Inherent
  12. Stalkers are great so you are missing out. For my I have more Blasters then it's Stalkers, Sentinels, Dominators, Brutes, Scrappers, Corruptors, Defenders, Tanks, Controllers, then a Fortunata. 1 MM but I really dislike MMs.
  13. Looking at your build I would never make that. Why not? One I don't like playing Dual Blades (personal tastes), and two I simply wouldn't slot things the way you do. And I have tons of experience and feats and etc with Stalkers. In fact, I said to arcane to hit me up, I would genuinely like to see you in action. I'd love to do a team up. here are some of the Stalkers that I have experience with (50s): DM/Invuln, Psi/Bio, Psi/Rad, Elec/Fire, Rad/SD, EM/Dark, StJ/Invuln, DM/Ice, Ice/Ice, Staff/WP, Staff/Ice, StJ/Ice, Rad/Dark, Ice/Rad, EM/SR, Spine/WP, Savage/Dark, KM/WP, KM/EA, Claws/EA, Elec/Ninja, etc. I've solo'd +4/8 MoITF twice w/o inspirations, once on DM/Invuln and once on Rad/SD. A fun group of people I play with online have done many MoITF challenges, 4-man same AT +4/8 MoITF for time (no deaths/temps/inspirations): 26:18 STALKERS @dayday(StJ/DA) @EV(Fire/SR) @Mr.FUBAR(Psi/Rad) @lucas(Elec/SD) We also have been running the same (as above) but also with players debuffed and enemies buffed. And I'd love to find some fellow Stalkers to do some successful runs with in under 30 mins.
  14. Stalker is my second most played AT. I think Stalkers are fine and the only real need to buff the low hanging fruit sets. And that the Focus mechanic is great but could benefit from improved reliability. I am just curious after all this talk about SwitchFade's Stalker that I want to appreciate it in action.
  15. I mostly agree with you and Oysterhead. And Stalker is my second most played AT. Personally going back to a Stalker must start with AS from Hide (or making AS from Hide so good that you kind of need to do it) is the wrong direction for Stalkers. Fast AS was a fantastic evolution to the power and the AT. I really think that the only things Stalkers NEED (not want) is: *** Buff underperforming sets. Dark Melee has been tweaked nicely, so more of that for other sets. One way to do that is to just bring back some of the AoE to sets like MA, which was already light on AoE in its original Scrapper-form. and as a bonus it would be nice if: The Focus system was more reliable. It's a great idea/mechanic.
  16. Hit me up @Mr.FUBAR on Excel I'd like to see it.
  17. lol, DB is a lower tier set and the combos are better on non-Stalkers Sadly I took the time to make a mids of the build you posted... I don't mean to be harsh but that build is average at best. Your resist numbers other than S/L are woefully lacking, you skipped Disrupt which actually works pretty we at mitigation most of the time, especially when combined with a better set like EM, StJ, etc. to stack stuns. And the Regen was kinda low too. and this "I don't copy and paste mids, we should all have to work it a little to appreciate the intricacies." is so BS.
  18. There is no one best as I think we all know. It comes down to personal preferences and what not. Like for me Savage Melee is very underwhelming as I felt my koll times to be long and I couldn't feel the damage, probably because of all the DoT. I can comment on my own stalkers though and I'll try to keep variety in the sets too *HM=Honorable Mentions Sturdiest > Dark Melee / Invulnerability --- HM > Dark Melee/Shield (I am sensing a pattern here) Hardest Hitting > Energy Melee / Bio --- HM > Psi/ or StJ/ with /Bio or /Shield Best AoE > Electrical Melee / Shield --- HM > Elec/, Staff/, Radiation/, Savage/ and /Shield, /Radiation, /Fire Funnest? ...well that's up to you My personal axioms on Stalkers: Shield > SR SR is mostly a one trick pony (defense) but typically allows for more varied power pool choices Psi Melee doesn't have a problem in the End Game, it still hits hard, kills fast, and Mass Levitate is good at mitigation Some people like Savage Melee a lot, I am not one of them...yet?...ever? Ninjitsu is better on Scrappers Claws is better on Scrappers Radiation Melee is better on Brutes Stalkers Should have War Mace and Battle Axe Favorite Melee Sets: Dark/, Psi/, Energy/, StJ/, Elec/ Favorite Armor Sets: /Bio, /Invuln, /EA, /Radiation, /WP, /Dark
  19. Yeah I have a DP/Temp and it's a great Blapper. For farming tho if I run a blaster it's my Fire/Mental/Fire
  20. What's more is that IMO Scrapper's and Sentinel's Ninjitsu > Stalker's Ninjitsu. That's another slap in the face. Stalker's Ninjitsu should be updated last year already. Drop Smoke Flash for Bo Ryaku and add the movement buff from Shinobi-Iri to Bo Ryaku as well.
  21. Haha yeah, for me MM is my biggest nightmare to play. And those pets on +4/8, Good Luck, especially the minions spawning at 48+1 (they are nigh useless IMO). But given that other ATs do it as well, it's nothing special that Stalkers can. A buddy just did it with a Illusion/Storm last week. For me that is also a nightmare. Anyhow when I do it again it will not be on a tank or stalker. 😜
  22. Just saying, your first post stated: Anyhow, yeah fixing older sets would be AWESOME. I don't think Stalkers need a buff, but if the quick AS could be made more reliable that would be AWSEOME! For instance I'd love to see MA get Dragon's Tail.
  23. I agree. Also I've done a solo MoITF +4/8 twice w/o inspirations on Stalkers. Once with DM/Invuln and once with Rad/SD. But it's easier on other ATs like Brutes and Blasters and they have much better times too. Actually my Stalkers are about the same speed as my Tanks (SD/DM and Bio/TW). So yeah if someone would choose to do a solo MoITF they would most likely not choose to do it on a stalker.
  24. Nice post. I'll have to take a look at those builds. Hopefully I'll have constructive input later. side note I have like 10 level 50 Stalkers and the toughest of the bunch is DM/Invuln, surprised right? But I think it may be the best for 801 with Ageless Radial. The +tohit is nice and Invuln gets pretty great Resist and Defense numbers. Aside from that I would think that Shield and EA maybe the best performers for 801. Rad and Elec if you have defense buffers on the team. Anyhow I look forward to taking a closer look.
