It just goes to show how good sounds can completely change the feel of the game. I would like to change the default "boingy" sounds, such as the "no" sound (you know, when you try to do something you can't) to something much more snappy.

It's a beautiful and elegant design. BUT designs that can interact with other costume parts are the best ones. Does this one interact well with Over The Shoulder Mantle? Chest Details? Especially Symbols. That's the factor that determines whether it gets a boo or yay from me.

There's nothing silly about that. It's a great idea. It should be in the game now. I concur, the feeling of progression isn't much of a thing in the new CoH - maybe it's more about "unlocking" than discovering. Convenience is a huge part of modern games - the idea that blocks are put in the game so that achievement can allow the user to overcome them... it seems developers of all games don't like it anymore. Isn't that the point in a game? Why have snakes in Snakes and Ladders? Why not just ladders? Part of game development is or should be creating problems/inconvenience. For example, I want to have to travel to Icon to change my gear - it makes the world seem more alive when people are using shops, not just crowding round Ms Liberty. Having said all of this, I do like being able to build my entire appearance at the start of the game.

If it's a natural character... that doesn't stop you taking the Fly power, for example, wearing a jetpack or a wrist-mounted Teleport device etc. Those gadgets don't necessarily turn you into a technology origin, or do they?

Star Pattern 2 is specifically designed for the single shoulder cape. Thanks for your time. OOPS! these might be the wrong way around, but I think you get the idea. I meant to put a big star in the middle of the cape. Star Pattern 1 Star Pattern 2, for Single Shoulder Mantle. I meant to put the stars in the middle of the cape. It might have too many stars to look good, please bear in mind I'm no artist, I'm just suggesting something LIKE what I'd like to see. The idea of what I'd like to see, not a precise, finished product. Star Pattern 3. Again, the big star is meant to be in the middle of the cape.

Perhaps the free versions should be weaker as you level up - so they encourage you to switch over to actual powers - in a similar way to those prestige enhancements?

IMHO of all the aspects of the game, the audio has aged the worst. Some of the audio is fine, but things like teletrans (teleport), demons, looping fire toggle, looping spines toggle, etc just have to be re-educated changed. The latter two are high on my to-mod list.

Can't you just turn off all the other sounds? Isn't there a mod for that yet? oO seems like it would be easy to just copy a silent ogg file over and over ... and over... and... omg there are so many sound files.

There's no copyright and the highest form of flattery is imitation. I think it's fair that people without time or inclination to master the costume creator just copy someone else. Ofc, there should be an in-game tip/payment system, but there isn't.

IMHO, what makes this costume so special is that you've managed to find a way to put three colours into the costume so imperceptibly, where, for me at least, the natural instinct is to limit ourselves to the obvious two channels. Brilliant!

It's 100% possible. Will it be unpopular... mmm ... depends what they get replaced by. Some zealots will complain vociferously no matter what you do. It's great to see that you're already coming around and considering alternatives. I'm sure a stun from Rubber Bullets will be a fine replacement for Bean Bag.
