The only place I see people beg for badges is DFB.
Honestly, most of the time I really don't care one way or the other unless I'm working towards an accolade power. And even then I'm more likely to do it on my own to ensure someone else doesn't somehow frak it up on me.
I've done about a dozen safeguard missions the past few weeks, mostly in PI, all with a full team, and not a single one of them has spawned an AV.
Did something break? IIRC we're not guaranteed to get an AV, but I feel like they showed up more often than not.
Anyone else noticing this?
My guess, and it's just a guess, is that because auras are part of the costume system they are fundamentally different than power VFX. This means the second color has to be transparent, leaving only one color for us to customize. It's the same reason things like "Tops With Skin" only gets one customizable color -- the 2nd color needs to be transparent to allow the skin to show thru.
I've said this before in other threads and it's worth repeating -- if a team is already steamrolling thru mobs you don't need to pull every trick out of your bag. If critters are dead before you can cast Storm Cell, then you don't need to be using it. It's not going to contribute in any meaningful way. So why wring your hands about it?
It's not all that dissimilar to debuff sets. If you're on a fast-moving team there's no need to drop every debuff you have. You put out the fastest/most effective one and move on. It doesn't mean sets like Trick Arrow are ineffective or broken.
Odd, considering how many people here are getting unnecessarily defensive about being called out for their incorrect insistence that it's a shit set. I mean, if you think it's shit and don't like it just don't play it. No need to make thread after thread and post after post about how bad you think it is. Seems like an unhealthy obsession to me.
But that's the moral of the story, to not do that, and for God's sake don't ever make a deal with a Sea Witch! There are other ways to achieve your goals without having to sacrifice your soul. In the HCA original she didn't get a happy ending. But of course the Disney versions are different.
I thought it was amazing. Incredibly well done. And this is coming from a big fan of the original.
I never pay any attention to reviews, simply because I know the incels always find a way to skew them.
But that's not what it's about. It's a story about a girl trapped in a world in which she feels like she doesn't belong and desperately yearns to find a place where she does. The falling in love at first sight bit is secondary to the larger narrative and is just there to drive it. Particularly powerful for anyone who's ever felt like an outcast or who exists on the outside of the world looking in.
People are giving you pushback because you create a very narrow scenario in which to judge the set, a set which has proven to be quite popular and a lot of people like, and then bash it when it fails to live up to said measure that it was never designed to meet. It gets very old very quickly listening to people constantly bash something you enjoy.
It's been acknowledged many times that Storm Blast is not a fast set, and if that's what you're looking for it's likely not going to be to your liking. This does not mean the set is broken or otherwise in need of help. It just means that in this one niche usage it's not optimal. And that's OK.
