I have an Elec^2 I've gotten up to about 48 now. She's a lot of fun, and I've started kitting her out with set pieces so she's getting to be quite tough (or at least on the road to that point). I'll post a build later tonight. Short answer: you'll probably want every power out of the secondary, and almost everything out of Electric Blast (I skipped Voltaic Sentinel). Add in some travel pool choices and the Fighting pool (one presumes so anyway), and that takes up most of your "slack" for power picks. Fortunately, so far it's been my experience that the APPs for Sentinels are much more skippable than on other ATs. Later, Generator

I know one thing a lot of people like to harp on is "mitten hands." Which, yeah, don't look great. But if I'm being perfectly honest, when I'm out on the streets punching down bad guys (or, depending on who I'm playing, good guys!), I don't have time to stop and look at my characters' hands! Gods yes. I mean it's great that we can do what we do, get a fresh 50, give him any and all the IOs we could ever want, but if I want to just test out my guy as he is on Indom right now, an actual copy tool would be twenty times easier. -

Ice Armor is all Typed defenses (as is Energy Aura, and the Defense portions, of Invuln, and most of the others I can think of). If you want positional defenses on a Sentinel, I think you're looking at SR or bust. (Melee ATs can also use Shield for that, but that's not an option for Sentinels.)

Add my voice to what I suspectare the many who find this idea too counterintuitive. Fifteen years of thinking about slotting and recharge just got tossed on its ear.

The only one of that lot from the Kahn TF that I find to be a problem is Misfortune, she seems to present as a MC/Psi, and the combination of Terrorize and Drain psyche is not good times. Beyond that I love this method.

Okay, where is it falling down? Can you get the Shield Charge to work, for instance?

I have a few unused concepts from back in the day that could certainly become an Ice Sentinel, but now I want to take a look at the powers and see what the specific difference is from Tanker version of the set.

Does the Sentinel version even have icicles? I think in a lot of the other similar sets, the damage aura is the one that gets lost on the changeover to this archetype.

I don't know from an update to mids' numbers. By the time I noticed this last night I was nearly incoherent with fatigue. Sapper tactics, I don't use them all the time but I find more use for them than some other folks do.

Hey folks, So I've got an Elec^2 Sentinel with whom I'm quite happy. She's a refreshing change of pace from my Elec^3 Blaster. But I noticed something late last night, and wanted some feedback before I made any changes. On the aforementioned Blaster, I always used Short Circuit slotted for End Drain instead of damage, figuring I had enough other attacks slotted for damage that I could use the utility there. But by definition the Sentinel is a bit leaner in availability of attacks, so I'm trying to be more "efficient" with her. While I was in Mids last night, I realized that Sentinels' damage value for SC, well I won't call it great damage, but it's not nothing. It's almost the same value as Rad Blast.Irradiate is for Sentinels, and you wouldn't slot Irradiate just for Def Debuff. So I guess what I'm asking is: for those of you playing Elec/* Sentinels, are you slotting SC for damage in the manner of a standard PBAOE attack? Thanks for your time. Later on, Generator
