  1. It’s not me saying this but it appeared that Super Reflexes can be the worst too..
  2. the answer is no. baseline is not 4/8. at baseline Regeneration has the tools necessary to play effectively. when pushing the envelope there are various ways to take on higher level content. the least optimal method being: run hmm, maybe I am doing it wrong. maybe the method of taking a bit of damage first and then occasionally using DP as a ~30% heal and also then boosting max hp is too efficient. (some regeners don’t even need to use DP all that often instead saving it and applying it situationally) meh, only at the highest levels is anyone ‘funneled’ but the same happens with other sets and ATs with IO selection, power picks and incarnates. I blame fotm builds rather than game choices. I am not saying you are right or wrong these are merely my thoughts on the subject where my opinion diverges.
  3. MoG, Instant Healing, Dull Pain and Reconstruction are there.. It’s up to the player to allocate them in an appropriate manner. If a player is having issues with alphas the player may be lacking a plan or has a bad plan. Know your character, what it can do and what it can’t do. Occasionally there is a surprise, as intended. Be prepared. A Super Reflexes dodging attacks is not the same as a Regeneration character asking an enemy if it hurts their fists when they hit them with their face. Stop trying to make them the same. ‘You got to know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em, know when to walk away, know when to run”. Nerf SR
  4. +1,000 Chasing defense on Regeneration is a trap. DDR on Regeneration, no thanks. (It would require a trade off we should not be okay with) Meanwhile, adding resistance can have an exponential effect for Regeneration and almost out pace the need to know which targets to attack first.
  5. Kudos. Good stuff. Many well articulated posts. @Koopak @Zepp @Stormwalker @Blackjoy and others.
  6. So what I'm reading here is prices are too cheap?
  7. I thought about Scrapper but had to go Blaster for Energy Blast / Martial Combat.
  8. poppycock
  9. these are mittens these are hands
  10. whoa whoa whoa shhhh I really want those debuff buffs.. he really means
  11. oh damn
  12. I agree with the many folks who said level 50 tokens could be a bad idea. (their individual reasoning aside) We can acknowledge though, that many folks wanna skip levels. I could be agreeable to a vehicle for this IF somehow, even comically, it is earned. I have said before a lower level token might be better. Level ~40 seems reasonable while still being a tad inconvenient (this isn't Christmas). It also would still require activities from levels ~40 through 50 to keep the wheels turning. I'll start another topic with details that can be debated and ridiculed.
  13. "entirely"? Really? Just because I'm an expert level Stalker doesn't mean I know all the ins and out of another AT I've never played. Do I need to grind 1-50, probably not. Troo, but there is a bit of a learning curve for many powersets and definitely for some ATs. (I just don't get Dominators and the perma-dom requirement)
  14. So should there be another option? A token that gives levels to a new character and skip the PLing. If so, what would be the appropriate level to skip to?
  15. This happens, they are call SOs, they drop frequently and builds run just fine on them. If you meant IOs from sets should drop then thats different and maybe... but the idea of the inventions is that they require crafting. I craft quite a bit and it works well enough for me. Sometimes I earned salvage or recipes sometimes I need to buy it. The consolidation of salvage, recipes and enhancements into buckets was helpful. Being able to turn an unpopular enhancement into a valuable one is also pretty helpful.
  16. Is there a better way? Maybe we shouldn't have to level up another 50 every-time, forever. Maybe we shouldn't need to re-roll when we finally realize we don't like our secondary. Should we need to level up another Brute if we already have 3 or 4 50s? Idea #1: I'd be in favor of being able to drop a primary or secondary for something else at a reasonable cost. Cost: 5 levels. Idea #2: I'd be in favor of some type of Level Up token We already do this on Test server. A way to reward folks who have met criteria. New badge for getting [some #] of Brutes to 50 or total Brute exp. "Brute-iful Mastery" badge Grants player a level 40 token for a Brute. For every 2 mastery of AT badges get a choice of a new AT level 15 token. Make trying new ATs and powersets easier. Reward experience.
  17. This said, it would likely have an overall marginal impact on salvage, recipes and funds as the activities would move elsewhere. The super dialed in AE farms that yield excessive rewards being the most reduction. I'd be in favor of rotating (similar to weekly TFs) whether AE provided xp, $$, or not. Scratch that, I'm not in favor of impacting non-farm player created content.
  18. Simple answer: Find some other way to farm XP. Folks would actually have to explore the game a bit, travel to missions locations, and risk losing a saved special mission if the glowie is clicked.
  19. fixed it for ya zeppers
  20. Good point. As I said, I don't go for the inspiration method. Yes, like some other sets it works until it doesn't and then we gotta have a plan. (unfilled psi hole, almost capped defense, etc. Big game lvl 1-50-T4)
  21. harder than I thought making a modern or future version
  22. Without going into a long debate SR has great defense Regen can have that same defense (until debuffed) plus it's regeneration. SR can't ever have the same regeneration. Elec has great resistance. Regen can have nearly that same resistance plus it's regeneration. Elec can't ever have quite the same regeneration. **This is baseline to some people's position which can put Regen possibly having a higher upside than some other sets. (not necessarily the ones listed) I don't completely agree with that because I don't like using inspirations on the regular. Instead I pair Regeneration with a bunch of resistance from powers, set bonuses, etc and simply accept that I am gonna get hit. This feels very sturdy and a good base to operate from. I'm at full health at the end of most fights. Now if I get hit with debuffs I need to know how to counter them. If incoming damage is coming in fast than regen heals at a sustained pace that is devouring the health bar, I need to know how to counter that as well. Sometimes the counter is a power, sometimes a tactic.
  23. and if you put it on a Tanker it is overpowered..
