Bloody Rainbow Comic Con Fire Farm Update
ShardWarrior replied to brigg's topic in General Discussion
I'm going to guess that a single account reporting an arc repeatedly isn't going to issue an auto-ban. I would imagine it requires quite a lot of different reports from a lot of different accounts to fire it off. -
Bloody Rainbow Comic Con Fire Farm Update
ShardWarrior replied to brigg's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for the update! I believe everyone figured this would happen. Question about this though... I had thought it was said in the official CoC update thread that bans were not automatic as in a human had to review and make the final determination before any action was taken? I'm assuming this is only for AE content and not individual players? Not at all trying to be a pest, just asking for clarification on that. Thanks! 😀 -
Not sure Dull Pain needs to be made auto It does what its supposed to do in that it provides the +HP buff to help with huge hits/alphas. Perhaps for tanks it should be an auto power. I think its fine as is for scrappers and brutes.

Yes, I used to be able to do the same - but high Regen was not the reason. My PvP build had adequate perception so I could see Stalkers coming from a mile away negating their use of Hide/AS. Outside of that, they didn't have sufficient damage to overwhelm my Regen. Sounds to me like that's working as intended or more likely those others needed to work on their builds and teamwork a little more. Neither of which meant Regen was "broken" in PvP. You're also confirming what I said - Regen doesn't help against huge alphas or spike damage. Had those stalkers worked together, you'd have been 2 shot easily. Completely different story if they can't hit you at all through perma MoG, which was broken. I've seen many a Regen player go up against /RADs, /DARKs, /POISONs etc. with -RES and -REGEN debuffs up the kazoo and they got obliterated.

I think it safe to say most all sets have holes that need fixing and that's by design. It's more a question of what it will take to get them patched up and how much an investment a player is willing to make. There is a big difference between fully pimping out a character with purple IO sets than it is picking a pool power or two to put something at cap. I had a Dark/Dark back in the day and didn't care for it at all - hated it in fact.... until I was able to spend ludicrous sums of inf to purple it out as you have suggested. Dark always suffered from the lack of KB protection/resistance IMO. Never quite understood why this set was designed that way.

Personally, I would just turn IH back into a toggle.

Out of curiosity did you read the rest of the thread?

Make Superdyne/Fixadyne a Purchasable Temp Power
ShardWarrior replied to Murcielago's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The Freakshow disguise temp costume would be fun to have permanent too! -
Yes you have to be on Everlasting server in order to access this base. Which server are you trying to use it from?
-
As I understood it - I believe from a livestream Leandro did - it is technically feasible to do this. It would be very cool if we could use something like the AE character creator to design NPCs to populate in the base.
-
Would be sweet if we had different bots to choose from too. Like adding Cyborgs or robotic animals or flying drones and such.
-
Not quite sure I understand where you are having difficulty in understanding this? "Don't let it bother you" is not "here's a tissue and a hug, let's have a good cry together". It's more an "I understand you're upset and would like to help. Here is something to try - maybe it will help you prevent being bothered by this kind of thing again." Does that work or does it need to be explained yet again?
-
At this point, let's agree to disagree. It's none of those things you've said here as I've explained already - repeatedly - no matter what words you try to interject into it. If you like, I can provide some examples of what a non-helpful, non empathetic and dismissive response is. You seem to be going to great lengths to try and jump through a myriad of hoops to try and add some contrary, negative meanings to my intent. I can assure you, you're way, way, way off base. You're not even remotely close. What you and others are failing to understand is your reaction is part of the issue for you. As I explained, not letting it bother you is something that can be learned over time and assuming the person wants to try. If they don't want to or simply can't do it no matter what, more power to them. I also stated this works for me, works for most people I know and is perhaps something someone may want to try and see if it works for them. If it doesn't then no harm, no foul. Never once did I say what works for me is an incontrovertible, irrefutable, absolute truth for everyone. That's just plain nonsense. It's simple advice for something to try. That's all. It's just a suggestion for something to try to help another person feel better. If you feel it is dismissive, non empathetic or whatever, then so bet it. Just understand that isn't the intent. At all.

Based on what we have been told by the Homecoming folk, the plan is to keep the game donation based only.
-
Based on what? As for the suggestion, if I am understanding it properly - no.
-
Instant Healing doesn't help against alphas or huge spike damage. What was broken with Regen in PvP was perma MoG - and even that wasn't unbeatable.
-
Not everyone perceived it that way though.
-
Well, they added this to their rules and I'm sure they realized what the consequences of that decision are. I'm fairly sure they don't have a "don't bother us" policy either. There is no harm in asking the decision makers since it is up to them.
-
Alternatively, let the Homecoming folk decide what is or is not acceptable in this case? Diverging this thread into (yet another) discussion on what we think is ok or not is irrelevant. We aren't the final decision makers. If in doubt, as the Homecoming folk for clarification - they have final say.
-
Just my 2 inf, but this mission arc stinks regardless of what character you play it on.
-
Same here!
-
Hmmm... I could swear that one is in the base editor. EDIT: NVM... you're correct - there used to be a lot more of these.
-
Saying don't let something bother you is not dismissive or telling someone to be a robot. Trying to attribute that meaning to the statement is incorrect. Quite clear just by reading it. "Don't let it bother you" already acknowledges that something did bother someone. All that was suggested is that if it does bother you, take a step back for a minute and take a deep breath and think about whether or not you want the words of some unknown person on the internet with who you have no personal connection and is of no importance to you to bother you. Take some time, do some self analysis and practice. If you don't want the chat of some idiot who you have no personal connection to on the internet to bother you, eventually it won't.
-
I think it more helpful to clarify what can and cannot be done versus telling others they can't do it, especially since there is no concrete list of what is or is not allowed in place. From what we learned in the CoC update thread, there is nothing wrong with "inspired by" themes so long as the names are not direct copies of trademarked names and costumes are sufficiently different. As an example, a fairy with blue or pink costume and red hair named something other than Tinkerbell is perfectly fine. If in doubt, contact a GM or CR Rep here on the forums and I'm certain they will be happy to help you and answer any questions. Your idea sounds very cool! Just change the names to something non-trademarked and alter the costumes up a bit.
