The pool that would gain the most from this approach is probably Teleportation ...

It's time to recognize Domination is bad.
Redlynne replied to Replacement's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Domination was designed for the game pre-Inventions. That means no set bonuses, and thus no global recharge for powers other than Hasten. We didn't even have Incarnates back then (and we liked it!). Under those conditions, Domination is fine when the access to recharge buffing is necessarily limited. I forget if perma-Domination was even possible to do prior to Inventions (I think it wasn't) and the Archetype was balanced around the notion that Domination was a "sometimes" factor that couldn't be made perma. I repeat, for clarity ... Domination itself is fine. The problem is all of the global recharge enhancement that made it possible to achieve perma-Domination after the introduction of Inventions. Perma-Domination is the abomination. Being able to refresh Domination before Domination expires is the problem ... because it gives you "something for nothing" when you can achieve perma-Domination. You get all of the upsides and none of the downsides. It's the ability to perma the Domination factor that is broken ... not Domination itself. Easiest way to fix that, with no wiggle room for workarounds, would be to prevent the Domination bar from filling while Domination is up, thereby making it IMPOSSIBLE to achieve perma-Domination. Global recharge enhancement would give you a better uptime on Domination, but you'd never be able to get to 100% uptime like you can with perma-Domination ... because you could only fill the Domination bar while Domination is DOWN, not while it's UP. -
Is that 7.5% for the base version or the Superior version? I was not aware that it stacked. Does each proc have a duration before it expires? I've sometimes gotten 3 procs in a row of the Absorb shield from Pistols and was wondering whether they would overwrite each other or stack ... but since there's no buff icon that appears it's really hard to tell. Which chat field (damage, healing, etc.) shows the procs happening for the Absorb and also the notation for when they expire? NICE. 😎

I recommend Ninja/Time/Mace Mastermind ...

Could always switch from Blaster to Sentinel for a "proper" Ninjitsu experience with Dual Pistols ... I'm personally biased towards playing Time Manipulation/Dual Pistols/Soul Mastery Defender ... but that's probably just me.

For some reason, the Cryptic (and later Paragon Studios) devs simply didn't put a whole lot of effort into allowing Females to look like sexy body builders.

Was able to buy both Defender ATOs off the market this past week and slot them into Pistols and Dual Wield ... and hoo boy do they make a difference! The PBAoE Absorb shield sounds like a Force Fielder casting bubbles, but there are no visual FX (although there are sound FX) and there's no buff icon that appears, so it's not the easiest proc to trace in terms of effectiveness. However, I know the Absorb shield is working because I've taken hits (from Clockwork, mainly) that yield no damage throughput. The PBAoE Heal is more obvious, since there are visual FX to go with the sound FX, so that's easier to verify that it has happened. And although the procs aren't happening on every attack (more like 1 per 3 or 1 per 4 on average), they still proc plenty often ... and have been making a difference for me while soloing the Power arc in Imperial City of Praetoria. So a pricey investment, but well worth shelling out for as soon as you've got enough INF and slots invested into powers to acquire as early as you can while leveling.

I'm going to go with Bad Game Design For Kheldians due to premature optimization of the Archetype done by Cryptic Studios in order to launch them in Issue 3 ...

Depends on if you have the slots for that. Bare minimum, I'd recommend the AoE powers get first priority for Force Feedback procs, due to the Chuck Lots of Dice!! strategy for getting procs from AoE powers, with the AoE powers that you'd be using repeatedly/regularly/routinely having highest priority. Among the single target powers, you'd want to put a Force Feedback proc into the longest recharging power that you can work into your attack chain repeatedly/regularly/routinely while holding back on slotting that single target power with recharge enhancement, so as to keep the proc chance high. After that, it's all down to math.

Telekinesis + Galvanic Sentinel + Endurance boosting power chaining = WIN Galvanic Sentinel + Recharge boosting power chaining = Total Domination + Mass Confusion + Mass Hypnosis + Terrify uptime increases Need I go on?

Possibly ... it would depend on slotting and power recharge/rotation. They wouldn't be able to do much more than just merely Hold the AV (try doing enough damage to overcome the AV's regeneration while doing nothing but spamming Hold powers). The problem is getting enough time/attack opportunities in so as to build a deep enough stack (it would take at least 10 rotations of 2 Hold powers alternating to build up enough Mag) ... during which the AV will be attacking (either you or an aggro magnet). However, if you've got an aggro magnet who can take the pounding for long enough, it CAN be done with the help of your Singularity (which also casts Gravity Distortion, so you'll get at least some additional Mag that way). Ideally speaking you'd slot Gravity Distortion, Time Stop AND Singularity for increased Hold duration in order to realize that possibility. Note that doing this will often times conflict with other (franken)slotting priorities for those powers, since damage is often times preferred over duration.

weirdness when turning off forms
Redlynne replied to schrodingercat's topic in Peacebringer & Warshade
Desynch can produce all kinds of weird timing behaviors that won't make a lot of sense to humans (let alone gamers). Safer to not rely on perfect synchronization at all times, I'm thinking. -
Icicles aren't trying to defeat you by draining away body heat ... they're trying to defeat you by (repeatedly) poking holes in you using rapidly manifesting spiky pointy bits that poke right through you. Kind of like how spears try to defeat you by (repeatedly?) poking holes in you using a spiky pointy bit that pokes right through you. Sure, the Icicles are "made by the cold" but it's not the cold that makes them ouchie ... it's the spearing through you that makes them ouchie ... and that spearing action is classified as Lethal damage, not Cold, so even though the spears are "made by" cold the damage that they do is Lethal typed.

