Fighting Pool for Weave. It provide you the most +def of all the power pools. There are also Combat Jump and Stealth. Aegis in Tough can provide some +AoE defense. Six slotting Focus Chi with Gaussian's will provide another +2.5% def to all positions. Positional defense is more important for your build than type defense. A full set of Touch of Death would get you closer to melee softcap than Superior Blistering Cold. On another note, the build has too many LotG +7.5% recharge. Replace with Shield Wall and/or Reactive Defense uniques. A Performance Shifter proc adds about a 0.2 endurance gain and is better than that end IO in Physical Perfection. Active Defense gives a ton of KB resistance. Steadfast KB protection isn't needed. I think you have the base, a really good start, for a killer build. Just needs some fine tuning, a couple power changes.

I find Mercs/Storm to be a solid combo. With all the KD (With the use of the Sudden Acceleration IO), the build is very survivable. It's overpowered vs anything with little to no KB protection which seems like 90% of the enemies. Keep Gale on auto and go to town. Storm also really helps Merc's low dps. Arguably moreso than other MM primaries. Gale, Freezing Rain and Tornado can slot -resist debuff procs. This in turn helps Mercs and all the damage procs they can equip.
-
I had to test it for myself. It seems to stack, the numbers look strange though. I'm guessing MM's Fluffy has the same power as the Defender's DM version. It's debuffs seem much stronger than my own! Only powers I used for testing were Darkest Night and Nemesis Staff (To hold aggro). Fluffy used all it's own powers. Darkest Night, Twilight Grasp, Chill of the Night, Petrifying Gaze and Tenebrous Tentacles. 217.25 - No debuffs (I actually died this hit). 178.25 - MM's Darkest Night Summoned Dark Servant. 91.24 - MM+Fluffy Darkest Night x2 + Fluffy's Twilight Grasp. 104.61 - MM+Fluffy Darkest Night x2

Necro/Dark isn't the most fun set to play but it gets the job done with relative ease. Enjoyment is far behind Thugs/Time and Mercs/Storm. -Can add an extra pet (For 4 mins) by summoning Lich, /releasepets, Soul Extraction, resummon Lich, other pets and upgrades. If you can manage endurance, use Burnout to summon two Soul Extractions. -I never wait for a teammate to fall before using Howling Twilight. Use HT whenever it's up to help prevent deaths. -Overwhelming in T1 pets is pretty useful. Three pets that can knockdown targets with every attack. Add the most useful procs, Soul Extraction really helps with this. Thinking about a respec to exclude Dark Servant. Not sure how useful he really is with all the -tohit debuffs already in the build. Does his -damage debuffs stack with the MM's? Will keep him around if it does. Here's my current build. It's what I used to solo Lusca and Adamastor. Also a video made during live of a pylon run with two Soul Extraction pets in the mix. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1628;777;1554;HEX;| |78DA6594CB4F135114C6EF3C4A9DF26A694B8B94475B1098DAC2886EC5083E6110C| |3538C21631960621FA405234BFF054D74EBD2F8C0A56E0DF1C1C29D46166E7C812E| |401374E1C28CA7738E9D49DAA4F99DF9E69E7BCEF9EE6DD51B4335EB676E0E30CE3| |B98D18AC539552BAEE885AC919B77A9DAA29116187CDCF08DD86FE6C657B3D97C2E| |35AAA70BF9AC964BAF353B5E9E5C5D58480D69856B73AAA115B31AF38CE5F399D4F| |8B2AECFD75BE188AECDEB85E292B15C6D3D9FCE188B4B2B3E2B3E97BB6E148DAB46| |C658598B9C5A36D229C7D6AA96D6A9C3B530F4D40FDFFB2E461FD3C5F6018AC4F8D| |FC0B0C8F829119E45267E149083BCC5AA4BA84F021847B97E5C5315401E08121B91| |9E10B04564750D40BFC84A5B735897E712CC5A53F39F0F398BD3B046C0FD05E1336| |FE5376C23033BC46FC80730078E62325714F78981F16ECCE7DC099CAD9138037B4B| |34B7B4833D350EF3D6BBF008CE19569107478917908FA05035E55693679149F424F| |29CB7F66A7DC35B1EB6CEA0DE5A85357CD0532D7956EBC539DB03C42067CDD2FE97| |598C0E438E04DCC7DC92EDF5945B4FB951CA8D536E3C443C82BE77FC413E869E7DD| |4B3EF13F6D8F10BBDEB78896B0EBD22BE266E2267A1AE9F72FD740E5D5F885F8974| |2E3D742E3D742E71983748E712FC80FEF9410BE11C2C740C200A6C1DFA6BA21A4D1| |3E859CF0BAC2F6F83DC059C465DA6BD0F7F47FD32C8CD982B34BFA577EF88EF91C9| |2DBA3F50BB856AB7D03D7902B5DBA8C736D29E41E918DD9D18799D2C79ACB8D915A| |8D749BD76921FBDE4472FF9D14B7E28E487423DEFD530D64DB5BAE9BE3F855A09D4| |B8C4387A949C4006A0DF14AD4F05B10F09B43ED2FA4A1ADC33552CFF8ECD881D971| |E4D938D381509771EB37F818CB356ED7A40216FB824F6B6E7D4BA51FB616B02779E| |B3CEC03385BDD545F1CC945DE44FE7DA5B58D97B9B7807D97017B92197EF8A2957C| |CD057A128154A7F8572B44291BCF0AF4255B6E05A2BD89D79AF1493BE11B3633164| |AFB9E8B1E369473CE388671DF171D93E9501B9FCAF619E90CBB7DD3C1BB4D7C7037| |6FC0FD58207D0| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

