  1. I have not really decided yet. I was not looking to do anything crazy as this is just for a personal alt SG of mine. The theme is very simple. I will post some shots of it when I figure out what to do. Hmmm... I had not thought about using staircases. That might work well enough - I will give that a try and see. Thanks @Dacy and @MyriVerse!
  2. I never inferred anything of the sort one way or the other. Even if it were, that does not mean that the law is written and applied to always render verdicts in favor of those with more money. Sometimes there truly is no case. I understand that people want to "root for the little guy" and decry the evil corporation.
  3. I am confused - you seem to not want to play with anyone who is PLed but do not want to /ignore them which means you are opening up yourself to being teamed with PLed people.
  4. I have to agree that I do not see this ever becoming a reality.
  5. Sure it does. It shows the case was dismissed because it was a non-starter. If there were a case, it would not have been dismissed. I find it very unlikely that an indy game no one ever heard of before was plagarized for a TV show. You are assuming that the game was an original concept. I will try to locate the thread (which has since been closed) on the STO forums where several posters linked to other sci fi works - pre-dating anything that indy game developer did - that include interstellar travel using tardigrades, mycelial networks and the like.
  6. Oh do not get me wrong, it pains me to think about how much fun my EM tank was prior to all the nerfs. EM definitely does suffer from the long animations more than other sets and I say this just having recently leveled a Kinetic Melee scrapper to 50.
  7. This is not exclusive to EM. Kinetic Melee, Eagle's Claw come to mind right away and this can happen with just about any power.
  8. I am not sold that adding +5 or higher is the answer. Given how the game works, anything higher than +6 chances are you will never be able to hit it, let alone cause any damage. Seems to me this is leading more toward a stalemate than anything else. I cannot speak for anyone else, but most all of my fully decked out characters will solo bosses and EBs rather easily whether there is one or ten of them. Adding more HP and ludicrous spike damage to NPCs is the easy answer, but to me this is not adding challenge, just drawing out the battle. Were I a real choice, I would choose a more intelligent AI that can adapt to you.
  9. You do realize how absurdly easy it is to quickly out level and therefore never be sent to the Hollows, right?
  10. I just leveled my KM/Nin scrapper to 50 and I am having a blast playing it. Overall I like the set and the animations are very pretty. My two minor gripes are the animation speed being just a bit too slow and I do not care for how the boost from Power Siphon works. Other than those, I found it to be a very solid set.
  11. I will at least give it a try. The first season of TNG was truly awful, but the show found its footing.
  12. Great debates about this over on the STO forums over the years. As for the Discovery haters out there, this is nothing new to Star Trek. Some folk here were either were not alive or too young to remember the outrage over TNG when it was first announced. Watch the documentary "Chaos on the Bridge" that Shatner produced. The people directly involved with TNG and beyond talk about it quite a bit. We may not like the newer stuff and that is perfectly reasonable. Enough people out there do like it (yes even those truly awful JJ-Trek films) that the studio keeps making it. The IP has to evolve and change to keep current and relevant. If new stuff does not appeal to you, then just do not watch it. There are volumes of the older Trek episodes and films on streaming media to enjoy.
  13. Except it was not stolen. Feel free to believe whatever you want to believe, but the case was dismissed and for good reason.
  14. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions for a pagoda type roof? I have an all ninja themed SG that I long neglected that I have recently picked up on again. I can get the building done easy - it is that curved pagoda roof that is frustrating me. I tried doing a combo with the chalet roofs and roman awnings, but it does not look right. Any suggestions?
  15. Or it is a veteran who really has no interest in running the same story content again for the umpteenth time. ^ This too. It is a quick way to find out if the character will be worth sticking with.
  16. How is a "new player who has never logged on before" going to afford the PL price? No offense meant to you personally, just comments like this do not make any sense.
  17. Now don't be silly 😛 Here is the thing - players who were not powerlevelled by someone else can be just as inexperienced, if not moreso. It all depends on the individual. Not everyone in game is a veteran and just like many others, they do not know everything their first or even second or fifth time around. I certainly did not know what was the best build or what powers worked better than others my first time through. I still do not know it all. Second, this game is just not that hard or complex to figure out. It is not WoW with tiered raiding systems that require certain gear or team makeup in order to run the content. Lastly, running into some new player who never played the game at all and got powerlevelled to 50 the first time they logged in is so rare, to claim it is commonplace is a stretch.
  18. Sure but it is possible that people start villain side.
  19. Aren't you assuming they may have started hero side to even know where IP is?
  20. As have you, so probably best to just drop it at this point.
  21. It is very possible to level to 50 without ever setting foot in Striga Isle.
  22. To be fair, you are just as guilty of the same things you are berating @jubakumbifor here. You have also been very vocal in telling others what you perceive as the "correct" way to team, take instructions or use or not use knockback. That can be considered "griefing" just as much as anything else.
  23. Fair enough and that is perfectly fine. I do not understand that position or agree with it, but I will not begrudge you. I am curious as to why. Is it some form of envy or something that others have the means to pay for the service? Is it the false assumption that people who have their toon levelled "untraditionally" do not know how to play? At least to me, having the XP boosters and DFB, DiB and the like are powerleveling as well. We can skip more than half the game in a matter of minutes with these.
