  1. No, I mean your actual name. Captain Awesome, or whatever. Every so often I see folks with the color of it changed, and if I know where/how to change that, I've forgotten.
  2. Hey, my search-fu stinks tonight so I figured I'd ask for help. How do you change the color of your character's display name and badge title? I can change the color of the "general title" (for lack of a better term), but then its color doesn't match my name and badge title. Thanks, Generator
  3. I'm torn between trying a Psi/Bio and a Psi/Fire (if the latter, for precisely the reason detailed by @Nightmarer, to add in another damage type), and the only reasonable approach may be to make both. 😀
  4. @Redlynne, that's great, but as I said, what I was aiming for when I looked at that was comparing GIS to its comparable powers in other Tanker Secondaries. KO Blow, Greater Fire Sword, Shatter, and so on.
  5. You didn't miss Neutrino Bolt? Seems to me it would be a little slow on the attack chain as you're leveling that way.

  8. True, but that requires the player to be aware, if they Exemplar, which set bonuses are active and which ones provide how much Acc all the way down. I know for purples that's not an issue, but for the rest of the sets it is.
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the problem with this approach is that it requires a full set of PM, which then leaves you with no way enhancement of Drain Psyche's Accuracy.
  10. Even so, among a pack of dogs, GIS is a real woofer. I remember doing some quick napkin math back in the day, comparing the various high DMG ST attacks of various Tanker sets, comparing them by DPA. GIS was just way the hell down there, last by a mile. IIRC, I calculated it would need about a 90% boost to its base damage to get to the median DPA value of that set of attacks. If at the same time, you shortened its animation to use the one from Icy Assault's "Ice Slash" (that set's unique replacement of GIS), the mount you have to buff by drops to about 45%. (Don't hold me to those numbers, that's to the best of my recollection of some Excel doodling I did 7-8 years ago while bored at work. 🙂 )

  12. That's a really nice-looking build, I might crib some pieces from that. 🙂 I'm of a similar mind as the guy who thought ditching Ice Sword wasn't a great idea. IMO, the real dog of the set is Greater Ice Sword. Its animation time can be measured in hours... Thanks for sharing! Generator

  15. True but adding a slot to Hurdle gives almost no utility, given that you can't really put anything decent set-wise in there. You'd probably be much better served putting that someplace else, ideally someplace it can help you get a decent bonus.

  17. Yeah the other night I realized my Rad/Atomic blaster could use Atom Smasher while hovering, with that same caveat of "be down by the ground before trying", so I then started wondering, hey, why exactly am I using CJ on my Brute again...? Thanks.

  19. I'm hoping someone in this thread can remind me. Atom Smasher, can this be used while flying/hovering? IIRC, it's "Yes, but you have to be fairly close to the ground," isn't it? I'm trying to recall why I felt I had to use Combat Jumping for my guy.
  20. I've gotten back to my Rad^2 Brute lately, so I'm kind of keen to see read some "shop talk" on that flavor of Brute. Anyone who's got something to share, I'm all ears. @metacore, if you end up making that S/L defense build, share with the class, dig? 😉
  21. As I was saying, I'm not there for the resists, I'm there because I have occasionally found that status protection that is click-activated (and thus can't be detoggled) is a nice panic button to have. You clearly don't, so we'll just disagree and move on.
  22. Thanks for looking it over, Hyperstrike. A few points: 1) I'll respectfully disagree about Unstoppable. It's edge-case-AF, but I have had situations where I was happy to have click-based resists and status protection. 2) Re: Punch, maybe I wasn't clear, I wasn't talking about leaving Punch in 1-slotted, but rather dropping it completely, using some of those slots to beef up Boxing, which currently is just an empty pick for pool entry. I'll look over your build this weekend as opportunity permits.
  23. One thought I had last night is, drop Punch, move most of its slots to Boxing, and put in Hand Clap using a KB>KD piece, to add more control/mitigation to the build. Anyone have any experience with that?
