  1. While it's a nice idea in theory I think it goes to much against the core concept of a powerset being a fixed group of powers. I think a better compromise would be more customization options for MM attacks although unfortunately most of the sets have weapons which limits options for customization.
  2. So this is somewhat Mastermind specific but for them I recommend having two commands either bound to convenient keys or set as macros: /petcomall passive follow /release_pets The first one makes your pets stop attacking and return to you, the second just unsummons them all. I find having both of these readily available is useful when I want to get my pets out of the way.
  3. There are two ways to reset a mission (other than abandoning it). The first is to log out for a period of time (somewhere around 3-5minutes) at which point the map server will close the instance causing a reset. The second option is to get a mission from another contact (radio mission is easiest) and then set that as your active mission, setting a second mission as active and switching back should reset your current mission.
  4. That is weird.
  5. I tend to believe them but then I like to believe the best of people. Also from a practical point of view lying low for a few years seems like a sensible strategy, NCSoft would probably have been more likely to react harshly if a private server had popped up immediately following the shut down. Additionally it would have made it easier for NCSoft to identify the individual(s) who were involved in handing over the code base while the time gap provides them with some protection.
  6. Yes. Click on Profile. In that window there's a drop down menu titled Modify Profile. The bottom option there is Buddies/Ignore List. You can add people to your ignore list in there (the specifics of how to do this are left as an exercise for the reader).
  7. Yeah this is my approach as well. I pick the DoT effect that seems most in character and call it a day. Reactive or Degenerative might be the best options for soloing AVs but for normal game-play all of the DoTs are roughly equal in effectiveness. Now the non-DoT interfaces are pretty much useless.
  8. No that's not true. There are three support sets that offer self mez protection for the user: Traps, Force Field and Sonic. As for control powers quite a few support sets have one or more control powers in the set.
  9. Yeah good catch, I was getting the different versions of the power mixed up.
  10. So to my mind there are two advantages for a Defender over a Corruptor with Time. First is Defense. The nice thing about Farsight is that you can use Power Boost or Power Build Up to really increase the effectiveness of Farsight. Since Defenders get both a stronger defense from Farsight and a stronger version of power boost this makes a significant impact where Corruptors get 22% defense while Defenders get 31.8% defense (this assumes 56% defense slotting in Farsight). Adding in the fact that Defenders get more defense from things like Combat Jumping and Maneuvers and softcapping a Time Defender is much easier than softcapping a Time Corruptor. You can also get more benefit from Clarion Radial Destiny as Darkir noted although personally I prefer the Core version to get permanent mez protection since Time spends so much time in melee range. To second advantage of a Time Defender is that you can skip Time Crawl if you want to. It's not an awful power but IMHO it's not that great either. You generally don't need the extra slow and the -regen is to low to be useful against AVs. It's primary use is letting Time Stop hold bosses with a single application and slightly boosting the effectiveness of Slowed Response against AVs. So overall it's not a power I'd lose sleep over skipping. Now if you don't want to take Power Mastery or Soul Mastery for your Epic pool then I think the Corruptor wins out. If you are planning to take one of those pools then I think that the higher defense and increased build flexibility means that the Defender edges out the Corruptor. This is doubly true if you go the Soul Mastery route, since you can get Soul Drain permanent and Defenders get a larger damage buff from it than Corruptors do which will chip away at the damage difference anyway. It's also worth noting that Defenders get a larger damage buff from both Power Build Up and Soul Drain in those sets which can help with the damage differences (although Soul Drain helps more than Power Build Up due to increased uptime).
  11. According to Pine's it does not. Now obviously that's not definitive so I would recommend testing it in game but my guess is that Pine's is correct. From what I recall when Absorb was first introduced as a mechanic the devs made it so that Absorb and Heal were two different properties when it came to enhancements. They then changed all Healing enhancements to Healing/Absorb but internally it's two different properties. I don't think that the set bonuses were changed however.
  12. It does target foes (it has to for the damage debuff) but it auto-hits them which is why it doesn't take accuracy enhancements.
  13. Yes, kinda, and kinda. Radial KB is bad. Unlike Buckshot, which directs the mobs with skillful play, radial KB just scatters them, and little to no ability to direct targets (Hover is a thing, but a power pool/pool pick to "buff" one power is not a good balancing parameter). Alternately, could give it a different secondary effect, details on the 3rd point. Just a correction here, M30 grenade doesn't do radial KB. KB is always done from the direction of the entity using the ability rather than the target point of the ability. So M30 only does radial KB if you're standing in the middle of a group of enemies. If you use it from range then it's directional KB, same as buckshot.
