  1. I agree. It is pretty much in-your-face obvious that is what they are going for. But at least to me, that is not the Federation or Starfleet as Roddenberry envisioned. By the 25th century, humanity has moved beyond that. Every time this trope has come up on Trek over the years, it has turned out to be some rogue element and any loss of faith in Starfleet or the Federation was restored.
  2. Increasing the aggro cap will not alleviate this. I cannot speak for everyone, however my /SR scrapper I was running last night was not getting hit in any of the missions I was playing. It would not matter if the aggro cap was 10 or 20 or 100. She still would not be getting hit often enough to make a difference. Any tanker worth their salt is going to have similar results.
  3. The suggested change does not solve this "problem." It just makes the (same) outcome come quicker/more efficiently.
  4. That's fair. Just seems to me it is much more overt in modern incarnations than it was back then. I am really not digging how the Federation and Starleet are portrayed on Picard.
  5. Totally agreed. How the Federation is behaving on Picard is truly jarring to me. Trek has been in slow decline since Roddenberry died IMO.
  6. Indeed it is. Look up the videos @Dacy put together and has linked here in the Base Building forums. You can build above the base, essentially making it outside. You could also get away with hiding walls behind trees and other fauna, but to me it is much less work to build above the base. Here is a screencap of a base I just finished. It is in a forest and is done above the base.
  7. ^ Sums up the issue quite perfectly.
  8. That is not really why Regen was nerfed, nor was IH being a toggle what overpowered it. Regen being an issue in PvP was more due to perma MoG than IH being overpowered. Prior to ED, you could 6 slot all heals and with the ability to stack Dull Pain, you were essentially unkillable. We had a Spines/Regen scrapper back in the day who would tank Hami for us. What most fail to mention is that in building this way, your offense was next to nothing. At this point, as much as I would like to see IH turned back into a toggle, I have to agree with those who suggest rolling /WP instead.
  9. Just about finished with adding the last little bits of dressing here and there, but essentially done. More photos in the Dojo photo gallery. Concept is a pagoda nestled in the woods next to a lake. Boats are used as the transport hub to all zones. Workshop is an outdoor forge and hospital facilities are inside the pagoda. There is also a cemetery for the fallen members of the Dojo order. Feel free to drop by and check it out. This is on Torchbearer server. Dojo of the Crimson Dragon - OHAYO-7077
  10. Bless you kind soul.
  11. Not if you pair it with /SR 😁
  12. Was it cancelled? I had thought it was always meant to run 3 seasons and then done.
  13. By chance are you setting the placement to "surface"? I have seen this happen from time to time and was able to work around it by changing the placement to "floor" and them moving it into place - unless you are working in a doorway as @Dacy mentioned. The editor seems to struggle with that.
  14. From my perspective, this is completely and utterly untrue. Supergroups are about people who like to group together. Having to recruit random prestige mules so you could afford to buy a desk for your base totally detracted from that. There is nothing whatsoever preventing anyone from joining a group here - not having prestige is not a barrier to entry. What we have now is infinitely better than what we had on live. Hard as possible no from me on this too.
  15. Sure but that was then and the circumstances are a little different today. The threat of a cease and desist from the owner is the big cloud hanging over the game right now. Personally I think that is a legitimate concern for some to have. I tend to agree with you on the rest, however I can understand and empathize with those who have concerns about legality are coming from.
  16. Clearly. Going to go out on a limb here and say no one has suggested this is not a large amount of work, not a simple thing to implement and is most likely a feature that would be far off, if ever. With that said, perhaps read what @gameboy1234 posted above and let it sink in for a bit.
  17. Alternatively, make an account based inventory feature like most every other MMO on the market now currently has.
  18. I play Minecraft with the kids and will be heading back to Star Trek Online for the 10th Anniversary stuff.
  19. Servers might be but the people running the pirated software on them are not unless you are suggesting they all up and move to Russia or wherever too. Just my own opinion here - I think it a far, far better solution to focus on becoming legally legitimate than worrying about having to constantly look over ones should and move around to "avoid the law". I would much prefer knowing that the game will be here tomorrow, the next day and years from now.
  20. I have loved Stargate since the original film. I would have loved to have seen where the writers were going with the story on SGU. Sadly, we will never know. I can see how changing the (successful) formula up did the show in.
  21. Cease and desist letters do not cost a fortune.
  22. Posting this here and driving even more traffic to his channel seems counterproductive to me.
  23. The code being in the wild does not mean NCSoft cannot shut the game down wherever it may crop up should they choose to do so. Once word is out, hosting providers may not even allow it to be run on their servers. Until the game gets an official legal blessing from the owner, it is in danger. I tend to agree the main focus should be on getting legal permission before looking to anything else.
  24. I have seen it on rare occasions where there is no aggro management. I seem to remember him doing this when the game was live though.
