  1. You're very welcome. Please enjoy!
  2. Only if you ignore it requires using one of your limited pool selections.
  3. No worries! 😀
  4. My reply there had to do with offensively named characters, not any potential cosplays. Two different things here.
  5. This and then some lol. And we all know how well ED went over...
  6. They did say "as it was on live", which as I remember all it meant was you got a free character rename and costume token. Supposedly you only got banned for being a repeat offender, although I don't know anyone who ever was banned for it.
  7. Thor being super strong and tough wielding a hammer named Mjolnir is part of the mythology too. Making him look like he does in Marvel would be the no-no.
  8. Fair enough. I have to say, I certainly wouldn't want to have to be in their shoes. I imagine they are about to get swamped with reports. Also wanted to ask - is it ok to report ourselves for review? Or is that not cool as I'm sure these reports are going to flood their inboxes.
  9. That's going to be up to the HC folk should it get reported to them.
  10. Personally, I don't disagree with the idea. However, I think it opens up the HC folk to a whole can of worms they would rather not get into. I can only imagine the myriad of forum posts, emails, in game tickets and such demanding to know why one thing is allowed whereas another isn't.
  11. I don't believe that is correct. The name is an important part of the overall likeness of the character, so it is not going to be fair game under trademark protection. Marvel and DC share "ownership" of the word "superhero". Chances are very, very high names are off the table too. This topic reminds me of this - anyone remember this? 🙂
  12. One of the greatest Americans in fact!
  13. I see what you did there. 🙂
  14. Indeed! @GM Capocollo or @GM Widower - might we please ask if/how are parodies covered in this policy? Thank you.
  15. Thor isn't a very good example because he is more an exception than the general rule in that his name cannot be copyrighted. More often than not though, character names are copyrighted material. For certain a character named Captain America, regardless of costume, bio and power selections is going to get renamed.
  16. Some of these carry much more weight than others though. Quite clear direct names and likeness copies are out.
  17. I had asked about this earlier if there were a way we could submit our own accounts for review somehow. Personally, I'd rather not clog up the ticket system with un-necessary reports.
  18. This happens all over the internet and is indicative of how nameless, faceless communication over social media is not always a good thing. I would wager most all the people who throw forum tantrums wouldn't say half of what they say were they talking to a real person face to face.
  19. To be honest, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just about every comic publisher has speedsters of some kind, so powerset selections alone really can't be much of a criteria, if at all. Direct name copies and costumes are going to be the sticklers from the sound of it.
  20. That's basically what the original Devs did and why so many powers share the same animations and such.
  21. LOL! I didn't mean anyone was psychic. 😛 I'm fairly certain I've seen GMs in AP when there were CCs that had a few of these questionable characters participating. Maybe they didn't see them. I just find it hard to imagine that they were never reported by at least one person in the months they've been tooling around the game. Thanks for the reply though 🙂
  22. Please leave politics off the forums.
  23. YES, GENESIS! How can you be deaf with ears like that? Love that movie! 😀
