  1. Agreed with the following caveat. Folks only know what they know. If all folks hear about are afk Mother Ship Raids are the best way to level. That's what they are going to do. The game also has a puzzle aspect where we are challenged to come up with effective ways to do things. This leads to solutions that get shared and soon many are following.. FOTM-ism.
  2. @Koopak now I'm curious, what you might think could get you to switch? Would it be regen-ish? There are lots of different directions something could go in. Spiritual-ish: A paladin theme where not only can this character heal themselves but it spills over to those in proximity. Demon-ish: Not only do they quickly regenerate but get to close and they start to such hp from enemies. Terror: Enemies question their resolve when their damage seems to have little result. Stored Energy: Yes we take hits and heal quickly but some of that incoming damage can be stored and redirected. Etc, etc, etc.

  4. I agree with your point. I disagree just with the above.. I would concede they played until they were bored or tried everything they wanted to. Hi. You're not totally wrong. There is an 'endgame' perspective that will never be rewarded by City of Heroes/Villains. CoX is a story game, any content added at 50 or for incarnates is merely a continuation of the story. See Veracor.. last count - 1581 badges, vet level 14,000 or something I don't even know anymore.

  7. Exactly. If we're spending endurance the result should ALWAYS be additive never detrimental, even if gain is nominal.
  8. It feels like cheating. I have simply cycled Rune of Protection, Instant Healing, Demonic Aura, & MoG. Every once in a while popping Dull Pain if I get to 1/2 health. Building high debuff resist to Recharge and Movement is doable. I've seen 100%, but comes at a cost. Something reasonable should suffice. Random Regen tips that you might already know: Regen and resists have nice synergy. Def can be useless at times due to no DDR. Soft caps can be a fools errand just to watch em melt. (incidental def from sets adds up anyway) Use MoG more than other T9s, it has a nice +Recovery on top of everything else and no crash. Dull Pain is somewhat easy to perma, some like it that way. Great for max HP. Setting to auto can be inefficient though. You're gonna get hit. Accept this. Have a plan to get out of trouble and then play with near reckless abandon. Have a heal available. If you don't have one available it may be prudent to back off a bit. Im attaching a non dialed in build I used to test +4/8 runs. Maybe there's some help/confirmation in there.   9. If felt the need to post some sort of metric after posting potato "joined the community" count for the past 3 hours on a Thursday = 11 that pace 24/7 would be 2,400+ a month. even 1/3 that is 800 "joined the community" per month. just sayin..
  10. looks like a good start for a powerset, the T9 is interesting. how much +Def in the T1? just a little?
  11. awesome! Folks keep hinting at an absorb armor set.. that just screams bubbles. (I may have made this last part up.. but still bubble armor for melee would be pretty cool)

What are you imagining the weakness being? The +recharge per foes is interesting. The +regen per foe seems a bit Willpowery but I get it. Any ideas on the something something yet? 'eco-friendly powerset recycling' I'm a big fan. Exactly, not a Regen 2.0 ,but something new. Your initial layout here is taking hits, all-the-hits, and just doesn't care. Tubthumping could be the theme song. Yeah, deal with that stuck in you're head for a bit. 🙂 I get knocked down, but I get up again. You are never gonna keep me down How about some active damage mitigation? (knockdown, disorient, acc debuff, fear, etc) Knockback is an intended weakness? I love the dual purpose Rez. Very nice. You've got a really good base to build on here. Maybe add +Recovery somewhere? What if during Berserker Fury if the player was defeated it triggers Second Chance?
  13. Yeah.. you're not wrong. Trying to slip some -ToHit into a resist set is a really good design choice. Just have to figure out how to justify it.
  14. /em golfclap well done. well done. Can I go with Berserker Rage causes enemies to crap their pants and have less accuracy while trying to compose themselves? -ToHit while dealing with dirty undies seems plausible.

  18. Weapon powersets could ninja leap to next target with a downward attack that knocks down a small AoE, or alternately sprint and use an upward attack with a small knockup AoE. Similar for other style powersets. Could be an idea for a repurposed CoX but not for the current game and replacing all taunts AND definitely not replacing AS. You cray cray. 🙂

  22. @Ston Keep the ideas coming. While not on board with this one, I like your thought on introducing players to other aspects of the game.