  14. This is a good response. I did this a few nights ago, got about 25 fake nem per run. It's also easier if you turn bosses off so they spawn as Lts.
  15. They already are offered. You can buy respec recipes for 100 merits each.
  16. I agree. It's not a major deal breaker for me but changing it to smashing damage would be nice.
  17. Short answer: Yes. Long answer: When absorb was introduced into the game all Healing enhancements were changed to Heal/Absorb. This means that they actually buff both types of powers by the same amount that they used to buff Heal powers. So if a power has only healing or absorb then the enhancement will function as you describe. However if a power has both healing and absorb (such as Wild Bastion) then the enhancement will enhance both the healing and absorb functions of the power. I'm not entirely sure why the devs opted to do this rather than just make absorb get enhanced by healing enhancements but I suspect that there's some behind the scenes reason for it.
  18. So just to clarify something, this is due to the way that the P2W vendor is implemented. Basically most NPCs with dialogue can't be interacted with while you're on a TF (Trainers and Field Analysts are an exception). For example you also can't have Null the Gull change your speed boost settings while on a TF. I'm not sure how practical it would be to change this, I suspect it's more complex than you might think but I'll admit I've never looked at the code so I'm making a guess.
  19. No. The seller with the lowest sell price will get the sale. The downside of listing items for 1inf is that you're only going to get a fraction of the possible sale value. People tend to leave low-ball buy offers up for items so if you list something for 1inf then you'll sell it immediately at whatever low-ball offer someone has left. Putting higher sell offers in is important for ensuring you get a fair price for your items. Now if you don't care how much you get and just want to sell it quickly then undervaluing it is fine but in general you shouldn't list stuff for 1inf. For example let's say I'm selling an enhancement that generally sells for 2.5million-3million. If I list it for 2.2million then it'll sell quickly and probably within the 2.5-3million range although I might get a bit less for it. If I list it for 2.5million then it will probably sell but will take longer. If I list it for 3million then it's going to take quite a while to sell since I'll probably need to wait for a bump in the price on the weekend (when more people are playing). Now if I list it for 1inf it will sell immediately but I'll probably only get 1.5-2million for it (maybe even less). Intention. The market was changed in this version to use bracketing for a LOT of things that are similar in order to increase fungibility. In addition to all levels of an IO sharing a pool attuned IOs share a pool with non-attuned IOs and all salvage of a given rarity share a pool.
  20. This is adapted from an AE arc I partly made but never finished: Hero A: So I went on a mission to a dimension where the dominant intelligent species was Felis Sapiens rather than humans. They were under attack by their own version of Hamidon. Hero B: So what did you do? Hero A: Well I spent most of my time rescuing kittens from trees. And yes, the arc did have a mission with that objective.
  21. Like everything it's up to you. I tend to 5 or 6 slot my MM's attacks but they are lower priority so they don't get many slots until higher levels. It also depends on how you play and what you want to use the attacks for, I tend to use them to draw aggro (in combination with Provoke) so slotting for extra damage does help. If you just want the debuff then accuracy is probably fine.
  22. The merit prices on paragon wiki were the prices on live. Everything is MUCH cheaper on Homecoming with all recipes being 100 merits or less. The Panacea recipes should exist on the merit vendor however keep in mind that due to the Homecoming economy it's often cheaper to use your merits to buy Enhancement Converters and sell those to get inf to buy your enhancements directly rather than buying recipes with merits.
  23. FUD should not be confused with FOD. However FOD is a frequent source of FUD. FOD = Fear of Ducks? FOD = Farming of Dragonfruit? FOD = Flying on Dinosaurs? All good rockband names IMHO Foreign Object Damage. Which would also make a good band name.
  24. Here's my view on target caps. Right now target caps are pretty uniform: targeted AoEs and large radius PBAOEs get 16, ranged cones and melee PBAoEs get 10, melee cones get 5 and very narrow cones get 3 (whether ranged or melee). Now for the most part I think this is fine, the maximum cap fits relatively well with the number of targets you can realistically expect to fit in them anyway so it discourages herding without significantly impacting normal play. However there are a few places where I feel a power really ought to be upgraded to the next tier and Full Auto is one of those places. If you look at the geometry you can almost fit a standard 15ft radius circular AoE inside the wide point of the cone and the total cone area is quite a bit larger than that area. So I think Full Auto is a special case where giving it the same target cap as a targeted AoE is not unwarranted.
  25. Scrappers and Brutes are great. Right up until you start stacking Defenders, Corruptors and Controllers and realize that those melee ATs were just holding you back from true greatness.
