That's a good point Yomo...And I don't check it enough - the supply and demand...No one's bidding for and lots for sale...either prepare to go the long haul, or put a bare bones bid... Lots bids, no sellers...go high baby, go high!

As a real life investor, the answer here is based on your answer to this question: How soon do you need the money? If you have a lot of high dollar stuff you know is going to eventually sell, then it makes sense to set the price towards the high end of the pricing history and wait it out... If you need stuff to move, price it on the lower end...I'm not trying to be snarky but there is no universal answer... For me, when I am selling a LotG or a PVP Enhancment, I price high, because I know I'll eventually get that extra million for it... Some of the high healing/resist damage ones, I price toward the high end to squeeze out that extra 500K Everything else I want to move so I price it at the low end, because getting an extra 250K isn't worth a slot that I might be able to fill with something that'll reliably sell for $3-8M I am assuming your are taking about Set Enhancements... Because I pretty much sell everything else for 1 inf just to help out the economy...But even then, if I am out of slots, I'll go sell a store (I'll make more honestly).

justicebeliever replied to wjrasmussen's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I agree 100% with this...let's make some use of the new real estate before we rehab the old one... -
What channel/network/service is it going to be on...There were so many cool announcements from Comic Con I lost track on this one...

Nerd/Geek Culture or "Off Topic" Forum
justicebeliever replied to _NOPE_'s topic in Website Suggestions & Feedback
Awesome Possum *Thinks about 50 new posts he can start, but probably won't* -
If you shut them off before 30 secs of use, it will recharge and be ready again in 30 sec. If you use the whole 30 sec, it will not be usable again until you zone (map, train, tunnel, whatever). It's working "as designed" but it's a very crappy design...

Nerd/Geek Culture or "Off Topic" Forum
justicebeliever replied to _NOPE_'s topic in Website Suggestions & Feedback
Is "off-topic" then forbidden on the boards, or is General Discussion ok for "Nerd Culture". Seems silly we can't talk about Superheroes on a Superhero game forum... Maybe a new vote with new boards? 🙂 -
Will you all be enabling signature lines for the new forums? Preferably with a limit on what goes in there...(Some posters had sig lines that were larger than any post they ever made)

I tried that over and over again earlier and nothing happened. One second after posting this, I tried again and sure enough *facepalm* -

I haven't figured out how to update your forum picture...anyone else crack the code? Clearly it may not matter in the slightest... -
You can put in a support ticket and plead your case...they usually work with you! https://forums.homecomingservers.com/support/create/

I For One, Welcome Our New Forum Overlord....

7 minutes ago, Clave Dark 5 said:I don't want to belong to any club that will accept people like me as a member. I was voting to have you ousted. Guess I was overruled by the new overlords. They probably picked wisely... Welcome back everyone. I really like that we have a mobile format, since that’s where I do 80% of my posting -
Those power pools (part of several purchasable Power Pools) never made it to Live. The coding for the remaining 4 (Utility Belt, Experimentation, Force of Will, Gadgeteer) was partially developed into the I24 Beta Code, but not completed. But, fear not, because our awesome Homecoming Dev's are working on finishing them as we speak...So SOONTM The one Power Pool, Sorcery, is complete and available to you

Will you be transitioning over all the old posts to the new forums? Is there any user information or post information that will not be ported to the new forums? -
A couple of weeks ago he asked me to buy him some soda. I bought him a 12 pack and he asked me if I wanted him to pay me back in influence or cash. I took the influence, of course. :D Funny!

(Just For Fun) Maleficus: Baby's First Giant Monster
justicebeliever replied to Varkarrus's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
While I feel like a Monster would be better, ultimately I don't have any data on how it would play one way or the other. I really like the idea, as a GM or a Monster...either way I am still sold... -
(Just For Fun) Maleficus: Baby's First Giant Monster
justicebeliever replied to Varkarrus's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
With Giant monster scaling anyone who is at or higher than the "hidden" level of the monster does damage to it at the level of the Giant Monster. A level 50 would hit at level 7, and take damage at lvl 50. But they would have a redunculous amount of powers and defenses for a "level 7" monster and could likely solo it with a halfway decent build. Characters whose level are lower than the GM, do damage to the GM at +1 to his level, and again take damage at their level. A level 5 hits at level 8, and takes damage at lvl 5. But they have very few powers and it will require several to defeat him. The problem in Atlas is there are so many higher level characters hanging out, that I fear it would just worsen the population problem further if it's a GM, as everyone will want a badge or accolade or merit or big xp as is typical for GM's. If it's a Monster at level 7, I believe it will con white to lvl 12, and con grey at lvl 16. -
Very cool to know

Suggestion on Multiversing the game
justicebeliever replied to Zep's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
/jranger isn't trolling...It is, has been said, an unproductive and unhelpful way of saying no. Which some people do as well, following Nancy Reagan's advice and "just say no". It's always been the way of forums that people think they have veto power and can just say "no" to kill an idea. It's frustrating, but as Burnt Toast said, it's not a personal attack, and regardless of what Urban Dictionary says, and I don't think all posters mean it as "that's a dumb idea". I know when I've used it (and always with a reason), I've not specifically thought the idea was dumb. It has also become of late that we say "no" to ideas because somebody said the idea was easy. "Well, Zep, that idea sounds wonderful, and normally I'd support a change like that, but because you said it was easy to do, I'm gonna say no." This I think is also silly. We can spend 80% of thread talking about hard or easy it is (I've fallen into this as well) instead of actually talking about the pro's and con's of the change itself. It's not like the Homecoming Dev's are going to say..."Oh they said this idea is easy, so it must be...They are going to pick up on an idea, no matter how hard or easy, based on their skills, passion, the level of impact to themselves and the community. And the Homecoming Dev's, more than ANY of us, know best how big or small an idea is, due to their familiarity and experience with the code, but also they know what's on their roadmap already as well. And I'd like to think that most posters who do think something is easy, understand that they could be wrong, and if the idea is much harder than they think, understand it might be a lower priority. I'd love to see answers like - "this would be awesome, I would totally do this", or "maybe, but it's really not a priority I'd want the Dev's to spend ANY time on at all [this is effort agnostic]", or "no, I don't like the idea, regardless of the effort involved, here's why I don't like it" [/dreaming about a more harmonious world] Zep - to your specific idea...I like the concept, but I will put myself in the category of my own personal game play, having whole cities redone as alternate universes isn't going to improve my joy that much more than if there were just more portal missions that explored the idea...Maybe new portal mission story arcs that involve going to 3 different maps in each alternate world. Given that new missions would be less effort than whole city conversions...that's where my priority would lie...
