I have one of the original game manuals and have considered scanning it to PDF, it is rather outdated but contains useful information. But also a piece of game history.

All the people that were on my "Global Friends" List that have not returned. ( Including my brother, who just did not have any real interest in playing, left live at issue 16? or so ) Virtues always present creative community, saw some of the most Amazing Characters there, 3' tall Bird people, that sort of stuff. The wonder that this game could elicit, at the time this game at Ultra was fantastic, and you had to have a really nice computer to appreciate it all, or to even see it. I had a nice machine with a 2 Gig Video card and a dedicated Ageia PhsyX Co-Processor, rag doll physics actually didn't look like a defeated NPC were having a seizure or dismembering themselves. Also had a Yamaha 3D sound card, finding glowies was a piece of cake.

Mission from Janet Kellum Get the citizens away from the toxic gas Had this issue the last time I did this Mission. All the citizens ( 20 of them ) are the exact same NPC. Last time they were all a Female in a tee shirt and shorts, this time a Male in a tee shirt and shorts. Not a bug that in any way effects gameplay or completing the mission, just damn odd.

New Dark Astoria has some of the most well written stories in the game. There are Mission Mechanics used that are Unique, and several of them play out, at least for the first run thru, in surprising ways. I like that it was built for Solo or Small Teams, a rarity in this game. Piecemeal has commented that there is a commitment to developing " The Coming Storm / Battalion " material, but it may be a while out to say the least, but at least we know they are trying to develop more content.

If you are logged into the forums with the 2nd account, verify that it is showing your 2nd account user name at the upper right side of menu and verify spelling, it cannot be the same as your 1st account. If it is correct go to the Account tab at the top of this screen and select " Game Account ", enter a new password there and document it. It may just be that it was mistyped when you entered it. Good Luck. ( I don't think you can use the same email address for 2 accounts, but a gmail address is free )

If you are using the same PC that you used before, and can't recall your forum handle, do some searches for topics you may have posted in to Identify your handle. You can sometimes easily improve your situation by taking advantage of pool powers to help offset some of the quishiness. Combat Jumping, Tough and Weave can all be taken and slotted to help shore up a Toon whose Archetype doesn't have inherent Survivability. Although defeating an adversary requires Damage Output, giving yourself more time that you can hang in a fight can sometimes be an easy fix. If you fill these with Enhancement Sets that give you additional Buffs to Damage, Accuracy, Defense and Resistance you'll see a difference.

I know it's not as seamless as being on your Cable box but you could just get a Roku Express for about $20+ and use it for Disney+. You would also gain all the Free Content from Roku and the other Free Streaming Channels and just put it on it's own HDMI input. Just a thought.

Gotcha, are they all set the same for the display type as far as "windowed" or "fullscreen" in the graphics settings?, sorry not at home where I can test.

If you click on the " Enable / Disable " after "Automatic UI Scaling", its state determines whether you have the slider or not. However I have no idea why some would and some wouldn't, but all you have to do is disable it to get the slider.

That's too bad, I always thought she made good points, and gave great advice when she posted and seemed to genuinely love CoX. I hate to hear that the Community is losing someone of her caliber.

In Groups, As in most things, communicating is very Important. I kind of think a lot of it comes down to how things have changed in gaming since this game came out. There has been a steep decline in Team mechanics in MMOs in General, and an emphasis on Solo play. A PuG is a Pick up GROUP, emphasis on GROUP, it only really becomes a TEAM when the members are working together. I love to TEAM with other Players, and put all our skills toward a common goal and usually find things go very quickly, especially if we do a bunch of missions together, and everyone seems to get what they want. I guess if I'm the Tank/Brute, that's what I want, everybody to have a good time, feel important to the TEAM, and be able to contribute. A GROUP is just that, a collection of warm bodies, who may not even have the same goals, I prefer to play on a TEAM or SOLO, and honestly enjoy both.

I chose "Other", The usual reason I use it is if a contact won't give me missions till I'm a certain level, and I really don't want to have to look for another. I'll grab a 2XP and street hunt till I can resume getting Missions. Usually I'll work on a Defeats Badge since they are many of those that don't just happen on their own ( CW Gears, Rikti Monkeys, Freak Tanks, Sky Raider Skiffs, Warwolves, Vampyri )

Yup, that was the intent, I should have been clearer, sorry... I often see comments about running Mender Ramiel's arc to unlock the Alpha, which is no longer necessary, but I think it's worthwhile, a good story, and helps new Incarnates get familiar with their new toys origin.

Congratulations on your First 50! I would say at this point don't rush to do anything, take your time and finish up whatever Story Arcs you may have open, then get ready for the Dark Astoria Stories. I found them to be some of my favorites in the whole game. The Alpha slot opened and begin accumulating XP the minute you leveled up to 50, so your Alpha will be open soon. Then begin updating your enhancements and reading up on the Incarnate Slots, and the powers you can choose. Probably time for a trip to Icon though...lol. Good Hunting @wmtyrance.

This may be a stretch but try switching to Windowed Mode and see if the Cursor is visible, Then switch back and see if it remains visible. Also take a look at the Launcher Menu, I seem to recall an option to "load compatible cursors" or some such.

Haven't had an Energy Melee Character since just before it got NERFED on Live, Till I decided to make a Praetorian EM / Regen Brute ( alternate version of my Radiation Melee / Fire Armor Brutes "Sonny Burns and his twin brother Bubba Burns" ) called Battlestrike. Have him to almost 40 doing Mostly Praetorian content other than things that fit his Backstory. I am really happy with the set and the recent changes are taking a little adjustment, but I have to say I actually like this combo mechanic better than others I have tried out.

Let's hope not, that was probably a really long week without City of Heroes, lol.

Also some Zones have well known Invasion Locations. If the Invasion is on Talos Island, for instance, everyone knows where to gather, on the hill next to the Tram, Tunnel and Base Portal. Peregrine Island, typically at Portal Corp. Other zones, not so much, there is not always an Obvious gathering point, and that makes it a time sink searching the zones for where people have gathered, if they even have. Croatoa actually would be a good one because of the open space right behind the Tram. A lot of the zones have a spot that would work if there weren't Security Drones there. Have done a fair number of events in Kings Row as it has a decent spot or 2, like the fenced construction site. Good suggestions @Techwright.
