  2. So I can expand this to include both launchers and also a PS4 controller. I've had the 'Options > Keymapping > KeyBind Profile' change randomly to Default in the past and had to select Joystick in the dropdown. That does not seem to be the issue at this time. While the controllers work in other programs they do nothing now in Homecoming.
  3. Do we have to add special "Extra Launch Parameters" to get a controller to work with the Homecoming launcher?

  5. Checked controller is working using https://gamepad-tester.com/ and it is working just fine. On homecoming.. no dice. Maybe since the last patch. (hard to say, I assumed incorrectly it was the controller) Logitech 310 & PS2, neither work
  6. just not necessary to go overboard. dp will not need much. we just need enough for our chosen attack chains.

  11. Sure. I would include costume creation as a form of puzzle. Power customization could be. Anytime we are trying to dial in an aspect of the game it could be considered a puzzle. This is part of what makes the game engaging. We can self impose caring about some parts and not others.

  13. @catsi563 what am I looking at?!!... the confused emoji is in fun and respect for the boggle you have cast. is it a monster, a castle? why is the castle falling over? is it a castle made of gold? is the unicorn shooting sparkles out it's nose and fire out of it's rear?! It occurs to me I may be putting more thought into this than you did.. 😞

  15. Cimerorans.. do non-damage mitigations count? I like the idea of doing non incarnate content to get a good feel.
  16. Agreed with the following caveat. Folks only know what they know. If all folks hear about are afk Mother Ship Raids are the best way to level. That's what they are going to do. The game also has a puzzle aspect where we are challenged to come up with effective ways to do things. This leads to solutions that get shared and soon many are following.. FOTM-ism.
  17. @Koopak now I'm curious, what you might think could get you to switch? Would it be regen-ish? There are lots of different directions something could go in. Spiritual-ish: A paladin theme where not only can this character heal themselves but it spills over to those in proximity. Demon-ish: Not only do they quickly regenerate but get to close and they start to such hp from enemies. Terror: Enemies question their resolve when their damage seems to have little result. Stored Energy: Yes we take hits and heal quickly but some of that incoming damage can be stored and redirected. Etc, etc, etc.

  19. I agree with your point. I disagree just with the above.. I would concede they played until they were bored or tried everything they wanted to. Hi. You're not totally wrong. There is an 'endgame' perspective that will never be rewarded by City of Heroes/Villains. CoX is a story game, any content added at 50 or for incarnates is merely a continuation of the story. See Veracor.. last count - 1581 badges, vet level 14,000 or something I don't even know anymore.

  22. Exactly. If we're spending endurance the result should ALWAYS be additive never detrimental, even if gain is nominal.
  23. It feels like cheating. I have simply cycled Rune of Protection, Instant Healing, Demonic Aura, & MoG. Every once in a while popping Dull Pain if I get to 1/2 health. Building high debuff resist to Recharge and Movement is doable. I've seen 100%, but comes at a cost. Something reasonable should suffice. Random Regen tips that you might already know: Regen and resists have nice synergy. Def can be useless at times due to no DDR. Soft caps can be a fools errand just to watch em melt. (incidental def from sets adds up anyway) Use MoG more than other T9s, it has a nice +Recovery on top of everything else and no crash. Dull Pain is somewhat easy to perma, some like it that way. Great for max HP. Setting to auto can be inefficient though. You're gonna get hit. Accept this. Have a plan to get out of trouble and then play with near reckless abandon. Have a heal available. If you don't have one available it may be prudent to back off a bit. Im attaching a non dialed in build I used to test +4/8 runs. Maybe there's some help/confirmation in there.