Question for healing a mastermind and their pets
StrikerFox replied to AlchemicAlys's topic in Mastermind
I've never tried it and not sure if it even works, but there's this: https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Target_custom_next_(Slash_Command) -
Here's the Adamastor vid. Also solo Lusca vids. Tentacles weren't too bad. First few only using Darkest Night and Twilight Grasp. Wanted to speed things up, so added Fluffy, Tar Patch and Lore pets to the latter tentacles. Couldn't do enough damage to Lusca's head with just Necro pets. Around 35k HP, drops down to 33k and regens back to full. So used all powers to finish Lusca off. I played it poorly. Some pets died, I didn't use Soul Extraction all the time and forgot to upgrade when resummoning. I'll try Ghost of Crapyard sometime soon.
-
Haha! Some comments/replies made it sound like Necro/Time or Necro pets in general couldn't produce the damage to defeat an AV/GM. I didn't use a tank to pylon test but did do it on beta using Provoke. The pets didn't take any damage that way with the MM hovering a distance away. Adamaster was a breeze with Necro/Dark by just toggling Darkest Night and putting Twilight Grasp on auto. Even went afk a couple times and just let the pets do their thing. How do you stop the Ghost of Scrapyard from running all over the place, are you using Provoke?
-
Necro dps seemed pretty good when I was pylon testing 1.5 years ago. They were middle of the pack behind Thugs, Demon and Ninja; ahead of Mercs, Beasts and Bots. I vaguely remember someone saying the Lich will have an increase in dps if one of his upgrades isn't applied (Don't recall which one). One of the upgrades gives him 2 debuff/mez powers that do zero damage. By omitting it, he cycles to his damaging attacks more frequently. He had both upgrades when I tested. I have a Necro/Dark MM. I would love to test pet dps against an AV/GM if someone's got a tank to hold aggro. I won't use any Dark powers to simulate Time's pathetic offense. Haha!

It should be a strong combo. Power Boosted Farsight would provide around +21% def, Edict + Call to Arms IO uniques +10%, Maneuvers +4% = +35% def for all pets. Moderately slotted Time's Juncture's -15% tohit debuff. Debuffs from Lich. With pet resistance unique IOs, all pets would be at +61% to S/C/N/T/P, and +35% to L/F/E. It's not too tough to get perma Chrono Shift (and Hasten). About +82% global recharge + Hasten slotted with 2 recharge IOs (+83% recharge) and Chrono slotted aggressively (+95% recharge). Both powers active provide +120% recharge. The example below permas them both. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;869;435;870;HEX;| |78DA6D91D94EC2401486A7B475015151494451D4444D5CAABE8018D70BA992E07A6| |51AA830096D094BA2973E80EFA146F1CEE5DEE511D40BE313B8BC011EE61CA9114F| |DA7C3367FBCFCCE8078B2DE595A32893DA17B246A1B0A71B85A299B7B89D527523C| |D9332036B843FEC46F61225CB726C6DCD4CE61DCBB0938783BF82F3A5FD7D6D835B| |26F4B279AE94358ADCB19937EE38592D9133CD549B58C64C2365E60B199EF38BFD3| |24F678ADC4EFB7097AD6E3B97723CA92D648C7CDAA4D10EBB619821F84F54465691| |D886C2D88CC23C9BC8A7602D061F183B856C093D8A34E1C1EC49A4A2211BA688D3C| |82138B72CA1823CCE30977806FD54525085C273102FAAAAD0B82A89ACA61851477A| |D788EBC817A869C61AB9F90A555BAE8937C8D65BE439C8F9E8BCBE2D3C67EB36320| |0C27E9AC61FC4DED5A12A1750142081C09D2C021DF7C40764D7A3EC16B85686D210| |9D3EB4833A3DBBC85798BB97F47A7FEB5D4251840211712DC2FD06F9C3D84B1D0EA| |3DC481FB19F18418E0E108F3DFF8D252CACFC7DDF589D47773D95B8527B7D2689E8| |BB9791EB27FFB3CEF351E7F9AAF3CC8EB92AD1B1DA0B55E6601DA2F5375B6FDB13| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

Maybe choose depending on your primary, secondary and build. Can softcap without Weave, and can slot Steadfast/Glad Armor without the Fighting Pool? Leadership is a good alternative. Maneuvers can slot LotG. Also Kismet, Shield Wall and Reactive Defense uniques. Gaussian's BU proc can go in Tactics. I haven't tried it but some players say it improves dps while teamed. It has a chance to proc every 10 seconds with every team/leaguemate within range. Also if there's a snipe in the chain, Tactic's +tohit buff will improve it's damage. Assault for the damage buff, Vengeance as a mule, Victory Rush to help with any end problems. But if you're playing powersets with a lot of AoE, Gaussian's would be great in Build Up since Superior Assassin's Mark would recharge BU often. Just make two builds in Mids', one with Leadership and another with Fighting, and decide what works out better for you.
