  1. I’ll echo Switchfade, it’s awesome you took the time to shout out. +1 inf
  2. Each chapter has it's own freebie and timer...
  3. To the OP - here's the same refrain and response we had a month when you complained about the exact same thing... One question though...should I just save this somewhere to trot out every month for you? No excuse is needed. We are not customers of Homecoming. They are not charging you for the priviledge of playing. You are a guest, and not entitled to anything, except what the host chooses to provide. This is a private server, essentially someone else's home. If you are seriously tired, then you have 3 options: 1.) Step away, it's just a game and if it's really causing you such stress maybe you need to do something different 2.) Go somewhere else - there are other private servers available to you. Maybe they will be to your liking? 3.) Start your own server. The notes are out there, and then you are the master of your own destiny and everything can be your way Or, maybe you aren't that seriously tired, and then maybe you should learn to be content with what you have and not all the things you don't have. And what nice hosts HC are, because they are listening to the community and choosing to spend their volunteer time to provide improvements we are asking for. Enjoy your stay..the hosts are really nice and treat us with respect. Please show the same as a good guest
  4. IDK, I heard from my mechanic’s girlfriend’s landscaper who knows the best friend of someone acquainted with the Dev’s that they are cutting subscription costs by 50% and we can expect an update when the Dev’s damn well feel like it. +1 Inf Mouse!
  5. It’s in the LFG queue, like DFB or DiB, under Events
  6. Slotted enhancements were always scaled when you ex'ed down for low-level missions, but as I understand it, the game only recorded the level at which you picked powers; the slots were the same no matter what level you'd exemp'ed down to. I believe one of the reasons for this was to make it consistent no matter how you'd slotted your enhancements -- consider a six-slotted power where three of the slots got inactivated due to exemping, and the difference in effectiveness for someone who'd put an Acc/End, an Acc/End/Rech, and an Acc/Rng in the first three slots vs. someone who'd put a Dam/Acc, a Dam/End, and a Dam/Acc/End in those slots. It would make exemping down a crapshoot before the introduction of unslotters, because the randomness with which people acquired set IOs could mean that powers were slotted in essentially random order unless you burned a respec for nothing more than ordering your enhancements. That's right srmalloy...The game is only tracking your powers by level, not the slots...When ex'ed down, the game reduces your enhancements by a certain % relative to how low you EX'ed. I'm sure they went this way to make the code simpler instead of ridiculously complicated tracking of what slots went where and when...How would unslotters work then? There would need to be giant warning flags on the respec screen, etc...I'm sure they could of done it, but this approach also avoids countless questions on why is my X Power not getting Y Enhancement... Now if you are ex'ed low enough to lose a power, then obviously you lose all the enhancements on the power Obviously there are special enhancements that allow you to break these rules, but this is the general idea.
  7. Is Summer Blockbuster leaving after July?
  8. I believe that if you exit the game and go into your CoH installation folder, there will be a folder with your game account username. In that folder is playerslot.txt. This file is used to store the manual order of characters...Delete it and reload the game and see what happens... It won't break anything to delete it, the game should recreate it once you get back to the character selection screen and move around a character again.
  9. "We lose a little on each sell, but we make it up in volume". j/k
  10. This is a great starting place, thank you all so much... I'll be posting back here when I have more questions!
  11. Xaeon, +2 1 for the Pool sets you came up with and another for Atomic Control...I really like that set and would love to get it on a controller!!!
  12. I'm not clear on the meaning of your question either, but I like to put a bit of real history or science into my characters. The origins don't matter, just pick the one I think ties best to what the background is on the character. For me, and less so for other role-players, I always put as a detailed an origin story as I can fit into the Bio screen. Haven't found a "crew" that I regularly team with, mostly solo or PUG's, but when role-play exists, I'd prefer to clear a room, chat a little in-character, and rinse and repeat. Mostly however, I find myself joking OOC because, again, it's harder to get a good "role-play" with a PUG.
  13. This is a really awesome guide...love the details on the recipes and the conversions to go for...+1 Inf!
  14. Can your teammates see you? I should hope so...it would break the game mechanics if they can't... I get what you are saying...there is only so much immersion to be expected in the game...but where it exists, I'd prefer it be kept...
  15. I like the idea. Would this be something can do, with Demo Recording and pin it at the tools section? Someone builds a pretty plain tech base and a pretty plain arcane base, takes the recordings and posts them? Maybe it doesn’t work that way, but it would happen a lot faster than the Dev’s could do it.
  16. Would you put someone on a pickup group on ignore before the team is disbanded? I’d be too afraid that I would miss some critical conversation to the missions success or miss the advanced warning that said idiot is going to do something. If it was truly unbearable I would kick the person, or ask the leader in a tell, “this is getting unbearable for me - either the idiot goes or I go”. Still no resolution? I’d leave. After the team, of course put the player on ignore... Maybe that was all assumed in this conversation, but I am curious if I am missing something.
  17. I'm sure they meant "viscous". Those devoured earth are awful oily...Takes a lot of soap to get the grease off after fighting them...Not to mention the thorns... Seriously, that is badly written
  18. What is the current version? I have 2.23 dated 5/16. I click check for updates and it finds nothing...
  19. This might provide some context: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,4179.0.html TL;DR - There is a bug-hunter badge, it was seldom given on live, and we don't know if the Dev's here are going to use it or not... Regardless, I appreciate your heroism and give you +1 Inf EDIT: And welcome to Paragon City, "Badges...we need those stinkin' badges...so tell us where they are!"
  20. Or if you are in a zone that doesn't have a Wentworth's and want to go to a zone that does...I use it get out of the Hollows all the time on my lower level characters
  21. Couple of questions: 1.) Did I do harm to you in-game, in the forums, in real life, or in some dream state? 2.) Did I argue with anybody in this thread? Or attempt to intentionally provide wrong information? Because I did read the article. There is no need to be insulting about my reading or writing skills...I can certainly see that I didn't communicate clearly, for that I apologize...does this never happen to you?
  22. I am a big fan of giving the Speed pool some love, but making Super Speed faster will make it faster than I could manage. Literally my reaction time wouldn’t be able to react quick enough to obstacles, turns, mobs, etc. I am a gigantic no on buffing SS. Because doing so would make it useless to me.
  23. And +1 inf to you Bossk Hogg. And you’ve permanently got me thinking about trandoshian bounty hunters chasing the General Lee around Hazard County.
  24. I hear what you are saying MrNotorion. But when people are having a knock down drag out fight in the Help Channel about who is the best X-man (Iceman obviously), and if you try to suggest they redirect, they start to scream (all caps) about the Help Police and Chat Police and tell you where to stick your redirect, i’m disinclined to think self policing will work. I have taken to just ignoring the Help channel now. But seriously, if you try it for a week, and share with us your learnings, then I will try it as well.
  25. I’m not complaining about DFB, and I’m not suggesting any change. However, 45% of LFG on Everlasting is DFB, and about 10% is MT. That means in the 4-7 lines of chat that someone has open in the Global Tab, half is Help Chat, and of the 50% remaining, half is DFB or a mistell. Of the 25% remaining, is all competing with each other for at least 2 competing Posi 1 TF’s, 1 posi 2, one Synapse, and 2 radio/newspaper missions. And then all other types of missions/TF’s/Trials. I can form a DFB trial in under 60 seconds. It takes maybe 5 minutes for Posi 1 TF. Posi 2/Synapse - 10 min. Anything else- 20-30 minutes. So it definitely has some effect. That being said, I’m not suggesting we change the system...it’s the cost of doing business. But it can literally be like 3,000% harder.
