  1. I'm hoping for clones myself. 😀
  2. Thanks! Looking forward to trying it all out.
  3. I didn't suggest it was. If that's what you thought, then apologies. It wasn't my intent.
  4. I understand you don't have the relevant legal expertise. I don't expect you to and neither do I have any. I also completely agree all our opinions are irrelevant to what HC decides what policy is best for them to enact. I've no objection to any of that at all. I'm simply trying to engage in discussion, not with the intent to call you a hypocrite or to change your opinion on anything. I'm simply curious whether you consider people cosplaying at conventions are "ripping off" the IP owners and are doing something "wrong."
  5. I already said I asked out of curiosity for discussion. You had equated this to "rip offs" and being "wrong" and I was just curious where you draw the line? Seems to me based on that criteria, anyone attending a Comic Con dressed up as a trademarked/copyrighted character is "ripping off" the owner too. So I asked, do you consider cosplayers at conventions are breaking the law?
  6. If I am understanding the suggested change, it offers some flexibility to those who feel they need to take Hasten by shifting some of the recharge to swift while making Hasten itself "less OP". Seems to me the majority are going to take it regardless, so I don't see the benefit.
  7. I don't disagree with anything you said and this is a great answer to a question I didn't ask. Comic Cons today don't ban costumes, so are the people attending who craft their own costumes and cosplaying themselves as copyrighted characters breaking the law?
  8. Even in the current form Hasten isn't a hard requirement - your powers will work without it so in that respect it isn't "needed". While the proposed change would help with those looking for some recharge boost, the min-maxers will still take Hasten regardless.
  9. Yikes! Can you please clarify? I have a few friends with cosplays that I just gave a heads up to that the CoC changed to let them know to update anything that might be questionable. Hope it's ok to do that?
  10. Man that would really suck if you died by accident though! 😀
  11. Do you have some ideas of what you would be looking for?
  12. Just a side question out of curiosity - do you consider people who make their own costumes to dress up for comic cons and run around professing to be Superman or Batman or Captain America are breaking the law?
  13. But even with this and following the logic offered for this change, Hasten is still "OP" in that people with it will still recharge faster and perform better than those who didn't take it. It's still a single power offering a huge benefit. Even 20-30% recharge is a big deal. The majority take it now because the majority are looking for maximum recharge time. Whether Hasten does 70% or 5%, if it will get them to the max recharge, the majority will still take it.
  14. They did address this. They posted they have an internal database to handle this.
  15. The GMs addressed this earlier in the thread. Send them a note and they'll discuss with you.
  16. Potentially nothing will change? More like a certainty nothing will change. People want the recharge whether they have to take Hasten or slot swift and hasten. So to put in all of the work to change it even though the majority of people are still going to take it? That doesn't seem to solve anything.
  17. That's not how I remember it. I want to say this came up as a side discussion about AE arcs back in the day. NCSoft owned everything including what was put into the AE. Not 100% sure but this is what I recall of it anyway.
  18. It's fine but it seems like it is work just for the sake of work when the net result is the same.
  19. Same here. I renamed and retooled my homages last night. I do feel bad for whomever gets to field all these reports though.
  20. More than apparent ED didn't make the game more "fun" for the droves of players they lost when it hit. IOs were put in to try and undo that damage in my opinion.
  21. And who are you or any of us to judge what is "creative"? How about letting others design what they want and have fun the way they want and you worry about you?
  22. The very companies you are holding up on a pedestal as pillars of creativity and originality are perhaps the most flagrant ripoff artists themselves. Where do we even begin listing them? Just to name a few from a rather lengthy list.... Green Arrow vs Hawkeye Namor vs Aquaman Brainiac vs Ultron Superman vs Sentry or Gladiator or Hyperion Catwoman vs Black Cat Elongated Man vs Mister Fantastic Deadpool vs Deathstroke Swamp Thing vs Man Thing Ant-Man vs The Atom Red Lion vs Black Panther Wasp vs Bumblebee Thanos vs Darkseid
  23. True, but slippery slope there and I am thinking this is going to get the generic bat regardless.
  24. Name is key part of trademark and likeness though.
