Hmmm... I could swear that one is in the base editor. EDIT: NVM... you're correct - there used to be a lot more of these.

Saying don't let something bother you is not dismissive or telling someone to be a robot. Trying to attribute that meaning to the statement is incorrect. Quite clear just by reading it. "Don't let it bother you" already acknowledges that something did bother someone. All that was suggested is that if it does bother you, take a step back for a minute and take a deep breath and think about whether or not you want the words of some unknown person on the internet with who you have no personal connection and is of no importance to you to bother you. Take some time, do some self analysis and practice. If you don't want the chat of some idiot who you have no personal connection to on the internet to bother you, eventually it won't.

I think it more helpful to clarify what can and cannot be done versus telling others they can't do it, especially since there is no concrete list of what is or is not allowed in place. From what we learned in the CoC update thread, there is nothing wrong with "inspired by" themes so long as the names are not direct copies of trademarked names and costumes are sufficiently different. As an example, a fairy with blue or pink costume and red hair named something other than Tinkerbell is perfectly fine. If in doubt, contact a GM or CR Rep here on the forums and I'm certain they will be happy to help you and answer any questions. Your idea sounds very cool! Just change the names to something non-trademarked and alter the costumes up a bit.

Official 'enterbasefrompasscode' Resolution thread

@CR Miss@CR Tempest@GM Widowermight be best to just close out this thread at this point as it's gone far off the rails. -
Just my personal experience here - Regen is popular because it allows you to forget about END issues. Once you take and slot QR (and stamina), you never have to worry about running out of endurance. WP and BIO are much better options IMO. Regen was over-nerfed back in the day. It did need some fine tuning, however the old Devs got carried away in my opinion.

@Flashtoothere are definitely pillar footings in the base editor. The CoT version and tech versions are there. Roman pillars have bases and tops too.

Official 'enterbasefrompasscode' Resolution thread
ShardWarrior replied to Cinderwalker's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Ok and the Devs provided (repeatedly) the reasons why this is going away and that PvP isn't the sole reason this is getting removed. Travel suppression has nothing to do with any of it and quite clear removing the command is not a nerf to anything as it's a GM only command. We're not meant to have it in the first place. Not sure anyone is suggesting the slashcommand should be kept. The thread should be for discussing ideas for what to replace it with IMO. -

What does travel suppression have to do with a replacement for the enterbasefrompasscode command? Again, please - if you would to discuss PvP related topics, please make a separate thread so this one can remain on topic. -

Might I suggest making a separate thread for discussing PvP? All of the discussion about it here is detracting from the topic at hand and I would hope that focus can remain on the topic at hand. -

I think the discussions about what did or did not get nerfed because of PvP is irrelevant to the topic. You don't have to like PvP to understand that having the existing slash command available is being exploited in PvP and it is taking away from the enjoyment of some, so it absolutely needs to be addressed. Asking to remove PvP is unproductive because it isn't going to happen, nor should it. Just like many other aspects of the game, if you don't enjoy it, don't do it. I personally don't care for PvP at all, never really participate in it and don't intend to. With that said, I most certainly do not want to have an exploit like this available that takes away from the enjoyment of those who like PvP. It's not fair to them. Let's please try to stick to the topic at hand. Perhaps start another thread if you would like to discuss something other than ideas for replacing the base slash command. -
Small suggestion: No more nerf herding threads

We also shouldn't need to be attacked for disagreeing with the ideas being made in these these posts. Being told to "just go away" because you disagree with the idea being presented shouldn't be allowed in my opinion. For what it's worth, there seems to be a very pervasive attitude on these forums by several posters who only want to have people reply who agree with their idea and a concerted effort to silence or shame those who do not. That's just my perspective and is not representative of everyone on here. -
Isn't that essentially what I was saying with my post? "Learning to eventually not be bothered" sort of addresses you'll be affected the first time around.
-
Correct. And in choosing what to react to, you can learn to eventually not be bothered by those same things any more.
-
I like this idea! 😀

Unlikely is not the same as impossible. Mistakes can and would be made. Besides, anyone can already use basically all the functional items in a bases that are open to the public now. Only exceptions are non-personal storage items. Even the personal salvage vault will work for a player and allow them access to their inventory in any open base. I can see the idea of wanting inter-base teleport points being permission based. But even then, I'm not sure why one would want to have a "public-only" area in a base. Seems to me those sharing codes want to share access to the whole thing.
-
I don't know that you would want a "public option". Or would you like for people to be able to go from base to base "raiding the pantries"? No need to use the AH anymore, just base hop and find what you need in someone elses cabinet.
-
And one important thing in my opinion is that with the tools available today, it is abundantly clear not everyone should be able to reach millions of people instantly.
-
Same. I've re-created what I had back in the day. No interest in doing it all over again a third time.
