  1. I can't even think of why I'd transfer the merits themselves, instead of buying whatever Reward-Merit-based item I wanted and sending that. What am I missing here (because I'm sure I'm just not seeing some angle to this)?
  2. I continually forget this. I like to think it'll eventually sink in. Thanks for the reminder.
  3. IIRC, none of the Patron choices were really able to get past the two pronged question of, 1) do I really need it or would it be "nice to have," and 2) does it keep within the character concept. I'll take another look, maybe 2019-me feels differently about those questions than 2012-me did.
  4. For those two sets, I was honestly thinking I'd start by just replacing the slotting on both Psychis Scream and Tornado with the two ATO sets. Just haven't dug into a 2019 version of this yet. But I mean, the core of the build looks fairly solid, you think? Just aim toward including some "modern" best practices. Thanks.
  5. Back in the Live era my Inv/SS used Cardiac for both End and the Resists. I haven't decided for sure what to do with his recreation here.
  6. I'll tell you what, I hadn't even notice where her ranged defense was at, I was a lot more focused on recharge and getting Domination cooking. I'll eye this up when I get home.
  7. I think that on Mesmerize, the sleep gets applied like a half second after the damage, to prevent that sort of thing from being an issue. That said don't take my word, check first.
  8. Hey, So in the course of going through the directory in which I keep my Mids builds, I found what must have been a spec build for my Fortunata (file says it's from early '12). I know there are places she could use a touchup, but just looking this over, I think I've at least got the starting point of something worth doing, right? If anyone feels like helping me give her a fresh coat of paint, I'm all ears. 9. Hey there, So I took the time to remake my MC/Psi Dominator out on the Beta server, tricked her out like she is below, and took her for a spin. The results are very promising. I did have soem gaps in Domination, but I think that was just a general issue of "losing time in between mobs" paired with "a little rust at playing perma-Dom". If anyone sees something that is way out of line with this, or even something that could use a small tweak, I'd love some feedback. Later, Generator PS - In Mids, how does one boost enhancements? All the IOs in Hasten should be 50+5s. Hero Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.6.0.3 https://github.com/ImaginaryDevelopment/imaginary-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! 10. @Display Name, just realize that Confuse is great, but (without spoiling anything) there is a very prominent endgame faction that across-the-board resists both Confuse and Fear. Be prepared...
  11. Looking over this thread has me casting a critical eye on my own MC/Psi, and considering a few revisions. She currently has Levitate, just as an attempt to put a little bit of non-Psi damage into her attack chain, but I might just say the hell with this and spec it out. I also have Telekinesis, which I picked up thinking, "One day I'm gonna find myself needing one more control and then I'll be happy I did that." Well Shatterbrain is 38 now and that day hasn't happened yet. I think I can pull the plug on The Great Telekinesis Contingency. On the Psi Assault side, I skipped TK Thrust, Subdue, and Psionic Lance, and I'm wondering if I ought to add in one of the latter 2, as my ST chain feels like it could use some more oomph (if Lance is usable in combat now, this might be the way to go). -Generator
  12. If the change nukes away the Opportunity Mechanic, I hope to Crom they remember to change how the ATO works.
  13. I think one of the branches (Core/Radial) of Clarion Destiny ups your Mez effects. Maybe that's why it was being advocated?
  14. Yup, that's what I figured out once I had two free minutes to poke around on Beta. Thanks!
  15. I have an Ice/Icy Dom that's a recreation of a build from the Live era. Back then I didn't even take CE, as Arctic Air seemed to do the same thing over a larger area and I just didn't have the endurance to spend on one more toggle. I think this is just my way of asking, "Anyone think I should add CE in even if AA is already cooking?"
  16. Earlier up-thread you were concerned about skipping the T1 blast. My experience with my Fire^3 perma-Dom back in the Live era was that, once you get up to the amount of recharge needed to Perma, you actually can skip the T1 blast. Cinderlock was just using Char, Fire Blast and Blaze as his ST and it worked just fine. Take that for whatever you think it's worth. Later on, Generator PS - Your subject line was awful, reading that pun almost caused me internal bleeding. Loved it. 😄
  17. It might not be all about defense. (I'm away from my game PC at the moment, so no Mids, so I can't pop open the hood of these two builds to compare.) Especially on a resist-based set that has no Defense Debuff Resistance, where that Defense can often not last much further than the alpha. I won't try to speak for Hyperstrike, but look at the whole elephant here.
  18. The thing about Surge's crash is that it comes with its own mitigation: the wide AOE hold that gets thrown off at expiration. I just slot the power as a Hold power. 🙂
  19. The only one I skipped from either set in my own was Voltaic Sentinel. Managed to cram in everything else from Primary and Secondary, a travel power and the Fighting pools. I'll find the recent post in which I showed her and edit in a link... EDIT: Here it is!
  20. Thanks, I rarely look at the log stuff so that didn't occur to me until you mentioned it, at which point I basically went, "Duh." 🙂 Thanks again!
  21. Hey, Does Beta Decay require a To-Hit check? I only ask because it can slot Acc DefDbf and Acc ToHitDbf sets. It can't slot regular Acc enhancements, and while the power's detailed info does have an Accuracy rating, that doesn't mean anything, as damn near every power has an Acc listing (Alpha Barrier does, for instance, and that's a Res toggle). Anyone who can help clear that up, I'd really appreciate that. Thanks.
  22. Never mind guys, I snuck away to the Beta server and saw the popmenu lets one select from a few levels. Now I just have to see if I can fine-tune that if I select a different value.
  23. Was 95% sure it was something like that, just making sure. 🙂
  24. I'm curious, why a Rchg IO in Wet Ice?
  25. Like the subject implies, I want to start a new Blaster but I'm out of brain-juice. Anyone got a reasonably competent build with that power set combo? TIA
