  1. I have a Dark/Dark Stalker, Count Spectacula, and he's pretty fun to play (tho he burns thru end like a whore thru cheap perfume). I have a number of Stalkers, and yeah not terribly different than Scrappers at this point. The stealth aspect adds a nice twist on typical the Scrapper playstyle.
  2. Yeah, I feel like the color palette should have been very limited from the get-go.
  3. I played with someone not that long ago who had fluorescent yellow FF bubbles and you literally couldn't see a damned thing thru them. It was insane. Just because you can make your powers bright enough to burn people's retinas doesn't mean you should. And I see this shit far more often than I should.
  4. Pretty sure Ice Blast used to do cold/smashing damage at one point (Mids lists Bolt, Blast, and Bitter as cold/smashing, but in-game and CoD says only cold) with the exception of Ice Storm which is cold/lethal. Chilling Ray boosts smashing damage but none of the powers in the set currently do any smashing damage. So I'm guessing this was an oversight when the smashing damage was pulled out?

  5. I'm sure it's related to the redraw changes, but the root seems to last a lot longer than before, at least a full second after the animation has finished. You just stand there unable to move or use any other powers.

  7. I don't have the patience to go thru 27 pages and find all the repetitive demanding you did, insisting the set was broken and it had to be redone exactly as you wanted it. The fact you started this thread to whine and cry some more after the beta thread was locked just proves my point. Yeah, I asked for VFX changes. Once. Then after I deleted all my posts I asked again. And then thanked Booper and provided feedback on the change. OMG what HUBRIS I have! 🙄

  11. Again, confusing me with someone else because I never said anything of the sort. I tested the set at a variety of different levels and enhancement configurations and had no issues with it. And I responded to those who incessantly complained about how every part of the set was broken by telling them it wasn't. Because I actually tested it. I stopped posting and deleted my own posts because I had it up to my eyeballs with the constant whining about how no one was paying attention to the changes you were demanding. And in the end, after 27 pages of non-stop complaining about every damned thing what did it get you? Virtually nothing. Storm Cell still moves slowly, Cat 5 is still not a nuke. Endurance costs didn't change, and Jet Stream is still a repel. As we all tried to tell you. After which WE got scolded for replying to your nonsense.
  12. You're clearly thinking of someone else because I did nothing of the sort. All I did was remind people the things they were repeatedly asking for ad nauseum weren't going to happen. Or that things they claimed didn't work actually worked just fine. Not because it was my opinion but because we were told by the devs they weren't going to change. My frustration came from those who ignored it and kept blathering on even after they were asked by multiple people to stop repeating the same things over and over and over again. And here we are with y'all STILL complaining about how you were ignored, the system is broken, blah blah blah.
  13. Just because they don't implement every suggestion made, and that a powerset ends up being not exactly what YOU want it to be doesn't mean they don't listen. It just means what they want the set to be is different than what you want it to be. And that's OK. No one is ever going to like everything. The main goal of beta testing is to find bugs, make small adjustments, and to test changes the devs might be on the fence about. If they tell us up front that things are unlikely to change in any significant way the frustration you feel is your own fault for having the hubris to believe you know better, that they're somehow obligated to make changes because you and a few forum randos whined endlessly for 24 pages, or that they're incompetent because they don't. Yesterday while playing my new Storm/Storm Corruptor I saw people playing Seismic Blast, Symphony Control, and Electrical Affinity. Just because YOU don't see them doesn't mean people aren't playing and enjoying them.

I recall the Paragon devs always seemed to follow the same progression when releasing new powersets: release it as massively OP (gets people back into playing the game), then after a few weeks nerf the hell out of it (to a cacophony of whining, crying, and other assorted nastiness from the players), and then a few weeks after that bump it up to where it should have been from the beginning (and where it was always intended to be), which made it appear as though "they listened to us!" It was a ridiculous way of doing things, and thankfully it's a process that's not being repeated here.
  15. This needs to be repeated over and over and over again, on a loop, whenever new powersets are being tested.

  18. Beat me to it. MAG 3 mezzes are fine as they will hit LTs. MAG 2 mezzes are a waste of time and space unless you're soloing and legit have to worry about minions. Tho if you have another power that can stack on them so they hit LTs and bosses (like Dark Pit on top of Oppressive Gloom, etc.) then they can be OK.
  19. The game uses a text file called playerslot.txt that's stored locally and keeps track of which character is in which slot on the character select screen. Sometimes that file gets wonky. Logging out and back in will usually fix it, but if not you can delete it and the client will recreate it the next time you log in.
  20. I made a Seismic/Earth Blaster when Seismic first came out. While I think the animations are a bit lackluster it plays really well once you get the hang of it. Meteor never gets old.

  22. Keeping line of sight with it thru the doorway greatly improves its chances of following you. It seems to be an issue with all flying pets.
  23. OK, checked the VFX colorization. It's different now, so TYMV @Booper, it's very much appreciated. It's better; now it's the secondary color that affects the cloud/rain effects, while the primary color affects the lightning. But it's still not quite right. It looks like each lightning strike has 2 bolts, a larger primary bolt and a smaller secondary bolt. The large primary bolt is colored by the secondary color -- the same as the cloud/rain, while the primary color only controls the smaller secondary bolt. So if you set the primary to yellow and the secondary to blue you get blue cloud/rain and both blue and yellow lightning. Hopefully it's possible to adjust it further. 👍
