I like Psi melee because I think it performs well, it's also a good DMG type to mix on a team for things like brickernauts, cyclops, hero one, etc.
Stone is solid, HP cap, high defense including psi, a smidge of bonus dmg , +rech, etc.
For me I find Stone to be a strong set. It's like a much better Ice Armor that is better than EA. Very satisfying.
I made two Stone Scrappers
* Psi/Stone
*TW/Stone
I play the Psi/Stone as one of my top two Scrappers. The other one is TW/Bio.
Other Scrappers that have taken a back seat, DM/SD, WM/SD, TW/SR, Claws/Bio, EM/Bio, Psi/Ninja, KM/Rad,
Huh, it seems like that echo is very faint. Most say skip. And if I had room for one I'd rather take the gun drone. Cutting beam is one wants to minimize their build not max it out 😂
Depends on my tank, and I pick my tank based on the team and task.
Taunt is not an absolute. There are also too many tanks that spend too much time taunting and not fighting and they are still bad at herding
I would take Stone Armor over EA now-a-days. Some is better all around with better defensive numbers and psi defense and his the HP cap
In most cases I would also take Shield over SR. In my experience it's sturdier plus you get +DMG. SR gives more n freedom for creative builds.
Never take Ninja on a stalker, pure tin foil armor.
There are many good possible combinations for this. If I could be picky I'd like to try one like this:
1) DP/Kinetics
2) Fire/TA
3) Elec/Elec
4) Psi/Dark

ummm no, not true. You can do what ever kind of test you want pylons, solo a TF (ITF, TinPex, etc), solo an 801 in AE, etc. Fire will still be tier 1 and Sonic tier last.
The point is they are awkward. If you have to rely on being in melee range for damage then narrow cones suck even more. It the build fighting with itself.
In order to play Sonic Blast one must rely on your secondary power set, or team.
The problem with relying on your own secondary set powers is the two non-nuke AoEs are narrowish come attacks while the best damaging secondary attacks are going to be melee attacks. This is why Sonic/Dark is a frontrunner for worst blaster combo.
The second requires relying on your team because Sonic doesn't do so well by itself. Let's hope that you are not the last man standing with your team hoping that you can cut down a Redwood with a vegetable/fruit peeler.
Sonic is best on a defender or sentinel. But if all forms of Screech also got the Sentinel version then Sonic would be a descent option.
So for blasters all you want is the T1 or T2 + Aim + Nuke
