Saw a pair of PCs doing that continuously up by DJ Zero in Pocket D this past week and couldn't figure out what put them into that state.

Alternate animation for Aid Other/Self
Redlynne replied to WumpusRat's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Could always borrow the animations that Peacebringers use to heal themselves/heal others and simply use different visual FX/sound FX for it. That way you don't have to mess with the posing/animation proper. The one stumbling block you'd run into with that though would be the (much!) longer activation times on Aid Self and Aid Other ... but even that one can be finessed around (just make the imported animation take longer/happen slower). -
This is what an (air) ionizing laser is for ... to create that (temporary) plasma conduit that you'd then dump taser quantities of electricity through in order to make a stun gun that doesn't use physical wires to get the electric circuit job done.

To which the appropriate response is "Why?" After all, they're the ones who insisted on taking the long way round ...

Does anyone have an even approximate duration for how long it takes for the aggro drop to happen? Basically a "you must sleep this long in order to pay no attention to the ninjas beyond the hedge" ...? Well, that's certainly one option. I have however been wondering if putting the Placate proc into a power like Mesermize in Mind Control would be at all beneficial ...

Next time you play with your friend, make a point of not using your buffing/debuffing powers. Just blast away with Gravity Control (Crush, Lift, Propel) and see if he notices the difference. Don't even use Gravity Distortion, any of your AoEs or your Singularity Pet. Make a point of playing as if you were merely a Blaster. The only thing you do is damage. If your friend notices that ... hey ... it's taking a lot more effort to deal with stuff for some reason ... he might catch a clue(!) and ask you to start doing all of your buff/debuff action again, at which point he'll be able to night vs day compare how much easier you've been making things for him while he completely discounted/ignored everything that you were doing to make life easier for everyone. Sometimes you only miss the things you take for granted when they're gone.

[v3.0.3] Evolving Tri-Form Peacebringer

Exchange Dawn Strike for Photon Seekers. -
Depends on the context, really. For some builds it's not a mistake to take it, but for a lot of them it is.

Opportunities to proc happen upon activation of the toggle aura, but once a proc chance is made the chance to proc is "suppressed" for 10s and after that delay is completed the NEXT activation of the toggle after that will be the next opportunity for procs to happen again. Because of this, the opportunities to proc happen ~10s no matter how fast the activation time actually is. There's an extra layer of computation to figure out EXACTLY how frequently the procs CAN happen/get checked for ... but for simplicity we just figure them as having a chance to proc every ~10s. When procs are allowed to happen, the check is made on each $Target affected by the power, up to the Max Targets limit of the power during that specific activation.

You're going to run into a problem REALLY FAST trying to do that with Titan Weapons, since there are only 3 single target attacks in the whole powerset, and 3 attacks by themselves do not a repeating attack chain make (not with Titan Weapons anyway). You can pair Crushing Blow and Follow Through together so as to have Momentum available for Follow Through to consume ... so CB>FT is something you're going to want to repeat more than once per total rotation. The problem is ... what to append onto that basic building block. You can blend in Rend Armor so as to do CB>FT>RA>CB>FT>?? but then you're going to need something to alternate Rend Armor with in order to complete the cycle ... but none of the alternatives is a single target power. You could alternate with Arc of Destruction like you were positing so as to do CB>FT>RA>CB>FT>AoD but you'd need a fair amount of recharge to make it work. Crushing Blow: 2.244s arcanatime + 8s base recharge Follow Through: 1.188s arcanatime + 10s base recharge Rend Armor: 2.508s arcanatime + 16s base recharge Arc of Destruction: 2.904s arcanatime + 20s base recharge Crushing Blow needs to recharge in 1.188+2.508=3.696s or in 1.188+2.904=4.092s depending on what you're putting in between Follow Through and Crushing Blow. Using the faster recharge demand you get 8/3.696=2.1645 or +116.45% total recharge in Crushing Blow, which is a fairly reasonable amount that can be achieved. Follow Through needs to recharge in 2.244+2.508=4.752s or in 2.244+2.904=5.148s depending on what you're putting in between Follow Through and Crushing Blow. Using the faster recharge demand you get 10/4.752=2.1044 or +110.44% total recharge in Follow Through, which is again a fairly reasonable amount that can be achieved. Rend Armor needs to recharge in (2.244*2)+(1.188*2)+2.904=9.768s which then in turn requires 16/9.768=1.6380 or +63.80% recharge, which ought to be quite simple to achieve. Arc of Destruction needs to recharge in (2.244*2)+(1.188*2)+2.508=9.372s which then in turn requires 20/9.372=213.40 or +113.40% recharge, which again is a fairly reasonable amount that can be achieved. So basically if you factor in enhancement value slotted into the powers plus global recharge bonuses, if you can get to 117% or more combined recharge you can make the attack chain "flow" with no gaps. However, that's not factoring in Momentum properly into how long the attacks will take to animate (I'm just using quick and dirty numbers off an old version of Mids). Hopefully that ought to give you enough to work with for starters.

Swap Ammo When: it is useful. Why: reasons.

Brings new meaning to "pouncing" on your $Targets when you switch from Group Fly to Hover above your $Targets from about 60-80 ft above them and alpha strike them with an AoE just as the Beasts are landing among them ... while you swoop lower to get back into PABoE Healing range of your ... Pets.

So you'll be making a Dark/Time/Soul Controller then?

I wonder if the game staff actually plays
Redlynne replied to Honey Pie 143's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
And for the record, a self described Master Thief just said that ... -
Sleep the NEXT spawn group beyond the one the team is working on to pin them in place so they don't have a chance to "get wise" and join the fray prematurely. Using Sleep powers were damage is supposed to be happening is usually not wise. Using Sleep powers to "defer aggro" until later or be able to pull a single mob (usually a Boss) out of a pile is a more tactical use of Sleep powers, where you're using the Sleep as a "suppressor" in order to take on $Targets sequentially rather than in parallel.

To be absolutely clear, I haven't reviewed the coding responsible for this (I don't have access to it) ... it's just the simplest and clearest way to convey the info to humans who play the game so they can understand the behavior (if not the programming involved that produces that behavior).
