  1. I'm trudging through The Witcher. I never really loved The Witcher franchise, and I can say the same for the TV series. It's okay ... fine ... meh. I don't understand my apathy - I thought fantasy was my bag. Maybe there are just so many different worlds... maybe it's Franchise Fatigue? Maybe it's because it says nothing to me about my life?
  2. Precipitous Parabola, I love it! Thank you for your informative response! 😄 It doesn't fully answer my question but it does open my the top of my head up, which is probably not good for anybody. If I'm interpreting your post correctly, it seems that the answer is; The second half of the jump (falling) will be determined by the first half, and is not affected by jump speed directly. The jump speed will affect the take-off-and-rising part of the jump(?) I'm still not sure speed itself will affect height without a specific height component, though. P.S. Your description of the momentum mechanic makes me think it'd be possible to create a cool skid mechanic, a bit like when you're the sliding on the (imo far too few) maps that have ice in-game.
  3. Fields of the Nephilim - For Her Light
  4. [EDIT: UPDATE: I've discovered that I can't use this enhancement on this character because Hurdle doesn't take sets. I request a reply anyway, just to clarify the issue. Thanks for your time.] I am looking at the Launch enhancement set. There seem to be two that increase Jump Speed - one overtly states that it increases both jump SPEED and HEIGHT. That's it's name. Another one in the set is called "Jump Speed" only. BUT The Jump Speed only one says it also increases height. Is it a typo? Are height and speed bound together in physics?
  5. Faith No More had two songs [1, 2] about this on a single album!
  6. What do you have near the seaside? Where I live - Aside from endless hotels, we have lots of things you'd associate with gypsy funfairs such as Horse-and-Carts, Amusements (video games, slot machines), Funfair (with big-dipper rides, big wheel-esque affairs), Fortune Tellers/Palm Readers, Candyfloss. Additionally, food outlets serving fish and chips, ice cream and rock. The question is, would this be a tourist spot or not?
  7. Oh. Eh. How does this Popmenu stuff work with keybinds? How I would expect: Keybind a button to bring up the specific Popmenu and then press 1,2,3,4 etc. So you could have a tray of Popmenus, and each of those contains any number of powers. So it's like multi-keying powers. Quite cool. Is that true? I'm scared.
  8. As you can see, the shelves and items on the right are low res, but the items on the left are high res. What's going on here?
  9. 20,000 Leagues of ExtraPortionary Clownfish Under da Sea?
  10. Why can't these be nods to the community? Name your favourite developer.. maybe not. That's a terrible idea. My suggestion: The Olympic Buildings. The buildings should be of different heights like an Olympic podium. Aside: It'd be nice to have some interactivity with them. I love things like that - like the secret base in .. eh... [was it Boomtown]? Very cool, no function. Ace. Perhaps some kind of shop and in the back is a series of doors you need to complete a quest to get a badge? And you need the badge to enter and it's a 1960 super-spy base (or <insert fantasy>).
  11. TBH I am super-happy with all the new things. After playing GW2 for ages, it's just amazing to see that something being done! I think recycling old animations is 100% legit. I love it! But then I loved the recycling of maps in Dragon Age 2 and it seems I'm alone in that. For example, I look at the spellcasting animations in the magic pack and I think... they could be reworked for regular animations - a bunch of different floating pentagrams wouldn't be too difficult to generate?! They're 2D! you could have them under the player's feet instead of floating (like in several other games), or appearing around their wrists or of varying sizes and position in the air. Then combining them with a player casting animation that currently exists ... easy peasy! ... and then I think.. I bet it's a tonne of work behind the scenes. Pathfinder Wildstar Find further inspiration on the Unreal Engine site: https://unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/content-cat/assets/fx?count=20&sortBy=effectiveDate&sortDir=DESC&start=0 I found this one particularly interesting because we already have this graphic in the game, perhaps it, and it's ilk could be recycled.
  12. Perhaps a screenshot of it will help people to visualise the problem?
  13. Oooh there's a fascinating snippet to play with... what if... <wobbly wavy line transition into imagined scene> What if there was an enhancement that changed a single target ability into an AoE but made it weaker, and one that took an AoE power and made it single target but stronger? OR what if some powersets let you switch them around, like switching bullets in Dual Pistols? OR what if some powersets had one type and one or more of their equivalent(s) had the other type? (I guess this already happens to some extent?, I don't pay attention).
  14. Please could we have "Samurai Menpo" and "Oni Guard" copied from "Head"->"Half Helmets"->"Detail 2" to "Head"->"Standard"->"Detail 1" menu? [edit] probably "Detail 2", my mistake. I think they've got a lot of character and would make for interesting stand-alone masks. I don't know if there's a big gap on them (I suspect they won't simply translate into a mask, and that some adjustment will be necessary). I just thought it'd be nice to have more fun masks.

  15. For this costume, I think you could go with the classic red/blue combo if it's a hero (for villain maybe red and one of the obvious secondaries (black/white/yellow)?)
  16. Indeed! Central Services will need one to fix your ducts, whatever colour they happen to be.
  17. How about trying to affect a pseudo-dungaree thing?
  18. I think the live devs did try to innovate within their confines. I mean the dual pistols is a brilliant example of the sort of thing that's possible when you imagine Better™. Regarding the noisy Demon Summoning pets, you probably already know, but just in case, there are several mods for that powerset (including Kittens, aww) available and EASY to install.
  19. MassivelyOP.com, probably Bree Royce.
  20. I am in a similar boat. In debuff. I get de splinters in my arse, so I have to stop rowing and pick dem out - during which time I often get zapped by enemies. Splinter Control ftw. What I wanted to say is that debuffs are great, but it's not always clear when they're happening, who they're happening to, what effects to look for or even whether I should be looking for effects, and especially whether my damage will synch with any of the active debuffs. I mean, even now, when I know it's a thing, I don't know whether picking specific combinations of powersets might mean a (much) easier time in combat.
  21. Omg... imagine the possibilities ... electric whip... ooh.. naaastyyy!
  22. Sure it is. Yeye, we know you're right.
  23. Solar / Celestial perhaps?
