  1. So as you're thinking it would have to be a team of 8? Anything less wouldn't have the opportunity for the bonus? (just discussing, I appreciate the different viewpoints) Thanks for this oh great GooglyMoogly
  2. Both of these should work roughly 4 time per minute, right? (if AS has the Hide Proc slotted) Hidden->AS->Hide Proc->Critical Placate ->AS->Hide Proc->Critical @SwitchFade you're saying: Hidden->AS->Hide Proc->(incoming damage cancels hide)->No Critical This would be expected if taking DOT, wouldn't it? Should this be the case if a target's attack was started before the hide proc activated but the damage came after the hide proc? Oof, I dunno.. Placate on the other hand should not care. DOT or remnant damage should not break hide only an attack by the player should break hide. I think I'm confused on what isn't working. Is it the damage applying after the Hide Proc is canceling the Hide? from hide with the proc in BS.. [21:59:47] You activated the Bone Smasher power. [21:59:48] HIT Crab Spider Slicer! 3. You forgot players might drop from the team after strike forces start and they realize only then there won't be a bonus. ..and the 'roles' not being consistent with the character creator or various sources. ..there might be some other stuff too..
  4. "Epic archetypes count for three different roles at once." Tested Team with Soldier and Widow did not enable the new bonus Team with Soldier and Warshade did enable the new bonus The Warshade dropped just after entering the first mission and the icon remained (not sure if it would still award). Question, does the strike force only have to start the first mission with a "perfect team" or do they have to finish the entire strike force? Who is experiencing fear? Please point them out. Is it fear of missing out on the bonus? Maybe I am missing some context as to what you are saying. Once given it is hard to take stuff away.. ala Empyrean Merits changes. The inconsistency of "role" for this bonus with character creation and documentation descriptions shouldn't be overlooked. Thanks for using 'most' and not 'everyone'. I don't think every or even most team leaders would look to qualify for the bonus.. but some will. I don't think every team will kick someone for not having the right AT.. but some will. I don't think that every team that starts a strike force which doesn't qualify will have someone drop from the team without explanation.. but some will. It's a bit frustrating to fill a team for a less popular strike force and have someone drop just after starting. What is the exceptable number of not fun or bad experiences? ----- - ----- If there aren't enough PAPs out there we could just award them to anyone who finishes a non-incarnate strike force, task force or trial. One per 18 hour period. Simpler Doesn't matter if it's a smaller team or even solo Avoids some potential less desirable behavior
  5. Emotes appear to be working while using costume: Undefined Mode
  6. More information needed. Arachnos being such a large part of the game, if there was a change it should be documented otherwise it could be unintentional. Good catch!
  7. "oops we already have ______" /kick player it's like a meme of when diversity and inclusion backfires.
  8. You could try adding an aura. Maybe a combat aura (one that turns on only in combat then turns off).. maybe Runes. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Auras
  9. I kept reading waiting for the bad news.. Approved!
  10. 1. The cottage rule is simply a guideline. 'An existing power will not have its core functionality and purpose changed, though its strength may be altered and effects secondary to the power's true purpose may be added or removed.' "Seriously, it *is* a good policy -- it provides structure within which to do things. Without structure, there's chaos. How would you like it if tomorrow you logged in and, say, Build Up now built a small cottage at your chosen location, instead of adding to your damage? It's a silly example, admittedly, but it's to prevent such wholesale changes from happening. I *could* overturn it, in specific cases, if it were truly needed, but in the case being discussed here, it is not truly needed. There are MANY options that have been discussed that do not involve changing the core use of the power." I hope this helps. It's a good guideline.
  11. chatGPT to the rescue.. hmmm even AI is mean..
  12. Welp, while that makes sense, I am not one of those. I see less black and white and more of the shades in between. As such I see no problem with being able to support the on going conflict while not having direct pvp. Call it avoiding escalation.
  13. So, you need a little 'startup capital'.. Typically I only offer funding opportunities to players who start a character in Mercy. I bang the drum and hand out some infamy. Why? I have my reasons. Also, I get it: If only you had a bit more funding, what could you do? What could you accomplish? Well, here's your chance to potentially receive an incredible sum. What an amazing offer! Don't miss out. Here is the easiest method I've seen: 1. You send an in-game email to @Yomo. 2. Receive an in-game email with up to 100M. That's it. How to send an in-game email: If your Chat window is not open, press "C" to open it. Across the top tabs that start with "Team", "League", etc. Click on the tab that says "Email". The window that now opens has two captions "Inbox" and "Character Items". Click on Inbox and hit the "New" button. For To: input "@Yomo" without quotation marks. Write something, anything, in the subject line, like 'Yomo is the Best' and something in the main text box. Hit send. Rules: 100M will only be sent to those who send an in-game email. No tells, no forum messages, no messages outside the game. One entry per player. It may take a couple days to receive the reply email. The time has come at last (Secret, secret, I've got a secret) The problem's plain to see (Secret, secret, they've got a secret) Yomo has waaay too much in-famy ... Domo arigato, Yomo dogato. Domo.. Yomo.. Note: Sometimes the in-game email system can screw up. Occasionally an email that was apparently sent over a year prior pops up. If you don't receive a response in a couple days you're not being ignored. In fact, if you send another email a few days later because you haven't received anything yet, @Yomo won't mind at all. : ) Similar offers can be found at: Yomo's Whizbang Potpourri Extravaganza of a Giveaway! and Yomo's New and Improved Bang-Up Salmagundi Spectacular!!! Also Note: Troo is not Yomo, Yomo is not Troo, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you. Full credit to Yomo for their generous giveaways which I have linked to in this post. I take no credit for this opportunity and am merely pointing players to a known resource for funding.
  14. Why would the sides have to work together? It could simply be a hazard zone. Same zone it is right now but no direct PvP. It's the ultimate street sweeping. Content could run off intelligence gathering, espionage, saving innocents who are caught in the middle, third parties taking advantage of the situation. There is a lot to work with. Siren's Call: Side: Hazard Zone Threat: War.
  15. Is it possible to have the default be Rogue rather than Villain?

  17. So excited

  18. A subtle incentive that encourages any percentage of players to take a look at Redside wouldn't really hurt... Redside is a bunch more content/zones/etc just sitting there to be capitalized on. Boosts are simply levers and therefore require less effort than significant changes. (Easier to walk back also) ^^ reasonable voices quoted to help explain the nuanced differences they see. 🙂

  22. A M A Z I N G ! So much crammed in to this page! we get to play as.. oh my gosh, oh my gosh..
  23. Atlas is an easier zone and has more population. Nearly everything in Atlas is at least a little easier. One or two, probably would be no biggie, but it is currently many things and they seem to add up. How many badges can a player get in Atlas before being exposed to any danger? More than in Mercy. Can a player get to Pocket D without risking damage? Connections From Atlas: Normal Paragon City zones, Sewer Network, Recluse's Victory, Rikti War Zone, Fort Trident, Pocket D Connections From Mercy: Normal Rogue Isles zones, Pocket D No access to Sewer Network, Recluse's Victory, Rikti War Zone, Fort Trident Zone transportation and tunnel transit are easier to get to and barely skirt any potential enemies. The P2W is right near the main trainer. Note: The base access portal in Mercy is closer to the spawn point. Putting together Atlas being an easier zone and it having higher population, and it's not hard to understand why more don't play Redside. Very similar to the current server experiment. (having lower population servers give more XP to incentivize people to play on them) We are seeing that population trumps increased XP for a lot of players.
  24. I get what you're saying. It's interesting. A small bonus for committing to slotting without dealing with the huge number of IO sets. It could serve as an introduction to set bonuses.