Telekinesis in Mind Control is a notable exception to this, since Telekinesis detoggles the instant the anchor is defeated. So far, Telekinesis appears to be the only known exception.

Exactly. Just as important as "I put an Achilles' proc HERE" is knowing what the chances are that it's going to proc when that power is used. This is why you'll see proc chance calculations on almost all of my build posts nowadays, so that I can KNOW how "reliable" a proc is going to be within a particular power. Doing that also lets me calculate "thresholds" for how much recharge I can slot into a power before it starts impacting proc chances, and so on. That then lets me step right up to the line on having a 90% proc chance while also slotting as much recharge as I can fit into a power like Slowed Response in Time Manipulation. When you start getting to really high reliability for procs, that's when things start getting REALLY interesting and a lot of the calculus changes. However, in terms of "raw" debuffing, Poison can do all by itself more than what I can get out of two powersets combined ... which is not shabby ... and that's assuming that you don't have Poison/Sonic for even more debuffing on your side of the ledger.

The better to tickle your synapses with, my dear ... ✨

Closet of Confusion (what the power should be named with its pitifully small AoE) will add ... what ... +2 Mag to the Confusion stack *IF* you stay within 8ft of the AV (uh, is that a safe place to be?) ... which will of course Notify the AV that you're attempting to Confuse them (even if you're mega stealthed). Will it help "at all against the AV?" Well, I suppose it could ... Will it help in a "useful way" against the AV? Functionally no ... especially if you were trying to build a non-notify Confuse stack of Mag on the AV without drawing aggro onto yourself while doing that. A 1.5s duration is very short. Too short for our purposes here of needing to build a DEEP Mag stack that is 56+ Mag deep.

Just add Immobilize to Stuns for a "ghetto hold" synergy.

So ... when I combine -30% Resistance from Slowed Response and add another -20% Resistance from an Achilles' Heel proc in Slowed Responsed (90% proc chance) and use Piercing Rounds for another -20% Resistance when using Standard Ammo in my Time/Dual Pistols/Soul Defender build to achieve a -70% Resistance total from a distance that's not too shabby? Especially since I can keep that going (and I think the Piercing Rounds -Resistance debuff is allowed to stack with itself)? Near as I can tell, Poison (according to the posted Guide) can do -40% Resistance to the main $Target (and another -20% Resistance "splash" to the AoE) from Envenom, and Venomous Gas adds another -25% Resistance to the PBAoE, for a theoretical maximum of 85% without Achilles' Heel procs (and 105% with Achilles' Heel procs) so long as there's more than one $Target so as to reap the benefits of the "splash" AoE from Envenom in order to "one and half up" on the Resistance debuffing from Envenom. So the tradeoff then becomes (in a single target only scenario, removing the opportunity for "splash" debuffing from Envenom) a difference of -65% Resistance (-85% with Achilles' Heel proc) while needing to stay in what amounts to melee range with Poison ... versus a -50% Resistance (-70% with Achilles' Heel proc) in a Time/Dual Pistols/Soul Defender build strategy that can do ALL of its Resistance debuffing from a distance. -65% vs -50% for a difference of melee vs ranged (setting aside the Achilles' Heel procs). So Poison is still "better" in the Resistance debuffing department, but it's possible for other powerset combinations to get close to Poison without needing to resort to being in melee range for the privilege. To be honest, I would have expected the differential to be higher than that ... although, to be fair, Poison would get an extra -20% Resistance from Envenom "splash" in a 2+ $Targets situation that Time/Dual Pistols/Soul basically won't be able to match, meaning that Poison is clearly superior (by a goodly bit more) in multi-target situations. Interesting to game out the dependencies on context in this way for Poison.

Two Controllers with single target Confuse powers ought to be able to perma Confuse an AV (assuming they slotted their Confuse powers in order to do so).

weirdness when turning off forms
Redlynne replied to schrodingercat's topic in Peacebringer & Warshade
You might want to draw inspiration from my keybind setup (go to the third post with the keyboard image in it) that uses a "fall through" system for powers activations to solve your problem. The beauty of this arrangement is that it doesn't use any kind of tray rotations and only needs a single dedicated tray (in my case, the 1 tray) for form powers (Nova 1-4, Dwarf 5-9 slots, and Dwarf Step fitting into the 10 slot). This configuration allows me to move my powers around in the trays without needing to completely rewrite my bind file every time I make a change. t "powexectoggleoff Black Dwarf$$powexectoggleon Dark Nova" g "powexectoggleoff Dark Nova$$powexectoggleoff Black Dwarf" b "powexectoggleoff Dark Nova$$powexectoggleon Black Dwarf" 1 "powexectray 1 2" 2 "powexectray 2 2" 3 "powexectray 3 2$$powexectray 5 1$$powexectray 1 1" 4 "powexectray 4 2$$powexectray 6 1$$powexectray 2 1" 5 "powexectray 5 2$$powexectray 7 1$$powexectray 3 1" 6 "powexectray 6 2$$powexectray 8 1$$powexectray 4 1" 7 "powexectray 7 2$$powexectray 9 1" 8 "powexectray 8 2" 9 "powexectray 9 2" 0 "powexectray 10 2" right "powexecname Shadow Step$$powexecname Black Dwarf Step" shift+right "powexecname Shadow Slip" down "powexecname Shadow Recall" shift+left "powexecname Nebulous Form" lshift+lbutton "powexecname Shadow Step$$powexecname Black Dwarf Step" -
