My wife teaches ESL during the weeknights online so those nights are pretty free for me. I'll weave some COH time during the week, usually a couple hours in a night a night or three a week. On the weekends, it's never the same thing twice. I've finished everything I thought I had to do, sat down, logged in and immediately had to log off because I thought I'd finished everything...until someone proved me wrong. I've also sat down on a Saturday morning and played until the evening.

For a thread about positivity:

I just wish Fold Space would pull melee players in with it. Nothing quite like jumping into a mob, right about to click your aoe aaaaaaand "where'd everybody go?". If I got pulled along for the ride and my aoe hit the enemies, that'd be spiffy. As it is, it ruffles my jammies more often than not.

I have too many alts and get distracted way too easily to ever be rich in this game. I'm more of a middle class level. I'm not broke at any time, but there are times I have to watch spending until I can build up a nest egg again. I don't play the market (other than just selling orange and the rare purple drops, prismatics and turning merits into enhancers) but I do okay. If everything was free, yeah it'd seem cool...at first. It'd get boring fast. I do enjoy finally being able to finish off a build fully. It's a sense of accomplishment. Sometimes, I think the 1%ers forget that even though they just snap their fingers and are fully kitted, the majority of players are not in that space. Put me down for keeping the status quo.

I usually turn my nose up at the "Hey, here's a really cool and established character, but young and just starting out. Enjoy!" trope. However, this intrigues me.

Aaaaand now I have a mental image of Snarky on a team with that person and just spending the whole TF licking everyone and it's now stuck in my minds eye. So, thanks for that.

I. Can. Afford. Set. IOs. Back on Live, that seemed to be a pipe dream. The Homecoming team really reigned in the obnoxious mess that was the auction house.

Does this mean origin/bios are a must? I hope so! Too many contests ignore that side of the creative process.

I haven't tested the new stuff on Beta, so I have no clue how the Skulls become high end enemies, but out of the list provided I originally voted "none". Now, however, I'd change that to the Outcasts. They already have powers. There are so many things that are in the games lore that provide for powerups. They could find a way to tap the Well or get hold of some secret super serum or their mutations could react wildly with exposure to who knows what. I wouldn't leave Frostfire in charge, though. Let him have his full redemption finally (hell, make him a Vigilante if not a Hero). Create a new leader for them and make them really powerful.

I did an Ice/Rad Brute like this. TOs til 12, then DOs til 22, SOs from then on with IO sets added where I can. Kept costs down for a good while, but yeah...felt like old times in the power department. Ice Patch is soooo good to keep you alive, though.

*Hate doing them, but I understand the need at times. Hell, I've done one just to take the base IOs off a character before I put their IO sets in (waste not, want not). The interface is cluuuuuuunky and beyond tedious when you have to drag and drop every. single. enhancement. to. the. tray. *Honestly, a "put everything left in the tray" function would help immensely. Keeping your trays as they were without having to use the quirk would be nice. *There's a few characters I play now that will need respecs with the coming patch. So, yes <grumble grumble> I will be doing some soon.