-
For Leadership, maybe drop Tactics instead of Assault. Power Boost + Farsight (On your build) provides about +12.5% tohit, Supremacy +10% tohit, Enforcer Tactics +2.5% (x2) = +27.5% tohit for all pets. Squeeze Burnout into the build for Double Gang War. Will only be able to use it once every 7ish minutes but I'm usually pretty excited when it's ready. Activate Assault Radial Hybrid-GW-BO-GW-PB-Farsight. Great burst damage. I've never used Cross Punch before but Mids' shows it only has a 0.67 mag. It shouldn't KB anything unless hitting targets several levels lower than you. Sudden Acceleration probably isn't needed. +Recharge does nothing for pets. Soulbound +dam/end would be way better for the Bruiser instead of +dam/rech. He's an end hog. I recommend getting Hasten and Chrono Shift perma without the use of the Force Feedback proc. All your power picks are pretty much the same as mine. Except I do not have Cross Punch, Weave and Tactics. Using Temporal Selection, Burnout and Assault instead. Though I find myself not bothering with Temporal Selection. It should be ok. Get it to a 30s recharge and cycle it through the Bruiser, both Enforcers and Arsonist.
-
Maybe slot them differently depending on the secondary. If the pets can get to softcap (Or equivalent with debuffs) without SCotMM, Edict and Call to Arms, go with offensive slotting: | Copy & Paste this data into Mids Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;728;359;718;HEX;| |78DAF3AD70E159E7DE68CFC028E09C93585C1CEF9B585C925A949B9997C2E15B5A9| |25892999FC7CC0004EC402C8F908C0F2ECDCDCDCFD3734A050A41355522CB3B95A6| |A5E939E7E7A4C4BBE40305C006310806E4E7E7E879E6956516672665E66496548A8| |0455C2B0A528B327353F32016F28205DD32D3334A32F3D2B921BC1C1057D8B52033| |59CF3923B1283D1566AB04D065EA40EC0A62303002F17F5686CF40CA90938129940| |548B33030B1013D21CBC2C0729609CC67898088B31D04F2855918723419A0E03F10| |010198C00A3C81D6703342ACE1865AC3F395016C1C4F18C458BE2F106BF81E32836| |9814888F87FBCC01B68B224D464C910880EA9A31013A43E416C90098788CB2C6304| |7B48CE99890893D18081163CA4FEEB23B10DB5E0A1F05F86053D447C30447C1122F| |F035820A6806419C1B26FB9A006C3D5BFC710798721F20143C408E82A6EA80B8D81| |6C49281B0C7C8481DE8728FF2F090CBFFF503600676702A3| |-------------------------------------------------------------------| More defensive, pet survival slotting: | Copy & Paste this data into Mids Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;716;352;704;HEX;| |78DAF3AD70E159E7DE68CFC028E09C93585C1CEF9B585C925A949B9997C2E15B5A9| |25892999FC7CC0004EC402C8F908C0F2ECDCDCDCFD3734A050A41355522CB3B95A6| |A5E939E7E7A4C4BBE40305C006310806E4E7E7E879E6956516672665E66496548A8| |0455C2B0A528B327353F32016F28205DD32D3334A32F3D2B921BC1C1057D8B52033| |59CF3923B1283D1566AB04D0656A40EC0A6230320289FFAC0C9F8194212703D3571| |0CDC2C014C602A6591E324368672630CD160911CFD1648082FF40040460022BF004| |5AC3CD00B1861B6A0D4F28C4189E474063655918F8BE408CE78B80880BBC04AA536| |7C16D281878034D96847A403204A253EA28C4C1529F201E91098788CB2C6304DB24| |771222FF9F1460A005F229D8A2FFFA486C432D7828FC9761410F111F0C115F84C8F| |F00168829205946B0EC5B2EA8C170F5EF3144DE61887CC01031D28207F87F63205B| |12CA06031F61A0F721CAFF0300081E0085| |-------------------------------------------------------------------| Slotting is meant to work with Musculature Radial Alpha. Some IO's are boosted to +5.
