  1. Doc, I salute you! Keep fighting the good fight! Also, it's been about a year now for me (had to finally cave and buy a new computer, old laptop couldn't run Homecoming after they discontinued Safe Mode), but I did my best to manually nuke or neuter many phone-home operations on my new Win10 OS (and, more deviously, the stealth reviver programs. Damned microsoft is getting cunning these days). Took a LOT of effort, and I'm still not 100% sure I've managed to wrangle them all. Got any other tips, tricks, advice, or links to share on the subject?
  2. Oof. Tall order. There are actually terrifyingly few Natural factions in the game. Longbow, though many Bosses are decidedly Mutant or Science. Also, they don't come up often for Heroes to contend against. Luddites, although there's a question of demonic influence now due to that one Cap au Diable arc, but there aren't any Blueside to begin with. Spetznaz . . . again, Redside-only last I checked. PPD . . . again, they're generally Redside content. Dockworkers, Scrapyarders, RIP, Cage Consortium, and Private Security . . . I'm noticing a trend here. Low-rank Crey, but they ramp up in to Technology pretty quick. Low-rank Family, but the use of meta-enhancer drugs and implied mutations pervade the upper echelons. Low-rank Warriors, but even then it's implied there are plenty of magical artefacts enhancing these guys right from their initiation. What does that leave us? Knives of Artemis, for sure, when you get there. They're just exceptionally well-trained and using relatively mundane equipment. . . . Shivans? Shivans, I suppose. They're Natural for their alien origins, right?
  3. There's also a mission from Neuron where you face a level 40ish Anti-Matter at level 15 if you don't leave the mission before the timer is up. I plan, should I ever get around to it, to start that mission with a dedicated character, and then hold on to the mission until I level up to 40ish myself . . . just to see what happens, if anything, when Anti-Matter is defeated.
  4. My spouse just listed 270'ish ATOs, 3000+ Converters, 1500~ Unslotters, and 300~ Boosters for 1 each. I think she just crashed the Unslotter market too. Oh yeah! And 300+ Rare Salvage.
  5. Hey now! I don't even muck about with the market or the Super Packs other than to hand them out as prizes at events, but they really -should- implement a Claim All button. Low development resource quality of life features are always a good thing to prioritize. The little things add up and generally have a bigger net positive impact than one large update that appeals to roughly the same number of players that three of seven of those small updates appealed to. Don't focus solely on the small quality of life things, of course, as the big updates can generate more "hype," which results in positive optics, but one of the BEST things about the Legacy Devs is that they did not neglect the Little Things. Every major update plugged a feature gap hole here, or built a bridge of convenience there. The Homecoming Team would definitely do well to followi nthat particular tradition.
  6. The Rogue and Vigilante Super Packs contain other alternative class of ATOs. Basically, H&VSP contain the ATOs with a naming convention which uses the Archetype name, while the R&VSPs contain the ATOs which have names like "Mark of Supremecy (Mastermind)." Based on the last time I looked, the H&VSP ATOs tend to have more supply and the R&VSP ATOs have more demand. To that end, I figure the latter Packs would be more useful than the former. Granted, I haven't checked that again in months, so it may have changed.
  7. No Rogues and Vigilantes? For shame. For. Shame.
  8. Updated to include @Oginth's post.
  9. I remember that. When Arachnos was known as "S.P.I.D.E.R." Sadly I don't have any of them. Granted, this is City-related. Not really Off-Topic. *shrug* You may get more visibility if this was popped up to General.
