  1. This is an interesting question, because when I look at a secondary I often think I want to try DP with that... So what secondaries make the best case? Top Recommendations: Atomic - Beta Decay + Accelerated Metabolism work amazing will with DP providing a lot of +recharge, -Defense and -tohit. Works well with DP paying will in the center of the action. Darkness - Soul Drain... 'nuff said Earth - Adds great ST damage, plus damage aura with a slow, and added accuracy. Martial Combat - adds a lot of flare to DP. Nothing is more styling than DP/MC. Plus the powers like Burst of Speed and Eagle's Claw are perfect additions. Very free flowing without BU or Aim Mental - Mental is great for the big -Regen debuff and that it puts you in the right position to fully capitalize on DP, right in the middle for Drain Psyche and Psychic Shockwave. Ninja Training - a close second to MC for style. And also like MC, it is very free flowing without BU or Aim. Shinobi adds a reliable first strike damage bonus plus a change for Critical Hit damage bonus on all a. Shinobi allowed provides stealth which helps you get into the right position for that first strike (use with Super Speed or stealth IO), along with a small defense bonus. Ninja also provides great attacks and other utility. Tactical Arrow - TA provides added accuracy, recharge, movement, small defense bonus and Knock back Protection. Hit BU + Oil Slick + HoB (with for ammo) and Boom! Temporal - This is strong combo as Temporal is with everything. Temporal adds +recharge, some stun protection, slow resist, and more. Plus this set of one of the best blapper sets. And maybe... Ice - Ice would work too with its Sustain Aura that does -recharge, slow movement and -DMG. Which may stack in interesting ways with Cryo or Chemical rounds. And Frozen Aura is a nice PBAoE. But what do you think? Yay or nay n Devices?
  2. No procs for DP, low recharge, flying... Sorry but you lost me... Edit... Wait NO Miracle or Numina Proc AND NO End Mod in the Reaction Time, Stamina or Alpha. There is no way you are soloing +4/8 content, you simply do not have the Endurance to take out a hard target or mob after mob. Even if you don't turn on Sprint, Tough, and/or Fly.

  5. Electric is fine for theme, but something has to be the bottom of the barrel. I would put the Regen in grounded and up the heal to Fire Armor lvls. And update the T9 to add an absorption shield and Regen. Or how about change Energize into something like Fiery Embrace and change Power Sink into Power Transfer where it works like Drain Psyche. And then tweak the T9 because it's pretty pointless. Anyhow something needs to be done.
  6. Of course Dark and Water Blast instantly come to mind. Both for the self heal and their utility I'm sure you can fit in aid self our or unrelenting for a heal and go with anything. Beam, Rad, Sonic, Dual Pistol, etc. which also provide added utility for the team.
  7. Poison isn't the most solo friendly as it lacks a self heal. The question is do you want to solo +4? AVs? Etc. Because that may impact your choices. For status protection and defense you can go FF or Traps. Like FF/Dark or FF/Water. speaking of water, a Water/Storm is a fun and powerful combo. I think Dark Miasma is a solid solo set. I personally have a Dark/Fire that solos extremely well. Pain does well too IMO, speaking from experience with a Pain/Psi. Other sets that I would consider are Time, Nature and Rad.

    Cowboy Theme

Well it depends on how far you want to go to fit your concept... Cross Punch is a step down for blasters from its own secondary melee attacks. If you can ignore the targeting done, since you can turn off the invisible effect from the cloak, then Devices might be good. Otherwise I agree that Temporal is your best bet
  9. Time Manipulation works with Seismic, with a gravity theme. Radiation Emission, Dark, Kinetics or Force Fields with a cosmic or physics theme, especially with attacks like Meteors
  10. Shockwave, perhaps... Siren's Song, absolutely... Scream + Shriek, not necessary
  11. Your not far in, there's still time to change that combo. Symph/Sonic aren't great together. Just saying... You'd be much much better off with /Dark or /Fire
  12. For Cone Heaven I would suggest Sonic/TA. Sonic Blast alone with 3 cones and the add two Target/Location AoEs with Glue Arrow and Oil Slick, and then add another with Bonfire KB>KD... There is an AoE dream.
  13. The update to Sonic greatly improves the set. It now performs well in it's own right not just as a multiplier when on a big team. Personally I have a Sonic/Mental that works out for me to be a killer combo.
  14. Well it's based on a variety of things including origin story and gameplay in addition to its beastliness. But my numero uno is Psychic/Martial. Other non-repeating combo favorites are (all Blappers) : Fire/Temporal (it's a timeless combo) Water/Energy (only taking Whirlpool, Dehydrate, Geyser, and Tidal Forces from Water Blast, add to that Perma Power Boost...) Sonic/Mental (new Sonic makes this one even better, especially as my debuffer) Elec/Earth (great AoE and great ST)
  15. That DP/Dark blaster is a terror. I'd say it's my number two or three out of my 30 blasters...
  16. Yes, it does not have to be in an active power
  17. Personally I hate rains because they disperse mobs and make clean up take longer. They tend to prolong things rather than help. That's not always the way I slot Burst of Speed but I went with it this time. I just wanted the bonuses and BoS needed the damage and recharge, so it was a marriage of convenience. And yes the proc is inconsequential. And it's true I often have 5 Avalanche plus another proc, or three of the pvp set with its proc and say Eradication with it's proc or something... So feel free to play around with slotting And I rotate between RoP and melee hybrid so I don't even really need Inner Will. I often run +4/8 TFs (w/o temps, inspirations, deaths) with just one or two other squishy players (like a blaster duo), so you could tone down some of that defense minded stuff if you don't need it and want to tune up even more damage.
  18. Sometimes it's min/max that does it, and sometimes it's the concept that pushes things over the top. So I suppose the key is finding both in one... Here are some of my Personal Hall of Fame/Fun Blaster: Psi/Martial Original origin story. Also, just an awesome combo. Superior movement, stacking stuns, lots of damage, etc. Blaster: DP/Temporal and DP/Dark DP is flashy and satisfying. The first is inspired by Judge Dredd, the other is just a min/maxed own original concept. Both are excellent. Stalker: Energy/SD SD is a fun set that looks and plays great. Energy/SD combo is wonderfully satisfying and effective combo. Tank: Bio/SS/Dark This tank has a special build and nothing smashes better that this combo (twin Tank +4/8 Duo MoITF in 31 mins, first and only try) . Plus I enjoy Bio Armor a lot with at least 15 Bio Armor characters. Scrapper: TW/Bio It's TW/Bio, love it or hate it. I lean towards the former. Spin me right round baby like a record baby.
  19. Style may take priority over sense/effectiveness but that does not mean that your character will triumph 😋 Also Martial packs a huge punch, or kick... I can come in under two minutes on a Pylon and "speed" Duo a +4/8 ITF w/o inspirations or temps or deaths in 45 mins or so with the same build
  20. Lol, it was me =D In explanation, IMO those cones are narrow at the standard 30° and Psychic Scream (PoS, err... PS) should be avoided. PS should slow your enemies but in action it slows yourself down with nearly 3 seconds of cast time. What's more, it puts you out of place from using better more vital powers.
  21. IDK it's a rare occasion when I make a build as a Corr and a Def, and choose Defender (which out of say 100+ 50s I have 4). Of course I am more offensively minded. @Voltak do you have defender that clears the trap door faster than the same Corr?