-
Sad to say that +recharge does not work on pets whatsoever. They will still cycle through their attacks, like normal, with or without Adrenalin Boost. Only the +regen and +recovery buffs will help them. Fortitude is great for all pets and not difficult to cycle through with no downtime.
-
DM probably works well with any secondary. One of it's top dpa attacks has a self heal that would be used once every 6ish seconds. I would go with Shield. Just damage buff on top of damage buffs and SD would just appreciate the self heal more since it has none.
-
I like the resist percentages you squeezed from your slotting. Can probably get similar numbers with less slots devoted, by adding Shield Wall and Reactive Defense uniques to your build.
-
Ugh. Found the old log from one of those pylon runs. The 70s pylon time, there were 18 crits. About 1 crit every 3.9s, for a total of 1982.85 crit damage. It equals out to about 28.33 dps. For some reason I was expecting double that especially with perma Tar Patch active and Achilles' triggering frequently. Secondaries without a -res debuff can probably expect less dps.
-
Yay, unless running one of your infamous, petless Masterminds. I used it frequently when pylon testing 1.5 years ago. It seemed to help. It's endurance cost will be its biggest drawback. If you can manage that, there's little reason not to take it.
-
I put IM's attacks into Obitus' old dps calculator from live. Around +200% recharge, GIS-FT-IS-FF-repeat is the best chain. +300% recharge, GIS-FT-IS-repeat is the best. Only used the attack's base damage (According to Mids') in the data. No procs, damage buffs, IO damage bonuses, incarnates, snipes etc were included. GIS-FT-IS-FF-repeat could probably pull ahead since FT can be proc'd out and still recharge fast enough for that chain. Also the chain length is 6.864s, a snipe could be integrated seamlessly.
-
Tankermind dilemma - is Provoke really mandatory?
StrikerFox replied to Randolk's topic in Mastermind
Imo, Provoke is required. I don't think an MM can be called a Tankermind without it. Any MM can sponge the alpha but there's probably no primary, secondary or epic/ancillary power that can hold the aggro away from pets for a long period of time. -
If going strictly for dps, I would probably skip Nimble and Vengeful. Run the top attack chain (Blinding-Ablating-Sweeping-Ablating) for ST damage. Take 1k Cuts and Typhoon's just for some AoE. Power over Nimble just so the Sweep Combo can be used. While leveling, take all attacks. Weaken can be used by level 6, Empower can be used by level 8. Attack Vitals at 26 and Sweep at 32. Respec after 32 if you feel you'd like to weed a combo out. If playing DB for the fun factor, I would probably take all attacks. Though some would only have a few slots in them, just so their usable for the combos.
-
After issue 12, newer powersets had some gimmicks to set them apart from older sets. DB and StJ with their combo systems, TW with it's momentum system, Staff with it's form types, Savage with it's speed/end redux buffs etc. I think Paragon Studios were charging for the newer sets and these gimmicks made them more appealing to the playerbase. DB/ElecA held the record for the fastest pylon time for a long time back during live. Attack Vitals is pretty good in terms of dps but DB's best attack chain is Blinding-Ablating-Sweeping-Ablating-repeat. Though I think Blinding-Sweeping-Nimble-Ablating-repeat would do ok since the Empower combo is a part of the chain.
-
Team TP or Group Fly to help with patches, but would probably annoy some teammates. Also"Stay" doesn't break Bodyguard mode. When in Defensive, Bodyguard is active with all commands except "Attack My Target."
-
Regen cap on Scrappers is +3000%. I built aggressively before and got around +950% passive regen (Around 95 hp/s). That's with perma Dull Pain active, but not including Instant Heal.
-
My guess is Tough isn't toggled on. After respec, adding powers to the tray and Tough was unintentionally left out. Does Sudden Acceleration in Thunder Strike do anything? TS has a 0.64 KB mag. It shouldn't KB anything unless hitting something several levels lower.
-
No uber bots build to provide but would love to join an all MM SG. Have three MMs that are SG-less. All are on Excelsior but willing to swap servers. Hit me up if you need a member.