  10. Now with RVSP Feature! https://forums.homecomingservers.com/calendar/event/78-rikti-monkey-fight-club-sharkhead-930pm-eastern/
  11. There have been concerns raised frequently that there are some barriers to entry for some players who are interested in getting involved with roleplay with City of Heroes. One of the issues I see brought up most regularly is that there are players who would like to have some designated spaces where roleplay can "happen in the wild" other than Pocket D or Atlas' Boot. In an effort to facilitate these meetings, I present to the Homecoming Community the "Roleplay-A-Day" Club! https://forums.homecomingservers.com/clubs/14-roleplay-a-day/ The purpose is pretty simple: Each day the Roleplay-A-Day Event Calendar will provide a recommended location for player-characters to meet. A little blurb about the Zone/Base is also provided in the Calendar to help players find a theme/setting that works for them. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/calendar/19-roleplay-a-day-calendar/ These are not meant to be exclusionary zones, however the limitations of the game mean that sometimes there are alignment barriers in place. In an effort to keep things balanced, the rotating calendar will attempt to alternative between Hero- and Villain-specific Zones, Public-Access Bases, and other Zones. Of course, these are not the only places where roleplay can happen! These are merely being provided as a sort of "Weekly Strike Target" for roleplay, to encourage players to meet one another. There are no set times, but players are encouraged to RVSP and reply to an event posting with the time of day they might plan to be in the area. For now the Bases we are showcasing with this are on the Everlasting Shard, but we don't want to limit anyone! If there's interest, we can definitely expand the Roleplay-A-Day Calendar to Bases on any Shard! We are also looking for additional suggestions for locations to add to the rotation. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/21504-recommended-zones-and-bases/ And if you happen to have any Feedback or Suggestions, please feel free to post here: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/21503-the-roleplay-a-day-system/

  12. The only problem is that it's not always there. The gazebo is, though.
  13. Port Oakes Gazebo/Hotdog Stand is definitely going in to the list! Cap au Diable might end up with two entries thanks to the University. Probably also get one of the Abandoned Labs in to the mix too, although . . . hmm, which one? Thanks for reminding me of the Golden Giza! That place needs more love.
  14. In the Event posting/editing screen for the Calendars, we can set Events to Repeat based on Days, Weeks, Months, et cetera. It's possible to set an event to Repeat after X number of days, ranging from 1 to 30. I would like to request that this be increased, please. 50 should suffice for my purposes, but if it's not too much of a hassle, may as well bump it all the way up to 200 or 300, just in case someone else out there has a use for that. Please, and thank you for your consideration!
  15. As they stand currently, the formatting for Calendars on this forum start on Monday. That seriously does my head in. Could we please switch it to the standard format of Sunday in the leftmost column? Or at least implement an option for that format, please?
  16. If you would like to recommend a Zone or a Base for inclusion in the rotation, or request one for a particular time slot, please feel free to post your recommendation here.
  17. Welcome to Roleplay-a-Day! Each day different Base(s) and/or Zone(s) will be promoted as the ideal location to meet with other roleplayers. While this is primarily meant for use by the Everlasting Shard's playerbase, anyone is free to use it! These locations are non-exclusive, and are merely meant to help facilitate players' chances of meeting one another "in the wild." If you have any Feedback or Suggestions, please feel free to provide it here! Thank you.
  18. Mercenaries or Thugs are clear winners for theme. MAYBE Necromancy with the suggestion that they're drug-addicted to the point of starving themselves and looking like zombies. Poison sound the most appropriate for concept, but Poison can be a tricky Set to play well. It -is- Powerful, but it takes some effort to get there. Alternatively, Empathy or Pain Domination could be good for thematic purposes. Nature Affinity for Herbal Remedies, maybe. Kinetics or Radiation Emission are a bit of a stretch, but still workable for the concept. Time Manipulation could also work, suggesting that it's the use of narcotics, stimulants, and depressants. However, I also caution some care and consideration for the theme which you are planning to roleplay here. Drug use and addiction carry a lot of stigma and potential baggage. You can try to write around it by calling them "chemical compounds," "substances," and/or "chems" as substitute terms to help lessen the negative impact associated with the subject matter. Overall, I think this community will be accepting and receptive of the character, but I will still caution and recommend taking care around the subject all the same.
  19. Something like https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/9265-new-feature-in-game-polling-system/ @Razor Cure?
  20. A Weekly Discussion on deployment of Homecoming Guidelines for Community Development Standards would be helpful, I think.
  21. How about wrapping those up together as the "Personal Preference Factor?"
  22. And now "Sly Erotic Fox" is ALSO a character that someone needs to make. Great. We're just spitting out names and ideas here like crazy! I'm going to declare this thread a success! Let's keep going, though.
  23. See, I see "STF" and I keep thinking that it's missing the U.
  24. That _1_ Player Defeated, though. I feel like there's a story there, @Norl.
