  1. Okay I wasn't supposed to let people know, so this may get me kicked out of the club, but the extra 10% not covered is: killing your target before they kill you. Results may vary.
  2. Late to the party...but just saying thorns gets one more cone power than fire assault.
  3. Yeah that's some nice single target right there, and both powers as you see are great candidates for some procs.
  4. Recently mids reborn changed their formatting of build files so your version of Mids Reborn matters depending on which extension you're trying to open. The newest version can open old builds, but the older version can not. Here's the discord link to Mids Reborn where you can get help using the program: https://discord.gg/mids-reborn-593336669004890113
  5. @Ston seeing staff range in CoD at 9 feet for melee attacks instead of the 10 you stated, otherwise I fully agree about sky sky splitter. Staff works best IMO as a stalker as the introduction of Assassin's Staff helps a lot (although it still under performs compared to other stalker sets). I also think it's alright on a tank due to the modifiers that tanks get for increased range/arc for cones/AoE/target cap.
  6. That does sound pretty awesome right there. I personally pug a lot, and on pugs I like to be self-reliant so I usually build blasters to give me a decent base defense for what I anticipate fighting and then damage through the roof. That said I have years of experience playing blasters in pvp using mobility (jousting) and knowing what my enemies are capable of so I really do not need softcapped defense unless I'm going afk during a fight to change a diaper (I have a 9 month old so that occasionally happens). If I had a regular group and was building for say hard mode content, I would trust in my teammates buffs and barrier cycles and focus on maximizing the most DPS I could muster.
  7. The AH is largely player driven and is the closest thing to a free market economy the game has. To implement the OP's proposed rules would circumvent the very principle of an economy that is player driven. For this reason alone, I have to say a hard no based on the suggestions. The only justification I can presume from their post is that they are frugal and unable to afford to slot their toons as they wish "now". So once again, hard no.
  8. Welcome back folks. I wanted to get this one up early as I'll likely be checked out later in the week given Diablo 4 is coming out. So this week we discuss the state of Buffing. Ideally we'll focus on debuffs in a separate post, so for the purpose of this post keep it to buffs (and yes heals are buffs to an HP bar). Feel free to discuss, compare, and contrast any buff sets in the game. Do you have a preferred buff set you enjoy? Is there one that you don't like? What do you find enjoyable about playing a buffer? Is there anything that holds you back from being a buffer? Do you have any interesting thoughts for a new buff powerset? Do you find buffs to be in a good place now or does it need tuning? As always thanks for playing.
  9. I guess my brain must of skipped over that as not taking soul drain is pretty sacrilegious but then again he's a soulless vampire so maybe he doesn't need to drain souls. I play a ice/dark/dark with melee/ranged/energy softcaps and make ample use out of soul drain. The pairing of ice and dark is very synergistic given tar patch plus ice storm/blizzard. And being originally from the tundra, you can't see shit in a blizzard so darkest night helps there too.
  10. Respec from soul to dark. Even better.
  11. Dull pain I'll either 5 (using +5'd panacea) or 6 (using preventative medicine) slots. It's really rare that I have physical perfection as I can address what it provides by getting stat boosting accolades and just the inherent bonuses that I get well chasing other bonuses.
  12. Endgame content both PBs and Warshades sadly are currently fairly outclassed from a min/max perspective l, otherwise well enough they can be casually used especially on well skilled players. PBs are more consistent and do not rely on mob density, but a Warshade usually outperforms most PBs (if played by an equally skilled player) at least in my experience. The mez protection issue is something that depending on team composition could be mitigated, or you can take clarion. Double mire is amazing but yes requires at least biform. I would personally recommend taking lobster at the very least just for double mire and the fact that you can shift into dwarf while mezzed essentially a break free. I've suggested over the years adding mez protection to human shields and fixing the damage aspects of the ATs. There is some issue with how DPA is applied over some attacks and their damage scale, but hopefully will be addressed. Changeling builds are in the best place they've been due to toggle suppression so that's extremely helpful for them. It's still my hope that the ATs get a more significant look at addressing their long standing issues (in addition to creating more Kheldian related content, reintroduction of void hunters, cysts).
  13. I've played Kheldians for a long time. I've done triform, biform, human only on both PB and WS. Personally I think triform is the better way to play them so my answer likely has some bias. Human form only: PB Basically a Jack of All Trades, Master of None. You get some ranged, melee, and AoE. You get a heal other if you choose, dull pain clone and can fly. Light form gives you a mediocre amount of mez protection but no psionic resistance . It crashes taking half your HP and you can make it Perma but not avoid the crash. It's similar to a Sentinel albeit with some melee thrown in the mix. Doesn't require density WS Built-in stealth, teleportation powers allows you to control which encounters you engage in. Damage Aura+ Soul Drain clone Sustain in stygian circle - probably the best sustain in the game. 2-3x pets, unchained essence AoE from dead bodies, inky Aspect stunning trash Eclipse crashless res the all and gives you endurance at its start Requires mob density Negative damage is typically less resisted than energy damage. The mez holes can be plugged with clarion I personally find if limited to human only a Warshade built with Perma eclipse recharge and slow res performs better in most content. It suffers though when trying to solo giant monsters or some AVs once the surrounding mob density is depleted. That said if you're limiting yourself to human only because of concept that's one thing, but if it's because of playability complexity due to shape shifting and power trays....well that can easily enough be resolved with keybinds.
  14. I play an ill/sav too. Give a plant/ta troller a try despite it being a controller it does pretty decent damage.
  15. It has a use for stuff like the holiday events to quickly warp the league to the objective (Halloween for instance). If I'm on a toon with it slotted I'll occasionally Incan a league back to the safe rock areas in the hive or abyss once Hami pops (it saves maybe 30 seconds so it's not the most important but since aegis and rebirth stacks are usually capped and barrier doesn't do anything, I figure its better than barrier in that situation).
  16. That will be coming up for a topic soon (probably in a few weeks).
  17. Plants is an underrated but very fun secondary.
  18. Welcome back folks. This week we're talking all things purple (except for Warshades)... Feel free to discuss, compare, and contrast any control sets in the game. Do you have a preferred control set you enjoy? Is there one that you don't like? What do you find enjoyable about playing control sets? Is there anything that holds you back from playing control sets? Do you have any interesting thoughts for a new control powerset? Do you find mez to be in a good place now or does it need tuning? As always thanks for playing.
  19. Given it's AoE radius, recharge and the fact that you're a blaster I think you could potentially get more slot efficiency out of your character by other means.
  20. Man that explains why I'm always losing money. I've been operating in reverse for years. I need to quit buying high and selling low. Then again I just buy more IOs and DCA, and I'm sure eventually I'll get my average cost back to a reasonable rate to sell for a los...er gain.
  21. They have a difficulty setting that you can use for TFs to buff enemies, debuff players, and make enhancements useless. Try all that on a +4x8 TF with say a team of 5. Have fun.
  22. If it was a homecoming global then a GM may be able to help you if they can verify the account is yours. If it was an account on the old live servers, it's lost to the ether.
  23. If I don't take it on a troller, I have other means of slotting the +7.5% HP proc and the 2 +3% defense uniques (if I'm chasing defense for anything).
  24. I admitting had to teleport to Pocket D and then ran player made story arcs the rest of the way. Once I was 50 I finally took the jump to primal earth, because a praetorian can't get stat boosting accolades.
  25. Crossed eyed blast. Otherwise I think it's hysterical in the rare times that you are on a stalker in hide, pop build up and use a slow AS only for it to miss.
